So RT.....outside Union, who has any offensive firepower in the LL????  At first Union89 thought that chucklehead was kidding....If you are that ignorant to the topic, don't embarrass yourself and stoop to ask Union89....ask a colored hat wearing guy.

Good Times.....Good Times.....

Union89,

Well...we got what we wanted, a matchup between the two top teams from the E-8 and LL, I can't wait for the outcome, but personally i don't think anyone has an offense in the LL like Fisher and Ithaca do...both are very potent and explosive, and i know that your offense is just the same with your WR's and RB. Our game is going to be all offense, and whatever defense can step up at the opportune time will sneak out with the win. All i can say is this is going to be a wild affair saturday, and let the best league end this whole dispute...the E-8.

Yeah Bombers!!
RT was on the fence about going to this game but now he's forced to. "No one in LL has the offense of Fisher or IC"...yea, ok. What's next?, you going to try to tell RT that no one else outside New Edition could score a hit besides Bobby Brown?....give RT a break.

.....PREDICTION........PREDICTION......[/b]

RT feeling a few things:

1) Jay Bernardo will outplay Mark "Here's to you Mrs." Robinson.....and no, Jesus doesn't love him more than he will know...whoa whoa whoa
2) Jimmy Roberts will outplay whoever Fisher plugs in at QB.
3) Jon Branche will be a factor this Sat
4) RPI's defense will bounce back from the Union game and give SJF fits

RPI - 35
SJF - 20

The "early RT Monday stat tracker for this Sat" (subject to tweaking)
Jimmy Robertson 25-33  369YDs 3TDs, 0-INT  1 fumble
Jay Bernardo     24-138  2TD
Jon Branche      8 catches 111YDs 2 TDs
McGowan          5  catches  70YDs  1 TD

LL guys, what's your take on the IC/Unitttttty game? It seems like a lot of outsiders have this one tabbed as a likely "upset"(as defined by the seeds) in the Schenecanaca. In my biased opinion if IC puts together four quarters, they should win comfortably. Keep in mind, Ithaca hasn't played a full game yet so I don't have the faintest idea why I think they're going to start now. I think the Cortaca loss gets their mind right. My early prediction:

Bombers  37
Dutchboys 31

So long as I make it out of that city alive, the weekend will be a success. Made it through the blizzard(barely) of Troy a few years back, but then I didn't have to avoid needle-bearing crackwhores like I will this weekend. I love that town!
A 2004 graduate of the "almighty legendary" Ithaca College. Goooooo Bombers.

Here's my take...Go back to the old posts from 1999 prior to the ECAC matchup.  Read the stupidity that was coming from the message board back then.  Double it, since the NCAAs have more on the line than an ECAC game.  Remember what the end result was.  Then remind yourself that Union was probably not as "put together" as it is in 2005.  Then remember the silence that came across this board for two or three years until everyone forgot that Union played Ithaca and beat them squarely.

bomber27

And then toss out anything you just said because it is the playoffs and honestly, anything goes.  I know you beat us like 5 years ago and I commend you for that but anything can happen in the playoffs.  Im not saying its a blow out either way just saying its gonna be a game and not as easy as you think it will be.  I look forward to listening to it and I would be there is I could get off of work

Frank Rossi drinks 150 proof smack my ass and call me sally hot sauce by the gallon...The man is nuts.

GoBombers,

We love that a fan of your calliber has given us an easy oppertunity to rip apart ithIcock, but let's be honest. All that matters is that union and your boyz square off Saturday. ithIcock will not play a complete game and not because they don't because they can't. Like all football teams: you have injuries, it has been a 10 game season, and you are playing the best team (record-wise) you have played all year in a big-time setting...AWAY FROM HOME (granted you will have more fans since we start winter break)

good luck, it should be a good fight.

RT, U89 sorry for the lack of humor from NNR this week... he is tied up to the max with gangsta's tryin to pass his class and hoping that the d3 gods don't catch a prank

FU,
ones w/ 1450+ SAT's??..maybe...not many.  We can have a "over 1450 SAT redtackle azz-kicking tryout" at next year's Union game ....after the 5-6 people in the stadium are disposed of, you can have an at-large exemption to participate. However, let RT revise the scope of his post that inspired this.

RT, technically, was an "honor's dork" in HS....however, he isn't on this board spitting out high school GPA's and SATs..RT thinks that's gay.

[I don't have much else to say this week, except to remind Union fans on here to let Ithaca do their OWN scouting and research instead of feeding them information on the team.  Support your team by showing them your passion for them.  At this point, our own team analysis here does nothing but tip our hat to the opponents who know little about our strengths in the playoffs.  I know the players and coaches read these board, so use discretion, post as much as you can words of encouragement and remember that everything from here, from a fan's point of view, at least, should be considered gravy for a tremendous season.

Take my Karma down as low as you want.  I really don't give a shyt.

Frank

..ok Frank, first, RT doesn't give out negative Karma for posts that you obviously put so much passion into.

Secondly, RT would be very surprised if you ever played FB at the collegiate level because if you think coaches/players get anything tactical from this board besides some material for the locker room hype, you're crazy.  RT laughed out loud at home just now, thinking of the scene at practice at IC this week

coach: "ok guys...we've watched the films, spoken to other coaches, done our homework. We've got a decent gameplan...HOWEVER, we just got this beauty from U89 today off post patterns and we think that we may have found a tendancy in how they use Arcidiacno"

come on Frank...have the microwaves from the headphones in the booth gone to your brain? Have you ever sat through a week of film breakdown, game planning, practice, and all the other things that go into preparing for an opponent?? You are obviously a passionate supporter of Union football but you strike RT as a media type who never put the jersey on in college. Not that it's a prerequisite...our own Guru didn't play either...however, you don't see Pat alluding to any significance that these posts may carry in a team's prep for the game.

Frank....RT will take your lack of response to RT's question as a "yes"

Naked Nott Run

RT,
as gay as it was... NNR had to defend a previous misinterpretted post by an ithIcock fan... forgive NNR but the intensions were only to preach the word of the LL... haha

RT, no need to respond to a personal attack, but if it's going to keep you up at night...

I didn't play football.  I'm in the best shape of my life at age 29, so when I was younger, I was in no position to play (especially since my high school had no football).  My resume, however, includes running a fan site for six seasons and doing the radio for 11 seasons.  When running the fan site, it's odd to see the domains of the visitors on any given week.  Usually, it matches the school we're going to face.  I'm sure they're not interested in learning about the program in order to transfer.  Everyone looks for an edge.  I'm asking Union fans not to even accidentally fall into that trap since we keep seeing these random, "So what does Union bring to the table" questions on here.

One thing I think you underestimate is that while some people haven't been in your exact position in life, they might be able to study and listen sufficiently to understand at least the bare minimum aspects of that position...in this case, being a football player.  Does it mean I can correctly play a position in a 4-3 defense?  No.  Does it mean I know what a 4-3 defense is and where it is useful?  Yes.  Don't put people down just because they might not have your exact skill set.  We all have a passion for football.  Otherwise, we would not be on a Division 3 football site.  This especially goes for people on here who have no child playing and who are not related to players and/or coaching staffs.

So, if you're done insulting my intelligence, I'm going to go take my first deposition of my career.

Frank the Tank on the rampage... Gro noticed a comment about 2 INTs keeping RPI in the game. For the sake of argument lets give credit/blame to both sides. Someone has to throw the pick and someone has to catch it. Every time the U makes a mistake someone like Frank gets on the posts and says... "Well we would of killed you but we gave you these freebies". That's the union mentality that Gro can't stand.
