LD1- You are right man....where the F did they even find those teams......I bet they googled "Teams that suck in D3FB" and came up with that list.

Isn't Becker a female flag football team?....what about Endicott...Utica....KP....and SLU!!!.....This schedule is straight gansta!!!

Reno......thanks for coming back around to share that with us.  It really made me laugh :) :P ::) ??? 8) :o :( :-\ :'( Insert sarcastic smiley here)

And it causes the Guru to question not only how good RPI really is but how good the LL is. Ol' Joe has never been afraid to schedule a few patsies!
"They're good but they're not that good......"
-Joe King following Union's 49-42 victory over RPI in the 2005 Shoes Game

And Union proved in the playoffs that they were good, but not that good.  i don't see what was so bad about that statement.  It's true.  He didn't say they sucked.  He said they were good.  But not THAT good.  Period.  Cry some more.  There's nothing wrong with that statement.

Garnet

Did Garnet miss something along the way?   Is it now not in the best interest of the LL teams to have a ten game schedule?   Since CGA left the conference, none of the teams have filled in a tenth game.  At least according to the schedules Pat just posted.

Will this not come back to haunt a 'bubble' team come playoff selection time?

LD-
RE PLAYOFFS

How can RPI even think that they arte going to make the playoffs with a schedule like that?  I mean if they lose one game, Reg as an RPI fan won't have a leg to stand on bc of the WEAK teams they are going against.

I just don't get it....maybe they wanted less people to show up for games than ever before (an average RPI game has about 200 fans, and 3/4 of those are parents, Gf's and security guards)

I won't be making the Endicott/ RPI game this year...I would rather clean the blinds around my house with a Q-tip

lewdogg11

Reg, I'm with you man.  It's disgraceful.  And it is true that it does hurt the LL's strength as well, no matter what.  RPI has to beat Union and Hobart, and hope they are good and beat the decent teams on their schedule.  Nothing like making your own bed.

Regulator

Beating Hobart and Union is going to be very difficult indeed.

I remember the feel one year when we were like 4-0, walking around campus like we were rock stars.....thinking we were the ISH at parties and then we got stomped on the next week because the first 4 games were "gimmies"

If they can make it past the first few games, with them being blowouts....I see them doing well.  I swear, if they lose to Utica....I for one will be ______.(I dont even know what to say about this one)

Good God!  I know i'm an RPI alum and fan, but Jesus H!!!

That schedule could be the worst that I can remember.  I terrible RPI team could go 7-2 this year.  That makes me angry.  Becker???  Unbelievable.

The kids on the team and the alumni can only push the credibility of the team so far!!!  The Athletic Department's problem is they don't care about football or the Football Teams national recognition and they just want to fill the schedule.  That makes me sick.

This is why, year after year, RPI gets no recognition until they make the tournament.

I know that you RPI boys will be looking straight at the game against Hobart in Week 3, but don't sleep on the UC Pioneers in Week 2.... for the record, we do have a victory over the big bad engineers.

Noone is looking past the Pioneers.  In fact I do remember that loss and it makes me want to puke.

As a member of the program from (almost) Day 1 (I wasn't there yet in 1999 when the idea of a varsity team was thrown around), that day when we beat RPI 9-7 was probably the best I've seen so far in the program. The only thing that will top it would be a win over Ithaca or Fisher, unfortunately, I don't see that happening yet.

Pat Coleman

Before any of the already-irate RPI fans points this out, it was 9-7, not 16-7.

Maybe Fisher is your rival or something like that...but they were always a joke when we played them....tough hitters, but couldnt ever win.

Too bad they had facilities that made RPI look like a Class D high school program.  86 Field...86 Smield......woo woo.

Pat,
We wouldnt be irate over BC bringing it up.....that was the "black sheep" game of RPI history

I wrote an entire post, and it either got removed or it didn't stick for some reason.

I was trying to let bud know that we as fans can overlook the Utica's of the World because we EXPECT RPI to win those games.  If they don't, they aren't going to be very good anyway.  The games that get RPI any recognition are Hobart and Union.

And this isn't being disrespectful to the Utica program at all.  They are coming along, and maybe someday will get there, but right now, beating Utica isn't going to raise any eyebrows.  Beating Hobart and Union hardly does that.  We expect RPI to win those other 7 games, and expect a dogfight in the other 2.  That is how it has been for years and will continue that way until soemone else in upstate does something.  Fisher now has a reputation, because they made a little noise.  It takes time, but it can be done.

So no offense, but we expect to win against Utica and SLU and friggin Endicrotch.

Now there is some real information.  Opie and Anthony are 'at a minimum' 10X better than Howard.  How can you make such an assumption?  I happen to enjoy Howard, and his 2 channels in general.  I enjoy the Sirius music stations, I enjoy the entertainemtn stations, and NFL stations, and Sirius seems to be doing something right.

And the answer is yes, the Sirius portable has a hand crank.  huh?

The Red Sox are a minimum 10X better than the Yankees.  A minumum.  The old Steinbrenner would totally hate what the new Steinbrenner has become.  It's science.

No smite from JT.  We can agree to disagree.  Just don't give JT the Steinbrenner of the mid-80's and early 90's.

JT remembers when Howard had game.  Is he still better then the average morning show... sure.  JT feels that Howard stopped doing cutting edge stuff shortly after Private Parts. He's also afraid of O&A, which is why he used to have O&A censored when they both worked for the same company.

When JT first heard O&A he didn't think much of them, but JT kept tuning in during the afternoon back in 1998.  When LD heard O&A back in Boston, it was the first time they had a full time gig together.  They've evolved.

RE: Portables

XM has by far the better equipment.  Both companies are still in the red... so we'll  see.  Both have similar content.  One will eventually absorb the other down the road.
