At first Union89 was jealous of the RPI relationship with the Johnnies.......Union89 now realizes the Johnnies supporters are some of the most solid folks on the site....... ;D

As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

bigdvs

bigdvs thinks ithica fans need to start getting that their bombers are no longer the end all of upstate power.

bombers losses make them seem inconsistent at best and fragile/weak at worst.

What excuse are you going to give when Union D shuts off half the bomber offense? "The schenectady air made our colored shirts and hats smell funny"  :P

bigdvs thinks some of the less known dutchmen will kill ithica

If LD11's life was a reality show, it would be wicked funny!!!
After last week's scary experience in Ass-plug-ville, NC, LD11 thought his travelling woes were over for a while. Last night changed all of that!

In an attempt to be a good Samaritan, LD11 brought home his paren't truck to MA last weekend, after an eventful trip and almost having his ass destroyed in Northern NC, he enjoyed the Union game, got a ride from WTFF and crashed at her house for a few days.  The plan was to fly back to Wilmington last night, and drive LD11's ride up to Boston for the Thanksgiving week.

Everything was perfect.  Security at Logan airport was smooth sailing.  Got on the plane with no problems.  Had to fly to Cincinnati airport for a quick layover.  But once on the plane, LD11's bag had nowhere to be put so it had to be checked.  The 'not-straight' flight attendant took LD11's bag and checked it, said he would give LD11 a ticket for it, but never did.  Upon takeoff, the pilot said there was some bad weather in Ohio/KY and we couldn't take off.  An hour later we did.  LD11 rushed to his connection flight which was already gone, and was left helpless.

No bag, no clothes, no luck.  Upon receiving assurance that his bag would be in Wilmington tomorrow, LD11 proceeded to get a $41 hotel room at the Days Inn with a care package which contained a razor, a toothbrush, and some 'manly deoderant'.  'Just walk out door 2 and wait for the Days Inn shuttle.' said the nice lady working for Delta.  45 minutes later the shuttle arrived and LD11 HAD to ask the driver if he had taken a stroll to his girlfriend's house for a quicky, in which the 80 year old driver replied with a simple 'No'.

LD11 had not yet eaten so he ventured out from his hotel in Northern Kentucky to the Peecox Bar and Grille at 11pm.  11pm on a Tuesday night in Northern Kentucky.  Just where LD11 wanted to be.

In said Bar and Grille, LD11 was subject to a delicious $5 steak dinner, $2 Coronas, and many scary individuals.  Dry Erase boards decorated the bar with specials posted.  These included 'Free Pool from 7am-11am on Sundays', 'Free food during NASCAR Races', '$1 Miller Lite on Tuesdays from 9-9:30 during 'My Name Is Earl'', and 'Tuesday Night $5 Steak Dinner from 7-Close'.  I wish I were making some of these up.  LD11 had the steak dinner and proceeded to get drunk while people with 3 teeth stared at him for the grand total of $15.

LD11 returned to his luxurious 'Days Inn' hotel room, in an attempt to document his night on Post Patterns only to find his laptop will not boot up any longer.

After a horrible night's sleep on a bed mattress most likely was infested by the Allston Bed Bugs, LD11 made it to the airport, and finally he is in sunny Wilmington, only to do some Laundry and head back out for a 10 hour drive to NJ, for a customer training in the morning, followed by the remainder of the drive on Thursday night.  Laptop is still not working.  LD11 has been wearing the same clothes for 3 days now, but the 'manly deoderant' has kept the bugs from attacking him.

So, after much further thought, LD11 has begun to think if his Ass-Explosion, NC trip, and Northern Kentucky(I refuse now to use the initials KY) were documented on his own reality show, he may be able to quit his job, and make millions off of the unintentional humor involved with the parody that has turned into his 'life'.

Have no fear, LD11 is alive and well.  His post work may take a hit if said laptop can NOT be fixed.  But rest assured, LD11 will fight until his last heart beat.  With the latest luck, this last heart beat may occur in about 200 miles, where he is sure his car will break down, and he will not be as lucky as he was with the last two situations.

Now, LD11 must poop.

Union, you're 10-0. You've played your two most difficult games against conference rivals at home. You've played exactly zero challenging non-conference games. You've played nobody difficult on the road(save me the weak "muhlenberg made the playoffs last year" garbage). I'm not saying Union isn't a good team, they are. But do you really wonder why you don't get the respect you all think you should?

Zero challenging non-conference games?  Wow.  OK.  Sure.  WHATEVER YOU SAY.

I guess the fact that Ithica beat Springfield by just 7 -- and the fact that Union pasted Springfield pretty well (by 28) -- means that Ithica played marginal against an unchallenging team.  So, I guess there goes your Union vs. Coast Guard counter-arguments everyone.

I guess that Ithica's loss to Lycoming, a mid-pack MAC team, shows a real challenge in their non-conference schedule.  I guess Union's win against two similar teams to Lycoming (Muhlenberg and F&M) shows a definite Ithica advantage.

Guy, do you know what you're talking about?  Even some pee-on who never suited up can see your post's problems.

Frank

Hey Frank, Ithaca hasnt played any challanging nonconference games either, but gobombers never said they did in his post. He simply pointed out that Unions nonconference schedule didnt deserve respect, which it doesent.  Thats why Union isnt #4 in the country.  If Ithaca was 10-0 they would probably be around 5th.  So its not the postpatterns people that think Union doesnt deserve the top ranking, its the people who run the national polls.  (I know you already know that. gobombers mentioned nothing about Ithaca being tough, under or overrated, or having a tough schedule.  So what problems does his post have except a difference of opinion????

Reno Hightower

Ithica is very good. From a very good league. They have won National Championships.

Union is also good and despite the seedings I would consider Union to be the underdog in this game......especially having given up 42 points last week.

LD11,
That is some funny stuff!

Karma for you!

RT, ZA says "thank you" and although he is old, as far as these work survival training tips, ZA is indeed, a young jeidi.  Zach new these boards had more meaning than just football...

Also, to those needing wrestling links....here's an OLDIE....

LD11 your travel story was hilarious... Gro is planning on driving from TN to NY for thanksgiving which will take him to some scary places along I-81.

When they tried to check your bag you should have gone off on them like Greg Focker.

NNR,

Union gave up 42 points to RPI who is NOT in the Playoffs.

I remind you, I root for Union but I look at things realistically.......

Like JU said, I'm not saying Ithaca did play many tough non-conference opponents(Cortland was the only one), but neither did Union. Not really Ithaca's fault that 'Port had a rebuilding year or that Lyco has been down since Ithaca scheduled them when they were National Quarterfinalists.

And, really, who is making excuses from the Bomber faithful this year?? I haven't seen anyone posting excuses at all. Everyone said the Lyco loss was a bad loss and everyone said the first half of Cortaca cost them the game. Those aren't excuses "guy," those are facts. Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't you the one who always makes excuses that if Union hadn't fumbled here or thrown picks there, they would have won by a lot more than they did. It's football, pal, and that's part of the game, so get over yourself and realize your team isn't as fantastic as you think it is and that will be proven this weekend.

We aren't going to have to make excuses after this weekend because Ithaca is going to beat you. Period. And come saturday night when I'm running my mouth all over this board, you're gonna come in and say "Ithaca is better than I thought, and they kicked our a$$ around Schenectady today."

gobombers I edited/added to my previous post.

I do know what people mean though when they say things like "the only way [my team] can lose the game is if we beat ourselves.  Thats what I feel about this Ithaca team.  If the qb makes great passes, they are unstoppable, and he has that potential.  Im sure Union is the exact same way
