Does someone on this board really play cribbage?
Absolutely.

Do you also write your friends checks for $12 on their birthday?
Only if it's their 12th birthday.

5 o'clock..it's about time..better not rain..Grad needs to cut some of his lawn tonight!!!

+k, -k(TDT) to all for a good day of posting..have a good weekend!!

TDT, look anyplace where pipes or wires come into your condo.  Mice can fit through a hole or crack much smaller then they are.  KS uses Papa KS way to plug the mouse holes.  Stuff the holes with steel wool and then take a aluminum roasting or pie pan and cut a piece that will cover the hole and nail or screw it over the hole and then a little caulk around the edges.  Usually keeps the little bastards out.  Then you can have fun killing them.

Kilted Rat

Fins,
I've seen similar types of apparatus to yours used to catch mice and they seem to work well.

KR's dad had problems with mice in the basement back when KR was a little young sh*t. Damn mice would eat into the boat cushions while they were stored in the basement during the winter (the boat's storage location had even more mice).

Papa KR's (PKR) solution was buying mice traps in bulk and forming a virtual fence surrounding the cushions with two rows deep of mice traps "in case the mice could jump." The traps were set in October.

As occurs with many things stored in basements, the traps were forgotten for many months until April when it was time to bring the boat and the boat accessories out of storage. It was a nice warm day, so PKR had been wearing sandal's outside but had stepped in dog poo, so the sandals were left outside the door on PKR's first trip down into the poorly lit basement to get the cushions.

As expected, l PKR's right big toe found a trap and young KR learned several new colorful uses for the F-word.

Additionally, there were multiple (6-10) mice in various stages of decay which smelled like the south end of a northbound TDT.

Moral of the story: Traps work great, but for Christ's sake remember where you set them.
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

A MUST TRY FOR THE LLPP:

Reg got thinking about his education.....saying to himself "man, I wonder what my teachers are doing now...they must be old"

Well that leads me to my high school website, where my principal, and superintendant are still in the same positions....Now granted...most of my high school teachers are no longer working for the HS....they must have moved on to different things or are all retired.

Reg started to think "hey what about middle school"  sure as ish, 7th grade.....8th grade...and the school nurse....WTF!!!

Now on to Elementary school...."hey what about Mr. Mic?"....he was our principal....who was like 50 when I was there.....what the hell...he is still principal....let's see who else.
Mrs. White- K
Mrs. Steele- 1st
Mr. Cummings- 4th
Mr Boyd- 6th
Mr Dorman- Keyboards
Mr Knapp- PE
Mrs. Lindsay- Nurse
Mr. Duchene- Custodian.....This F'ing cat is still the custodian???? this cat must be on his 3rd retirement by now...Sh!t this cat probably makes more than the teachers by now!!!!

Yeah and isn't his d3 username naked nott run?   Hmmm

JT,
Question for you....
Reg was watching some of the Rowan Highlight videos on your website.  Why is the 2004 recruiting video in slow motion?.....I mean everything moves so SLOW.  I think most schools I went to had their videos at 1.2X speed.

Did you put this together?

Yes I put it together.  With full speed you kinda miss stuff.  Especially given Rowan TV's love of the wide angle shot from the booth.   So the players look like ants.  I was trying to make it better by trying a NFL films slo-mo thang to make the best of what I had.

I keep telling them close ups more close ups, its football you can pan out to the big play.   I've watched hours video over the years.  I know its a training ground, but its obvious many of the directors aren't sports people, especially the chicks.  Sometimes they switch directors at half and you'll go from somebody decent to someone who sucks.  Too many are in love with the wide shot on a two camera shoot. Sh!t any moron can shoot what amounts to game film.  Stay tight and catch the action.

Can't tell you how many times the field camera was dead on a sack, catch and run, interception, great tackle and they cut away to the wide shot just as it was getting good.  Asked the TV people to roll tape on both the wide and field camera in 2005, so I'll see what I have.  Hope to have a highlight cut by August.  Been busy with my business interests lately.

Man, I'll tell ya JT...good stuff.  I hope more RPI alum get to participate with our team the way you do (Reg included).

I hear what you are saying with the wide angle shot....now that I look at it again, it's great for what you had to work with.  Nothing against you, but if I stared at those poo brown jerseys for the whole 10 minutes, I may yack.

TIGHT SHOTS....Keep it tight ladies.

Question: When you watch 'The 40 year old Virgin' and you get to the scene where Trish and Andy are arguing because it's been 20 dates and he won't seal the deal... and Trish says "You want me to dress up like Thor? I'll dress up like Thor"

am I the only one that wants to see her in a viking helmet and no pants?

JT

Here's a quick summary of Rowan TV video 2003-2004.  Field camera is close on the huddle.  Gets a nice shot of a RB taking the handoff... about to break a nice run... good blocking up front... switch to wide shot... players look like tiny running balls of poo  (that one's for LD11).  Tackle made.... switch to field close up of the pile and doods walking back to the huddle.  JT curses at the screen.  Rinse and Repeat.

Not only do the students like the wide shot, they've usually zoomed out so far it looks like a Satellite photo.

JT's football camera work 101 would go something like this.  Field shot of the action around the football.  If the play breaks long, field camera will track the play 20-30 yards or so while the wide camera zooms in... after 20-30 yards or so switch to wide camera (players are still a decent size in the frame).  Zoom out a little after play is over. Rinse and Repeat.

JT is greatful for the content regardless, he's just hoping the video gets a little better each year.

JT likes the all mustard yellow look for uni's.

Bad Camera Work 101

'Gro had the best tackle of his entire career against Rochester... knocked their RB out cold (side story, kid lies on turf for 10min being attended to, leaves the field for a series or 2, then comes back and runs for another 60 yds... still a great hit)

Gro can't wait to watch film on Monday... we watch, and guess what, for that play and that play ONLY the camera is out of focus... WTF!!

Any UR coaches reading this want to send me a copy of the 2000 RPI/UR game?... holla.

That's the problem with student organizations -- the automatic high rate of turnover.

Radio, TV, film major at Rowan is a big deal.  GSC (Rowan) has been one of the best communications schools on the East coast for years.  TV sportscasting has a long way to go to get close talentwise to the radio team.

For TV... they do good news, feature work and specials.  The passion isn't quite there for sports coverage, many don't understand the game(s).  JT's encouraged because there were a couple of Freshman gophers for the TV team that are former HS football players.  In 2006, they might get some camera or directing duty.

One can only hope.

JT, they have always had the same problem at NJCU.  They have a very good Media Arts program but no-one ever wanted to or got enough support or permission to film the football games (when we had a team), basketball games etc.  There are two or three public access stations on Comcast here, St. Peters and some of the high schools seem to be able to do it.  Big problem at NJCU is the differnet departments don't play nice with each other.

Ithaca was always good with that stuff too.  Live radio broadcast, live tv broadcast, gridiron report TV show just for Ithaca football every week.  Sultry sophmore sideline reporters wanting to be the next Lisa Guerrero or Hazel Mae.

Speaking of Hazel Mae, Garnet should get some pics of this girl for LLPP.  Shes a local Boston reporter with features that are very easy on the eyes.  Nice posture too.
