Bring on the deductions!! The sale of thug mansion I might hurt this years refund but Gro is also going to re do his 2004 taxes because he's pretty sure he screwed himself over by not itemizing.

Uncle Sam... this time it's personal.

How long did Gro own Thug I?  Next time always do a 1031 exchange.  Easy way to roll profits into the next property regardless of how long you owned the previous property.

That way you defer gains as long you roll the profit into the new property.

What is this woman doing?

Reaching for some cheese?  Supporting the team?

Good question KS.

My grandmother is over eighty and still doesn't need glasses. Drinks right out of the bottle.  (Yasmine Bleeth comment valid unless prohibited by your College's code of ethics for Alums)

I figured she was some sort of Athletic Supporter.

Smited for solid tax advice... What is this the Northwest Conference?

Anyway JT's heading over to check out the BE (Brett Elliott, he's now just initials) lovefest.  The NFL draft is coming up.  JT hasn't checked in a while but he bets they are just going bonkers over in the NWC about the possibilities.  JT will report back.

JT

Must be the calm before the storm... NWC has been pretty dead lately.

just did my taxes on turbotax.  My tax guy from last year got put on probation and is not allowed to do taxes in massachusets this year. (thats another story for another time)

Pretty cool though.  It was good to see that when I said I bought some electronic equipment for work related purposes, my return went up $95 right in front of my eyes.  That made me scramble and look for other things I bought last year that are "work related"  Clothes, cleaners, gas.....Over all made about hundreds of dollars back from items I used.
Hopefully I did it the right way or I might be with Holladawg in '07.

Im gonna say Holladawg is in jail for dropkicking a personal trainer in the winter.  Im sure he will get out by the summer.

I though you had a decent job....from the statement made above Reg is starting to think that you are either a gas station attendant or one of the guys who stands in the bathroom of a bar who gives you soap and a towel.

What's wrong with taking back the $$ the man takes from you?

Regulator

Gro-

There is nothing wrong with digging back into the money daman owes you...period,

Let me ask you this...why not go to H&R Block to have them done?  If you think you shorted yourself back a couple of years ago....they may be able to help.  Also with the way you did your taxes this year...it may be more difficult.

How much do they charge to have them done.  Fortunately for REG MILoMR (mother in law of Mrs Reg) is a CPA.
Unfortunately for Reg that means he cannot expense some things he would have to avoid questions like...."How is it possible you want to expense a 12-pack a day as mental therapy sessions?

Reg - Gro will Git'R'Done on the taxes today... and I have a $10 coupon to H&R Blizzle.

Ok no more tax talk... makes Gro feel old and dirty. Gro's been holding on to this one... not really a rant just an observation.

GGF has recently been all about buying organic foods. She claims that they are "better" for you.  Gro likes a few chemical additives in his foods, it makes him feel like the 6 million dollar man (na-na-na-na-na-na-na). You'd think foods that lack chemicals would be slightly cheaper than mass produced items... nope. One trip w/ GGF to the organic only food mart changed all that. The costs were rediculas. Reg, I didn't check the price of butter, I'll get back to you (and mamaGro) on that one. Personally, judging by the employes and customers in the store, I think it was a front for some kind of neo-hippie-communist movement.

LLPP, you've been warned.

Don't try organic kethcup.  It's gnarly.

Now, this weekend was the NC Azalea Festival, held in lovely Wilmington, NC.  Good times.  WTFF and LD11 hit up the parade Saturday and although there were a lot of things to make mention of, 1 stuck out more than the others...

I saw this little high school couple walking down the skreet holding hands.  The girl had a picture of the two of them on a custom made t-shirt, and they were making out.  It said like 'Terence loves Shaquita' or something like that.  I laughed it off...Then the couple walked by us and I got to read the back....

It read...

'Ain't no n!gga$ or b!tche$ that can get in between dis'

These kids were like 15 years old for one.  And everyone can make their own assumptions about the rest.  But I immediately burst out laughing, and got LD11's older brother on the phone to share the news.

I suppose, in 5 years, if they miss the 6 baby having phase, that t-shirt will fall into the 'What the F were we thinking?' category.  But probably not.

RE: Whole Foods

Gro,
Reg cannot stand the movement known as whole foods.  I go there.....all these people with little shopping carts running around smelling everything to make sure it's fresh.

Secondly, does buying organic food make you slow or something?  It is like they are moving around in slow motion....get the heck out of the way with your tiny cart.

Finally, Does buying organic foods make you better than me?  It is like you are buying into a better life or something.

Gro- take your butter and have a nice life...I am no longer good enough for you

EDIT

RE: Wilmington:  Hilarious times... Gro shoulda been there, but the man wouldn't let Gro have vacation.

One thing Gro never understood are couples who walk with thier arms around the others waist. Walking in that position is frickin impossible. You end up walking down the street bumping into each other the whole time.  The only remedy is to cross your steps over a la 'The Monkeys' intro.... you know what I'm talking about.

p.s. any couples spotted with either person's hand in the other person's back pocket with be doused with organic ketchup and beaten with a rubber chicken.

Re: Whole Foods
I don't buy them, but I've witnessed the people in their tiny carts. In my only trip GGF purchases "a few things for a meal" and it cost over $50. The lady in front of us, who smelled like potato skins... had a full cart and dished out $300 for her whole foods. The whole ordeal made me want to eat a 20pc. of chicken mcnuggets.

Kilted Rat

Mrs. KR tried making a meal with all organic foods once because she thought it was healthier.

KR filled the entire apartment that night with a vengeful organic fart cloud that still has not fully dispersed.

Mrs. KR no longer tries to bring that organic crap into KR's domain.

Moral of the story: Organic food tastes like crap, costs a ton but on the plus side it gives you really strong gas!
