KR ~
What is your specialty going to be in medicine?

Since KR will be a Navy doctor, his primary speciality will be short-arm inspections where he gets to say "Skin it and wring it sailor" while checking for VD.  Or they could have him specialize in cardiology and then make him work as a proctologist, that is the military way.

Once the car starts rolling it only stops for gas, cheesy fries, freakishly oversized roadside attractions, and number 2. While dropping the cosby kids off in the middle of a run is acceptable, dropping the cosby kids off in the middle of a road trip unless done out a rear window is entirely inexcusable.
I am a huge fan of stopping only for gas. Back in the college days I used to hold it for 4+ hours.  :D :-[

I still don't understand how the runners can't... eh, who cares.

Funny how trips increase in duration when the ladyfriend comes with to ride shotgun...

That may be true, but it's never my fault. I'm usually like... are you serious? We're stopping? ???

4+ hours was holding it after the point that I had to go badly enough that I wanted to stop. As in, 12pm, hmm, I really need to go to the bathroom. 4pm, huh, I still haven't stopped yet, it's been that long? With eating it's even worse...who stops to eat?  :D On one of my trips from DC to Chicago, I made it 8 hours without stopping, and then it was a 5 min gas stop. How many of you have made a 12 hour trip stopping only once?  :P

A guy once told me that there is this town called Dwight or something like that half way between IWU and Wheaton that "people always stop at." Dwight (or whatever the town is actually called) is only an hour from either school. I was like, are you serious? How lame is that? DHF suspects that has a lot to do with the male urge to stuff their faces every hour on the hour.  :D

Nah, Dwight probably just has cheap beer, a good strip club, or cheap beer sold at a good strip club.
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Even JT's  fiancee must stop evey 4 hours on avg... not that JT's timing the stops. JT has been able to last until the next fillup most of the time.

RE: More BS

700 miles in 8 hours?.......1 stop?....how much traffic?

87mph from Chitown to DC w/o a ticket?

Say you made it through Chitown without much traffic...there is nowhere in DC you can do 90......IT IS A SCIENTIFIC FACT!!!

Where does it say I made the trip in only 8 hours? It clearly says it was more like 12, with one stop after 8 hours. I stopped at the first stop in Indiana. If you leave at the right time, you can avoid traffic right up until all that dumb perpetual construction around Gary.

I've never got a ticket going home or school... who speeds to get to places like that? I did make an 8.5 hours trip to a rodeo in under 6 though. You do that by going 120-135 where there's no traffic, and 80s until you get around the traffic. No tickets. 8) The only tickets I've gotten were on the way to d3 sporting events. :D

I love that you guys actually calculated it though.... at least your math skills are better than your reading skills.  :P

What kind of car are you driving if you are going 120 miles an hour? Whatever it is, I like it.
