Basically, look at how close your proposed new locale is to the things you like.

things like restaurants, bars, parks, airports, S&M dungeons, shopping malls... whatever floats BB's boat.  That's what the Grofather does (3 moves since 2002).

K for all who posted since Bobbys plea for help on the transfer.

The future job will be a better job and we will be near family.  So with respect to job and location, it is a slam dunk.....  If Bobby can work out the finacials of the relocation package and position increase.

For now bobby understands the following is non negotiable for bobby to make the move

- Company should cover physical moving expenses
- Company should cover all closing costs, real estate commisions, etc......
- Company should buy bobbys house at a fair market value (Avg of 3 appraisals) if it is not sold within 3 months.
- If Company transfer bobby out of new location, company buys house at FMV if not sold after 3 months, however, Bobby can not take more than a 10% loss on house.

Negotiable - Bobby gets a 20% increase in pay.  Don't know what Bobby would actually settle for, but 20% seems high.

Is bobby missing anything?
