IF IthICA loses plan on hearing what we heard when they lost to RPI...IF it wasn't snowing...IF it was only sunny and 50 degrees, IF Cole wasn't so darn good....U's been criticized for "wine and cheese", but geez....

IF we only played at home...IF, IF, IF!!! It's not just a matter of Union matching up to IthICA, Hobart and RPI also match up...

LL has 3 teams capable of beating IthICA....

zachattack22

AND...IF RPI was playing instead of U...Zach would be there for RPI regardless of the rivalry....LL UNITES for the cause!!! Plenty of time to kick the crap out of each other all over again next season.

Congrats to RPI for their effort this year...That is one scary offense!

YIKES!!!

I'll be there at Francine Bailey field.  Can't wait.  Should be a heck of a game.

Don't get me wrong... I hate Union, but I might almost hate IC more.  I lost to Union once... I lost to IC twice.

I'd like to see Union hang half a hundred on the bombers...  I'd be curious if Union can get the same kind of crowd support that they had at the RPI game...

Good luck to all LL teams still playing.  E8 sucks

Holladawg,
Thanks for the greetings. We really wanted to run into RPI somewhere in the playoffs - someday it'll happen - what a blast that will be.

Zach thinks that's interesting on the crowd support comment. Zach will probably take some heat for this...BUT, Zach has sat through too many games where the team needed the crowd and it was dead silence.  IF Union didn't throw up immediate points or was struggling...it was way too quiet....IF crowds can help the pros, they certainly would have an impact at D-3...Zach believes you have to play with smarts, but with major emotion and intensity and it's weird doing that with a stone silent crowd...Players seem to have great parent support, but you need a lot of people making noise even when things aren't going well!!! Actually, you need them more when thinks are not going well!

IC and Union are cut from the same cloth, thats why its so easy to hate the bombers.

I've never been so insulted in my life.

I did wear a maroon sweater when I was 8 though.

Gro calls it like Gro sees it. When you win, it's because you're so great, lose and it's excuse city (ahem, snow).

Should be a good game at the Frank, don't know much about IC this year.

Its alright Jonny, alot of people hate the bombers.  Bobby thinks JU will eventually get over it.

The early forecast for Saturday is: Partly sunny, High 46, Low 29.  Perfect weather for football.

Zach,
Garnet made a comment to U89 during the game Saturday regarding the size of the crowd and how quiet it was.  Check out Garnet and U89 in the crowd.....
Look at the top row from left to right...see the tall dude in red?  Garnet and U89 are right in front of him.  Garnet is in the yellow cap.

Gro, that's one thing Zach wishes he could change the most...There's always that "one" game where a team can really get screwed with bad calls, bad luck, etc...It happens....Zach looks back at the Hobart game last year and says that IF you want to win the game, then you find a way to get IN the end zone...Not close, not maybe...You freakin get IN!!! Zach takes heat for that sometimes.

U- vs. RPI....a simple five yard face mask penalty leads to RPI not punting the ball from mid field and this lead to a scoring drive...The temptation is to say, dang...that was a cheap call, or if we just didn't have that penalty that scoring drive would'nt have happened....Bull! S__t happens...That's when a team can't collapse and has to hold the other team to 3 instead of six, etc....No excuses!

Zach doesn't go for the "if only" stuff except for the really freakish plays that sometimes decide games and the official that sometimes just can't let the players play or is afraid to make an obvious call that can change the game.  Even then, a team usually has to decide that they can either deal with the adversity or use it as an excuse to collapse mentally...Zach can't stand the "IF" syndrome! As someone who has coached young kids in the past...zach always told them "IF" was not allowed...Because "IF" we were good enough, we would find a way to win even "IF" bad things were happening!

What's the seating capacity of the U's field?

GB is wondering if IC will have more fans than the U this Saturday.

Naked Nott Run

GB should wonder how your gonna stop our run game and not about where he is going to sit
Anyone notice how none of the kids from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory were even a little bit cool... Where was the athlete who pile drives wonka into the chocolate river??? Coulda done sooo much more with that "classic"

zachattack22

Garnet, thanks for that pic actually....Zach's son is down near the fence line and now Zach has a pic to show him...that was a monster crowd!
