Now many more people know about one of the best football rivalries in the nation.  Zach was at a bar last night and basically everyone in the bar was saying the same thing....

Can't believe the talent on the football field for both teams "and its right under our noses"....

Yup...now they know!!!

Boyz-

Str8gangsta was very pleased to reside in Mr. Roger's section of Bailey Field for the shoot-out.  Str8gangsta contacted Cooperstown Brewing Company with TI's Old Slugger-and- Heinz mustard-packet alternative to Corona with a lime.  They seemed unimpressed.

Union82, your slick-leafed slide demonstrated your devotion.

TI -- based on your 5 servings of chili (and various other bowel-shaking endeavors) must be, as I post, providing an historic self Dutch(man)-oven.

If U gets homefield, and y'all are coming up, please contact Str8gansta.

Was a great time, and a good win.

Peace.

We got a kick out of the Old Slugger and Heinz Mustard.
PS: "Original" fleece is hard to find. Its like man-made materials, before they were made by man.

Luckily to UNION 82's still, cat-like reflexes, he bounced right back up from leaf slide. If UNION 82 had bought a ticket, UNION 82 would think about lawsuit. HAHA ;D

Recall, also, the "bigger dope" that also slipped, and almost crushed U82- he must have thought it was some tradition he didn't know about. (Like wearing the puffy shirt on Seinfeld). People always want to be like U82 when they meet U82 in person, "Never has there been a man, more misunderstood". (Remington Steele, the series)

Where were all of you "cool" guys when U 82 went to college?
It was a bunch of d-bags and cut-throats back then. Oh, yeah, you guys were still in middle school. My bad. U 82 sometimes forgets U82 is a 45 year old adolescent. Then again, Mrs. U82 often reminds U82.

Forgot some of the RPI guys names, U82 was so much in awe of RT! Nice meeting all of you.

Take sh*t from no man, woman, child, or small animal.

Thanks for explaination Frank, the guru just took Alfred over Cortland and put them at #7 coming to Schenectady. Interesting debate, someones getting an ECAC (and screwed).
The only true currency in this bankrupt world... is what you share with someone else when you're uncool.

Frank-  The NCAA wouldn't be likely to matchup Cortland and Rowan Round 1 since both are from the NJAC.

The E8/Cortaca pages have been quiet since most of the 15 or so usual posters are spending the weekend at the Holiday Inn... I'm sure most will swallow their pride.  Ithaca made too many mistakes to a good team like Cortland.
Thousands of fans join in the revelry, showing their Bomber pride and support for the football team. Some fans take the rowdiness a little too far, however, by starting fights, damaging property and tipping Port-a-Potties. -Ithacan, November 10th

I think that Coach King's assesment of Union could be used for every East team in the playoffs this year....

It IS ironic that the Guru suggests that Alfred would come off the board first and then be at the bottom of the non-auto-qualifying teams in the East, even below Cortland.  I'm still not so sure about the Committee picking Alfred over Cal Lutheran...it's a tough call, I agree.  The in-region, out-of-region thing has always bugged the hell outta be, especially when the games were all vs. D3 opponents.  Cal Lutheran's only loss came to a top 10 team (Occidental), and they finished 8-1.  I don't think that can be overlooked so easily (.889 winning percentage), especially when you have two two-loss teams going over Cal Lutheran in this case (Cortland and Alfred).

No doubt, however, that this is a tough choice.  Geography may play a big role, as we saw last night that the East is in need of teams (only 6 are shoo-in picks).  Three first-round flights out of 16 games in the Guru's analysis surprises me a bit, although I guess in the West and South that is to be expected with the geography covered.

I'll still take one more shot at the East:

1) D Valley
2) Union
3) Rowan
4) Hobart
5) Capital
6) Ithaca
7) Cortland
8) Curry

This takes into account the Rowan/Cortland issue I overlooked earlier.  Only problem is that Ithaca could rematch Cortland in Round 2.  Not sure much can be done about that, especially since both would need to beat higher seeds for that to materialize.  If the Committee picks Alfred, then I agree with the Guru's East picks.

Yeah. Originally we had projected another team in that Pool C slot and then reconsidered.

Pat:

I'm sure you've got a million things to do today, but when you get a chance I'm curious to hear your thoughts on the Union-RPI game, how you think the LL stack up, and whether you think Union has a chance to make a run in the playoffs...

And the lucky winner of a trip to beautiful Schenectady to take on Union is...

Ithaca!

Thats awesome!

Bomber 27 wishes he could make the trip, missing out on a hell of a game

I am stoked to see a bracket already.

My predictions for the East:

Del Valley over Curry...perhaps a "double stompout."

Hobart over Cortland St. in a fairly tight game.

Rowan dyslexic stomps Wilkes.

Ithaca/Union: Not sure, but momentum seems to be in Union's favor, therefore I will go with U.

Second round:

Del Valley over Hobart
Rowan over Union

Third round: Rowan over Delaware Valley.
