There was no reason for us to post in the MIAC room prior to that.  And we don't post there now.  So what's your point?

There was no reason for us to post on here about the Twins prior to this past week since they hadn't played the Sox yet.

Is this "we" the royal "we?" Because 'Gro, RT, and Holla (when he was still around... no word from him still?) have been known to post on the MIAC board a time or two.

My point is, the Twins won the series. We can wax poetic all we want about what it does and doesn't mean, but if it's all the same to you, we might as well heed Gro's advice and drop it since all it seems to be doing is p*ssing you off.

(serious question)

To enroll: No
To be there: Absolutely, we encourage it at every possible opportunity especially if they're thin, attractive and bring beer.

SJU's "sister school" is the College of St Benedict which is about 7 miles away. All classes are combined, so guys have classes at St. Ben's and girls have classes at SJU. Only the dorms are sex segregated by campus.

There are buses between the 2 campus running every 15 min. Conveniently, St Ben's is located in St Joe where all the bars are, so you can be dropped off by the bus within a block of the bar, drink til 2am and then catch the last bus back to SJU or pull an overnight, your choice.

At any given time between 9AM and midnight, there usually seem (at least it was like this when I was there) that there were more girls at SJU than St Bens.

An entire different story and drunken rant is the tendency of large quantities of Friendasauruses (Friendasauri?) to attend St Bens as well as for hottie freshman females to discover the all you can eat dinning option at SJU including ice cream and turn into Friendasauri.

The approximate ratio of St Ben's Friendasauruses to hotties in the freshman class is about 2:1, Soph 4:1, Junior 8:1, Senior 19:1.

I think we can get a good SAT question out of this one....

Ok, so theres a bus running between 2 campuses that are 7 miles apart every 15 minutes.......

So, lets say bus #1 leaves campus A at 07:00 going 30 miles an hour while bus #2 leaves campus B goin 30 miles an hour....how many buses have to leave each point to keep the schedule of each bus arriving every 15 minutes........

Answer:  There are 68 buses going from St. Johns to St. loosies.....

Kilted Rat

ahh... but the path betwixt the two is 5 miles of highway (70 MPH) and 2 miles of back country roads (as fast as the bus driver feels like going).

During the school day there are 4-8 buses running and 2-3 on the nights and weekends.

And there was nothing quite like being on the 8 AM bus and seeing the Bennies doing their walk of shame-you couldn't get them to make eye contact for a million Reef ice cream cones.

Funny how it wasn't so shameful when we made the return trip from St. Bens the next morning...much more high-fiving than you'd get outta the Bennies

Re: Walk of shame

Similar situation in Troy, NY.  RPI for all intents is an all male school (75% guys... remaining "girls" not all that... then add freshmen 15). But there is an all girls school down the hill, close to the bars.

This walk of shame was tricky. First, guys weren't allowed to stay in their dorms. A rule that was rarely enforced but always kept the girls on their toes. So you would be rushed out like it was mission impossible. Once out of the dorms you had to get back to your car which is usually parked in east bumfeck.

Now I don't know about LD or Reg or any RPI guys reading this... but I always felt that during the walk of shame a group of man hating girls would jump out of the bushes and beat 'Gro down with field hockey sticks. That's the vibe 'Gro got.
