With gas at $2.65 in Iowa KR assumes it's buttloads more expensive on the east coast.

$2.84 here

$2.49 in Jersey City

$2.85 here in Boston....U89 may need to drive down to Jersey City to fill up.

LD11 isn't quite sure as he hasn't paid for gas in 2 years, but he believes gas is in the $2.80 range around here.  Suckas.

To the Boston boys, I know it's a little early but LD11 will be making the trip North for the last weekend in April to see a band called Ten Mile Tide playing at the Common Ground in Allston.  They are a legit band from San Fran that LD11 and friends have had many a crazy night with.  After party with the band is gonna be at my boys house in West Newton.  Come 1 come all.  Check out there website to hear some tunes.  I'll mention it as the date gets closer but you should come out for a fine fine delicious beer, and for U89, a tasty Zima with a green Skittle dropped in.

Ha, good stuff.  U89 needs something to wash down the pony poop burgers.

From the "Scary but True" file:
PopsU89 has consumed more alcohol in his lifetime than the entire LLPP clan combined.  Back when U89 was a pup, U89 used to have to make beer runs to the fridge while PopsU89 sat on the couch and watched the ballgame.  PopsU89 beer of choice is 16oz. Narragansetts..... :-[.  PopsU89 called U89 on the phone about 5 years ago and says, "Do youself a favor, next time you're out at a bar, buy yourself a Zima with a splash of Chambourd."
U89 has since changed his name because he know longer knows who the old-timer from Worcester is....

Garnet watches CNBC all day long due ot the nature of his business.  Chris Jansing just did a report.  For those of you who were in Schenectady back in the mid eighties, you might remember her as Chris Kopostachi (sp?) from WNYT Ch.13 NBC in Albany.

She looked better on TV than this picture.

Mid 80s? She was on there as late as probably 1996 or 1997... I watched Channel 13 all the time.

Wow Budcrew....check out our post totals.....scary, huh??

Garnet

Budcrew,

Garnet has not lived in Schenectady since 1989 so he had no idea the she was still with WNYT that long.

Out of the blue Garnet sees her on the big network.  He said that's not Chris Jansing, that's Chris Rottencrotchy.  Our juvenile nickname for her back in the day.

yeah... weird ::)

JT

JT's betting that gas will be at least $3.00 by Memorial Day and $4.00 by 4th of July in the North Jersey area.  Record profits again and nothing will be done by the govt.

Gro finds this picture hilarious, especially if there are halfway decent looking women in your office.

U89, you are also welcome to be a guest of mine at my private club, the McGolf Country Club in Dedham, MA.  Im not sure if a central mass guy could handle the nationally feared 18th green at the MCC though.

Word.  We may have to do a little home and home.

Hell we should get together when LD11 is in town.....U89 would like nothing more than to spank an Ithaca Bomber & a RPI Engineer/Hawk all in the same day...sweet.  U89 drinks like a fish out on the course by the way.

Gro,
Here is a list of things KR learned during President Bush's brief visit to Des Moines Tuesday. The motorcade passed right by KR's school and apartment.

8.  It is not ok to ask a secret service agent if President Bush wants to sign your butt.
.

This one got a good laugh out of Reg.
Is it wierd that Reg has lived 30 mins from the capitol for 3 years and has not done the touristy thing once?  I did go for the "White House christmas tour" and by chance got to see the presidents dawg take a dump on the front lawn.  That was sweet....but the only beef I had was that the guards wouldn't let me pick it up "for a souveneer"

Lived here for 15 years and have not toured the White House.

Of course, for half that time I wouldn't have wanted to.
