KR- Um I think you are underestimated the wherewithal of ticket sales for the Bo Sox.  They annually have the highest ticket prices in all of baseball and have been adding seats to every nook and cranny of the place to boost revenues (See: Monster, additional roof boxes, elimination of glassed in 406 club, and tables out in RF).  This being said, corporate sponsorship and advertising are where the bucks are.  Red Sox are arguably the most marketable sports entity in all of sports.  Rest assured people want their name associated with them and they are paying dearly for it.

What the Twins and other clubs need to do is take the revenue sharing money teams like the Yankees, BoSox and Mets pay out every year and start reinvesting it in the team instead of the owners pocket.

Ok, its time for some redsox facts of life again.....

1) Matt Clement should be released immediatly.  Don't put him on the DL, dont put him in the bullpen.  Release him now.  His carrer is over and he has cost the redsox games this year and thats a fact.  (The redsox still couldnt hit last night so its not totally his fault)

2) I like Willy Mo Pena, but that trade was a bad move.  Aroyyo should be the #4 starter for the redsox right now and thats the end of it.

3)  Keithe Foulke should be sent to Pawtucket and become a starter for the rest of the season unless the Red sox are eliminated.  Then he can start up here.  This year is Foulkes last chance before he goes to the "matt clement money pit".

4)  Tavares, Alverez and Seanaz should be shot.  Thats correct, not traded, not released but shot and hung on the rafters of the Citgo Sign in Kenmore square for all future redsox relief pitcher busts to see.

5) The same lineup should be used the rest of the year...

1- 1b: Youkoulis
2- 2b: Loretta
3- Dh: Ortiz
4- LF: Ramirez
5- 3b: Lowell
6- CF: Crisp
7- RF: Nixon
8- C: Varitek
9- SS: Gonzalez

If Crisp or Lowell dont start hitting they should drop.  Im not a huge Varetek fan but I think Nixon is going to have a good year this year.


And.....Green monster seats go for $75 at the beginning of the season and if you have a few people dialing with a good redial button, you can usually get 10 or so seats during the season.  I did that a few years ago when the seats were $50 and standing room was $25.

I'm all for the Citgo Sign Gallows.  I hate those guys.

As much as I love Pedro 'Wily Mo Pena' Cerrano, Arroyo bled Boston.  He wasn't great, but he was consistent.  I neever liked that trade.

Now we just need Wells to get healthy, and for this Lester kid to become a stud ASAP.
