I just don't know where you get the better equipment, better this, better that.  Sirius has great equipment.  Whatever.  Who cares.  It's what you enjoy.  I just think it's hilarious that Opie and Anthony are going back to where they were fired.  I loved them in Boston, I won't lie.  But Howard talks current events, and stuff like that, rather than smut all day long.  You can only take so much of that.  I'm gettin gold I suppose.  Bubba's show in the afternoon is pretty filthy, so if I am in need of that, I can always tune in to him.

"Fired" with full pay... JT wishes he could get paid a couple of mil to travel and play golf.

Radio is full of scumbags... enemies yesterday, associates today.  People on the Howard side of the O&A battle are now working with O&A at XM.  They never would have gotten fired if CBS thought Howard was going to leave.

O&A are very topical, it not just shock.

Before any of the already-irate RPI fans points this out, it was 9-7, not 16-7.

I edited my response only a couple minutes after I made the error.

JT-

I am going to +1k you even though I agree with nothing you say.  When I listen to Howard talk about everyone stealing his stuff...I'm like What the hell are you talking about...it is the same stuff that everyone has been doing FOREVER....just rinse and repeat.

One of the funniest gigs I have heard Stern do was the Mexican delivery guy game...  He probably got that from Andy Milanockas (MTV) or some shiz...

I wrote an entire post, and it either got removed or it didn't stick for some reason.

I was trying to let bud know that we as fans can overlook the Utica's of the World because we EXPECT RPI to win those games.  If they don't, they aren't going to be very good anyway.  The games that get RPI any recognition are Hobart and Union.

And this isn't being disrespectful to the Utica program at all.  They are coming along, and maybe someday will get there, but right now, beating Utica isn't going to raise any eyebrows.  Beating Hobart and Union hardly does that.  We expect RPI to win those other 7 games, and expect a dogfight in the other 2.  That is how it has been for years and will continue that way until soemone else in upstate does something.  Fisher now has a reputation, because they made a little noise.  It takes time, but it can be done.

So no offense, but we expect to win against Utica and SLU and friggin Endicrotch.

My apologies for the length of this post, but...

LD11... I agree with everything you say... the point I was bringing up is that Utica has had a lot of improvements in its very short history... and that that game was one of the highest points for the school, the athletic program, and the football program in the six years the football team has been playing. We were a big fat joke on campus because, frankly, we sucked ass. Not that we didn't try...guys were always out there busting their asses for 60 minutes... leaving everything on the field, to use an old cliche. A lot of people thought that the team should have been eliminated because we weren't very competitive, but thankfully Todd Hutton, the president of Utica and James Spartano, the AD, were willing to see the program try to get a foothold in a pretty difficult conference. This last year going 6-4, despite "competition" against Becker, Mount Ida, etc., has also done a lot to show that the football team isn't a joke.
I wasn't really trying to piss off RPI fans, I was trying to say that the win was probably one of the top 5 moments in our short history.

lewdogg11

BC, I dont think you pissed anyone off.  And I don't think a program should be folded because they struggle out of the gate.  Everyone has to deal with growing pains.  And i'm sure, eventually, Utica will have a decent program.  RPI was terrible for like 80 years before they actually made progress.  Thats the way it goes.

And it was no offense to the Utica program either when I say, RPI is expected to win these games.  That's what happens when you're successful year in and year out.  Could SLU, Utica, Endicott, Rochester, WPI or any of those knock off RPI, or anyone else for that matter?  Of course.  But where we expect RPI to win those games, those teams strive to win those games and make a name for themselves.  SJF was garbage for as long as I can remember, and now, they expect the same thing as we do for their team.  I just don't know how they got 'Over-rated' so quickly.  2 decent years is all you need when you play in Ithaca's conference I guess.

RPI would probably have similar recognition if their Administration didn't schedule the Sally's of the East year in and year out.  It's like starting at block 1 every single year for us.

'Gro just got back from the 'Gro-tel in ATL... takes a look at RPI's schedule and reaches for the sky in an attempt to touch the 'Grozone layer. I mean...

ARE YOU F***ING KIDDING ME??

I'm not even mad about Utica and Endicott, maybe we are still tied into deals with them. Not going to speculate there. But Becker? Horseshizzle.  It doesn't matter if we called them or they called us... the Athletic department needs to end this crap.

And can the LL teams get a 10th game? More on this later.

'gro

Later is here... 10th game.

2006 Schedule
4 HOME: Union, Hobart, Becker, WPI
5 AWAY: SLU, Rochester, Kings Point, Utica, Endicott

Why not add a 5th home game? Keep the same (sh*tty) schedule and next year they would have 4 away games one of them being down the skreet to Union. Is one more game... an away game in odd years... really going to break the bank?

You only get to play for so long. In 2001 they cancelld the RPI-Coast Guard game (side note, weekend after 9/11, but most teams did not cancel (including union vs. WPI) and the games were played as a tribute to that day) and I will never get that game back. Add a 10th game already. These kids deserve it.

Gro-   We (RPI) have one of the most intelligent presidents in the nation (if we are talking salaries).

How on EARTH did we get suckered into this schedule especially when that kat came into OUR huddle before we faced Rowan her first year there and tells us that "Noone ever asked if I was a Football fan....Well I AM A FOOTBALL FAN".....BS

If you are a FB fan, Ms. Jackson....then why would you allow these cats working under you to schedule this MISERABLE piece of work.  Don't you want to see competition and take the program to the next level?

I may be way out of line....but I am pretty sure that she wouldn't have let LD11 & I into her heated clear tent back when RPI faced Ithaca and I had 3rd degree frostbite on my fingers and toes........Her butler would have probably responded "VIPs only" and I would have sucker punched him and broke off 3 limbs.

REG,

Was that you that TDT spotted in the crowd at the Miss USA pageant in Baltimore last night cheering voraciously holding up the sign that said "Boobs are cool"?  Please confirm or deny your attendance for the LLPP Inc. organization.  Miss Kentucky was a good choice but TDT woulda preferred that hot little number from FLA.

No way TDT.....Reg was kicked out way before that point for telling Ms. West Virginia to "DROP IT LIKE IT'S HOT!!!!" during her swimsuit shot.  If you listen closely, you can hear it in the background....followed by me screaming "Get off me" to the bounce that was 6'6" 350 pounds give or take 200 pounds.

Reg- +k for that link- that will go down as a classic!

As for your prezz's clear tent, y'all gotta move out of the stone age.  Good ol SJU has the prez in a suite atop the pressbox with catered meals and (allegedly) cocktails to go with.
My grandmother is over eighty and still doesn't need glasses. Drinks right out of the bottle.  (Yasmine Bleeth comment valid unless prohibited by your College's code of ethics for Alums)

Yeah but does your 'prez' have secret service in his/her tent?  I didn't think so.
