I'll try to get off the gas subject, although i'm farting up a storm this morning...

How do you terds like your Opie and Anthony clowns now?  Now you get to pay to hear them on XM with a few swear words, and ANYONE can listen to them on regular (not regulator) radio for free with a couple bleeps.  I think XM has officially thrown in the towel.

Off to da beach!!!

I have heard this stuff is expensive to extract. But good news is that demand for gas was down .3% year-over-year, whereas usually it goes up about 1.5%.

So where does the law of supply and demand come into play?  Unless the world oil supply has decreased by more than .3%, you'd think the price wouldn't increase by nearly 50% like it has in the last month or so....

It's not just about availability Admit, it's about who and what controls the availability.

Countries and companies have product  in control or purchased in the futures market, and they decide what price they are going to sell it for in today's cash market.

So yes, some of it has to do with overall supply. Much of it has to do with what is available to purchase and at what price.

With today's political climate, ie: Iran and Nigeria et al, if you held control of product would you think it more valuable today or next month?

Just like gold people trade on that decision everyday, and right now those people are betting on next month or beyond, because with world events the overall supplies could get disrupted for a period of time.

It is supply and demand in a global example.

WTFF's parents were in Florida for the week and are driving back today and have decided to stop in at La Casa de LD11.  Lots of cleaning has to be done.  LD11 is nervous that he might get cornered and interrogated.  I'm going to be upstairs cleaning out the interrogation room and getting the rubber bands, wire cutters, leather straps, hot coffee, and bug spray handy.

WTFF's pops is about 6'6" and is a giant.  Yet, it's the mom of WTFF LD11 is worried about.  She interrogates like Jack Bauer.

Lemme guess- she's about 5 foot nothing and 95 lbs....  Admit thinks he knows her sister-  Admit once dated a little hottie who's mom scared the hell out of admit but could barely reach to do damage to his kneecaps

3.  KR was very very very bored during a psychology lecture the other day and made some calculations (you RPI math nerds should be proud)
A person who buys a new Prius Hybrid over similar car spends roughly $7k-8k more for their Prius. Assuming this person gets 60 MPG (definite overestimate) and the other car gets 30 and assuming this person drives 15k miles a year at $3.00 a gallon, it would take 10-11 years to make up the cost differential

Mrs. Garnet drives a 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee 110,000 plus miles.

Garnet drives a 1993 Toyota Corolla 210,000 plus miles.

The Toyota will be replaced sometime this summer.

They are at a minimum 10x better than Howard.  Trust JT, Howard sucks now.  The young Howard would hate what the old Howard has become.

JT's gonna wait and see how it works out, but it should be fine if not better.  Anyway JT off on vacation with his tiny MP3/XM portable receiver.  LD how's that Sirius portable work.... doesn't it have a hand crank or something  ;)

Now there is some real information.  Opie and Anthony are 'at a minimum' 10X better than Howard.  How can you make such an assumption?  I happen to enjoy Howard, and his 2 channels in general.  I enjoy the Sirius music stations, I enjoy the entertainemtn stations, and NFL stations, and Sirius seems to be doing something right.

And the answer is yes, the Sirius portable has a hand crank.  huh?

The Red Sox are a minimum 10X better than the Yankees.  A minumum.  The old Steinbrenner would totally hate what the new Steinbrenner has become.  It's science.

THIS sure beats ice fishing.  Wonder what the limit is.

If demand continues to fall our prices will eventually slide back, I believe. That's what I got out of a piece in USA Today the other day.

Good God!  I know i'm an RPI alum and fan, but Jesus H!!!

That schedule could be the worst that I can remember.  I terrible RPI team could go 7-2 this year.  That makes me angry.  Becker???  Unbelievable.

The kids on the team and the alumni can only push the credibility of the team so far!!!  The Athletic Department's problem is they don't care about football or the Football Teams national recognition and they just want to fill the schedule.  That makes me sick.

This is why, year after year, RPI gets no recognition until they make the tournament.

And it causes the Guru to question not only how good RPI really is but how good the LL is. Ol' Joe has never been afraid to schedule a few patsies!

Too bad 'Ol Joe' doesn't make the schedule.  He just prepares the team for who's on it.
