Bunch of RPI kids talking about all the bad things about the school: No women, Profs don't speak english... most of which are true, except one kid says he doesn't care about division III sports and I'd like to give him a D3 kick in the junk.

The funny thing about this video is that all these guys are complete tools. They are complaining about the lack of women when they probably couldn't even graze a boob at Florida State.

Yea, I dont get it.  Why would you even make that video in the first place?  You suck if you stay at a school that you dont like.  The funny think is, I worked over at MIT for a bit, and there were some decent looking girls there believe it or not........

Seriously, could there be a worse cellphone company still in business?  EVERYTIME I call someone with Nextel I want to flip out.....you can't EVER have a clear conversation....the cell phone holds onto a signal even though it sounds like complete gibberish and their phones never ring while I have to listen to the message above.

Oh but that "bleep bleep" is what keeps people coming back for more.  Like I need to hear your entire 2-way conversation from the back of the phone which is basically a megaphone.

Now I know some people are going to write back "Oh Nextel has great service around _____" ...No, they don't....you may get lucky when your house is 1/2 mile away from a tower...and it may sounds good to you, but in 50% of my conversations with Nextel people, I just end up dropping the call bc I get so tired of trying to interpret the conversation. 

Does anyone here ever run in to this?

nextel phones. hate em. hate that beep. hate people who need to have 10min conversation in beep mode. hate the speakerphone. hate the service. hate sprint for buying nextel. hate little kids asking their mom to pick up ice cream, then the mom saying they don't need ice cream, then the kids saying "come onnnnnn mommmmm", then the mom saying "no", then the kid saying "puleeeeeez", then the mom saying "fine!"

Interesting....USA Today Sports Weekly's Top 25 snubbed the Empire 8 altogether. IC #15 in two other polls but not in the Top 25 for USA Today? Looks like USA Today pollsters have some Liberty League grads among them...Union, Hobart AND RPI in Top 25?

AUPB - It's ok. You can post this here. We won't bite.  Basically Union and Hobart are 2nd round playoff teams, and RPI's only losses came to those teams AND they have their skill players back on offense.

Why IC is not there I don't know.

Probably not in there because they lost their stud QB, top 3 WR's and return a shaky defense that lost three very good LB's. This is the year where all their toughest games are on the road, too:

If they lose two of those games, they're a bubble team, at best. The Fisher/B'port games are back-to-back, as well. If you just look at the name "Ithaca," then I agree that they should be in the top 25. But given the mentioned situations, they're not one of the best 25 teams in the nation unless this Juvan kid is an unbelievable player (and by all accounts he just might be). Whether IC makes the playoffs comes down to if they can beat Fisher, at Fisher on September 23rd. I hate that this game is so early each year and I hope the AD's start scheduling it later in the year for future seasons.

All due respect to Alfred, until they get over the hump against Ithaca, I can't mention them as conference favorites. Despite my newfound respect for the LL teams, I am a bit surprised they put three in the top 25. I understand the arguments for why all three deserve it, but I was just a little shocked that all three were in one poll. Congrats, though.

KR's mom has a Nextel phone for work with unlimited minutes and free long distance. This has lead to KR getting random phone calls from mom at all hours of the day, including 7AM because she sometimes forgets the time zone difference.

She's gotten better over the years, but when she first got this (KR's senior year), she would call at least once a day often before 9AM even on Saturdays. Problem being KR didn't have a cell phone back then (it was 2003-04, I was the last person on earth under 70 yrs old not to) so she would call the land line to KR's dorm room. It got so bad that KR started unplugging his room phone when KR went to bed following nights of heavy drinking so as to obtain un-interrupted sleep.

Reg is dead on with the annoyance of the breaking up calls. Mama Kr thinks she gets great service because her phone shows X bars, but 50% of the time its while she's driving and every other syllable is missing from the transmission. KR has had dreams where he killed the lady who asks KR to "Please hold while the Nextel subscriber is located, in the meantime don't forget to tell them to get a real fricking cell phone company who actually has service areas outside of large cities."


Other cell phone annoyance as pointed out by Gro: Speakerphone. KR's mom will call KR on her cell phone because of the unlimited minutes and free long distance thing, then she will say; "Hold on, let me put you on speakerphone so dad can talk too." Then KR spends the rest of the conversation trying to make sense of and hear what Mama KR is saying. Just like at home Papa KR never gets a word in (TDT will know this is true) until the end when he says bye right before Mama KR hangs up. Thanks Mama KR for making me suffer through the annoyance of speakerphone for your 20 minute rambling just so dad could say bye.
