Royal

You've got Brockport, St. John Fisher, and U Rochester right there...  Hobart, Ithaca, Cortland within 2 hours.

Cortaca Jug (Ithaca/Cortland) and Dutchman's Shoes (RPI/Union) both on 11/11.
Royal:
If you're in Rochester, ALFRED is a hop (on 390 South), a skip (down 36 South) and a jump (on I-86 West) away....Alfred (in the picturesque foothills of the Allegheny Mountains) was 9-2 in '05 and opens with Thiel (11-1 in '05) at 1 p.m. Sept. 9. If the Saxons have as good a start as '05, they finish '06 with three straight home games with playoff implications with Hobart (9-2 and NCAAs in '05) Oct. 28, Ithaca (8-3 and NCAAs in '05) Nov. 4, and Fisher (8-3 and ECACs in '05) Nov. 11. Kickoff is 1 p.m. Admission is $5 but the pep band is well worth the price of admission!
On Saxon Warriors! On to Victory!
...Fight, fight for Alfred, A-L-F, R-E-D!

MR,

You can always make the drive over to the dome and catch a Syracuse game.  They're D III now aren't they?

Or there's always the University of Buffalo. The Bulls once played D III (AU leads the series, 26-19-2) until they went to the greener pastures of DI where, well, let's be honest, they haven't found anything to eat since they got there.

GEICO handles all gro's roadside bidness... only downside is that if you need a tow they will only bring it to the closest (insert your car) dealership.

Rant #1

Dear Chik-Fil-A  restaurant.

First, I want to express my gratitute for your delicious chicken sandwiches and waffle fries. They are simple, yet very tasty. I am writing to complain about your service. You have 2 main items on your menu, chicken sandwich or chicken nuggets. Why does it take 5min to get my food? It's not just me, there were 5-6 of us waiting. Don't you think that around... well LUNCHTIME, you should make some extra sandwiches and fries for the masses of people that enter your establisment or drivethrough? That's just a suggestion.

Rant #2

Dear cool guy on the motorcycle,
If you ever pass me (and 10 others) by driving down the white centerline I will make you pay. If only I had seen you coming a little sooner I would of opened up my door and let you pull a superman over the handlebars. Seriously, how much time did you save on your way to walgreens to pick up a case of mountain dew and 7 packs of pop rocks? You've been warned.

+k for Gro's rant number 2... hilarious, had me laughing out loud at work

stimulator

Let the RPI '06 season begin.. workouts and testing started this afternoon.
Doubles to follow.. Good luck to the team and coaching staff.

However as I was watching just a bit of the timing and agility drills I was remembering many.. way too many..years ago and first practices.  Looked like a helluva lot of fun out there..

However Toby Keith's country song just jumped into my head as if it was placed there by divine intervention (or my wife)

I ain't as good as I once was

I used to be hell on wheels
Back when I was a younger man
Now my body says, "You can't do this boy"
But my pride says, "Oh yes you can"

Must explain the torn hamstring while playing softball.

I just tested myself for fun.  Instead of the 40 yd dash, 12-minute run, bench, and squat, I drank a 40, pooped for 12 minutes, ate some gummy bears, and watched WTFF blow dry her hair with no shirt on.  I would say I passed this year.

I squatted over the toilet today... does that count?

anyone catch underrated TV hottie Rachel Ray in chattanooga last night? or was it just me... it's cool I dvr'd it.  There's one drawback to this whole $40 a day show... no alcohol. I'd like to see RR up to ante to $100 and get 3 meals and totally sauced and dance on tables... maybe bring a female friend and every show ends with them making out.

Regulator

Gro,
I am a huge RR fan (she's from Smallbany, I think I grinded with her at the big house one time).....anywhooo....I am disappointed on three accounts-

#1- Why did we get to see any cool stuff around Chat-town over HR2k6?
#2- She didn't try the delicious wings at hooters
#3- They didn't show anything IN the city itself....what's up with that!

'gro

#1) I didn't know you were into that stuff homie. next time the PHR rolls into chattanooga we'll go to lookout mountain and ruby falls (the 2 places she saw in the show). It's more of a family spot, or where you take your girlfriend when you are 16 but if the haters want it it's all good. I haven't been to either one yet.

#2) a travesty... maybe she heard about the bad service and how she'd be hotter then every waitress there.

#3) 2 of the places she ate were literaly 2 blocks away from GGF's apartment.  Gro has won many a free coffee with his trivia skills.

Knightstalker

So KS is leaving the Stalkerettes Pre-school after dropper her off.  As KS goes out the door he notices a very large JC sister who is as big as KS.  KS is 6'2" and about 300 right now.  This sister had the purple, gold and blue weaves in her hair and was wearing skin tight almost see through white pants.  KS will be having nightmares for weeks about the scary CT showing in above white pants.  KS needs the help of LLPP Inc in getting this vision out of his head.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Rachel Ray.

"In the end we will survive rather than perish not because we accumulate comfort and luxury but because we accumulate wisdom"  Colonel Jack Jacobs US Army (Ret).

PBR...

'gro, pbr drove thru the 'nooga on the way to nola a couple years back(before the 'canes flooded and flattened everything down there) but 'nooga looked like a ok place to live... and one thing pbr and all his college friends agree with is that tennessee has the most beautiful college women pbr has seen w/ georgia a close second...spring break was alot of fun with those gals...

RR has a expensive crib in Soho, just a few blocks from where JT works.  JT's saw a her few times out and about.  Next time JT will suggest a $40 a day in Troy.

She's cuter in person than on TV.  She does swill the occasional cocktail, but she has to be way ahead after lunch. If she's under $15 after lunch, she'll have an afternoon or dinner drink.

Grad has seen her show and like you said JT depending on what she has spent determines if she goes for the drink or not.  If Mrs Grad & i watch we tend to make fun of her especially when she  tastes something and makes that stupid face & laugh...MMMMMMM....and then shorts the wait staff on the tip( Come on Rachel I know it's $40 a day but I think you could spring a little more on the tip!

Reg doesn't understand how she tips $1.15 on a meal, no matter how big it is.

MR made the comment about the stoopid face she makes, "Why doesn't she ever take a bite and tell everyone that it tastes horrible?"

Come on RR!!!......Reg is never afraid to speak his mind about food in a restaurant*.

*= Reg often gets a kick to the shins under the table or the silent treatment for the rest of the night once he does so.

Question for all you LLPPers (please answer truthfully)

Do you or Have you ever sat on the same side of the table with your SO at dinner.   Reg sees this happen on a normal basis and cannot understand WHY someone would need to be that close when they are eating!!!

Gro....be honest.

'gro

RR is a bad tipper, I noticed that before. JT gave me an idea...
$40 a Day Troy, NY

$40 in any college town is like hitting the lottery... I'm guessing at most of the prices but here's Gro's version of the perfect troy culinary experience.

Breakfast - Mannory's "Big Breakfast"
eggs, pancakes, sausage, hash browns, and a side of heart attack
Cost - $7 w/ tip

Lunch - Gus' Hot Dogs
4 dogs, 1 cheeseburger, 1 sausage sammich and a soda.
Cost - $5.50 (maybe even less)

Pre Dinner - Happy Hour at the Ruck
5 beers and all you can eat free wings (as many as the wing nazi will let you have). Don't forget the bleu cheesch.
$6.25, no need to tip

Dinner - Troy Pub
good food, normal prices
$12 just a guess, you're already full on wings and beer.

Late Night - Bob's Diner
Gravy fries w/ cheesch and a coffee (it's BYOGWNP... bring your own girls with no panties)
$6.50

Total Spent $37.25

there you have it. I'd like to see what Reg and LD have to say. With the $2.75 left there's still enough to grab a slice at I love NY pizza.

EDIT: my $40 a day in troy is a special day... I couldn't imagine having gus' dogs then happy hour THEN going out to dinner... that could kill a normal person.

Reg - same side of a booth, no never.   But sometimes on the square tables gro has sat at adjacent sides
