Gro Villa just fixed his toilet that was running more than diddy in the NYC marathon. And I didn't have to pay some guy 50 bucks.

Hey Gro....
Jiggling a handle doesnt count bre.
Try hanging a kitchen full of cabinets, relocating a sink 4 feet, moving a dishwasher, adding a supply line for a refirgerator, adding new drain lines, replacing a bathroom vanity and drain lines, and dealing with a water softener company that makes you want to kick someone in the head.

PS- Last weekend Reg and Papa Reg figured they saved Reg a minimum of $2500 bucks (between hanging cabinets and plumbing)....what did Reg have to give papa Reg.....?  A new set of sperry topsiders, since his old ones were ruined during said weekend.

Gro, good job dude.

Now that Reg thinks about it, I would bet $10 bucks that you had to bend the float a little lower in order to hit the threshold...

The bet is on..

Gro- We are boys....but I happen to be surfing on DIY.com and saw the post
"Toilet wont stop running in TN...HELP GRO!!!"....and had to comment.

Here is a question to the group.....How many people here would rather go online to a forum to ask a question, rather than having to deal with "normal people" (aka-Service guy #1-3)

Reg has nearly talked himself into buying a completely new water softener.....Should be able to pick one up from the home depot for a little over $300 bucks.....OR give service guy 3 money while he is on the clock...scratching his head telling me "I've never see that before" (I would say it should cost about $150.....but you never know)

If this were choose your own adventure....WWLLPP do?

enough about Gro's ironic lack of mechanical skills... neither here nor there right?

Wasn't even at work for 10min before getting bombarded by cust. service rep (CSR) to "help" her son go to summer camp... hands gro a catalog of scented candles where the smallest one is $14.   Sounds like we're PAYING for CSR's son to go to camp! Whatever happened to $1 candy bars?

GRO- Good point

I think we need to set up some sort of APB on School fundraisers in the LLPP.

If someone approaches you with a fundraiser event (candy, easter stuff, ETC) PLEASE report it immediately to the group.

That way, the LLPP can turn off all lights and hide out upstairs rather than waiting in the living room for the 7 different kids knocking on your door selling you the exact same thing.  Once you open the door, it is hard to say "no thanks" to the kid that looks like he is going to cry if you don't purchase the easter bunny with jelly beans inside it.

Just a though....

We've had no less than THREE fundraisers at our workplace in the last six weeks or so. The most recent was the easiest, as it is the $1 candy bar sale from one of our advertising representatives so her nephew can go to boy scout camp for free.
The other two have been of the "buy candy and flowers, the cheapest of which is $15 kind, both for school fundraisers.... it's like you look like a dope if you don't help and buy something but I don't have $15 just lying around, ya know?

getting charged $1 for a candy bar that's worth $0.75 is ok... paying $15 for a candle I can get at Target for $4... that's insane.

is it cool that Gro frequents target and lowes as much as he does best buy? I need some reassurance here.

In Grads workplace people aren't allowed to do that although he has seen people put up little signs asking for money for whatever the cause is. Grad usually walks by and says no thanks, he & mrs grad have certain fundraisers/charities they give to anyway. And Grad has to support his own charity, himself & the mrs first, sorry folks.

I would agree that it is cool. Target and Lowe's are not as cool as Best Buy, but I don't see any problem in frequenting all three equally. :D

Gro,I agree with you on the $1 for the candy bar, but when they charge more then that..well...But then again, you can go to CVS near me and get 2 candy bars for like 80 cents or 2 big ones for like $1.50. Sometimes when Mrs Grad and I go, there are kids selling the same exact candy bars outside for twice the price!!  It's like "kid don't you think you should be selling it outside a story that DOESN'T sell the same candy bar for HALF THE PRICE that you are"

Target & Lowes are alright (we have Depot near us)..but Best Buy is still better..Grad also has no problem frequenting said stores..sometimes Target even has better deals on cd's or dvds.

Reg,

Does buying a raffle ticket count?  Garnet is in the running for a 20 inch LCD TV.  No way he will win it even though there is a 250 ticket cap.

'Gro,
Garnet also goes to Target often.  They have the big box of diapers and the large cans of formula powder.   When you have a child that goes through the stuff like it's nobody's business, it pays to buy in bulk.
