Thanks gro I love snarfing coffee onto my keyboard. BK BABY THE FAST FOOD KING! Athough to be honest I would prefer a smokin 25 year old red head from Wendy's instead.

PBR...

pbr is having a totally 'ish day...pbr is at home as the fon rang at 5a.m. w/ a family friend who lives down the street. her husband left yesterday for paris island, s.c. as their son graduates from marine boot camp tomorrow. her  husband who did a tour in the navy was so proud of his son and in his early 40s went early to spend some quality time w/ his son. they have 4 boys and mom was leaving today w/ the rest of them for graduation. her husband was filling up gas wise right outside the military base and had a massive heart attack. they were lucky to revive him and got him to the hospital. where they brought his son in to see him from boot camp but had to medevac him to another hospital which obviously his son could not go. he is in grave condition and the neurosurgeon called his wife and told her to get there immediately as he evidently hit his head very bad when he fell from the heart attack. obviously it doesnt look good and his boys are at my house now as another friend is driving the wife down to s.c. already. 1 of the most sad things pbr has ever seen and been a part of, was supposed to be such a great time of graduation, xmas holidays and now all this happens....a very sad day and as the saying goes "treat everyday as if its your last as tomorrow is not promised to you...."

pbr my regards man. I hope hope everything works out with the father. Hang in and go easy. Hopefully everything will turn out in a much more positive way then it started. Life is crazy. You are so right though. We have got to be thankful for each day and live it like it is our last. I'll say a prayer and hope the situation improves, take care.

Stay upbeat, pbr... Try to keep the kids as upbeat as possible.  That's the best gift you can provide right now in an uncertain situation.  I know it hurts to watch and be a part of all of that, but pray and smile as much as you can.  My prayers are with the family.

The Rev is about to put an offer on a house.  In October, the same model sold for $137K, but now the one The Rev is looking at is $119K.  Nice big yard.  3Bd/2Ba.  Looks like The Rev is planning to stay in Yuma, AZ for a while.  Even if it's not the world's greatest place to live, The Rev is gainfully employed.

In other news, The Rev may become a high school football assistant coach this year.  An engineer The Rev works with is from Ohio, so he and The Rev started talking D-III foosball.  Guy is an assistant HS coach and offered to introduce Rev to head coach.  Will let everyone know what happens.

pbr hope your day today is off to a better start than yesterday. If not just keep your head up. Storm is about to hammer Old Dorp just waiting for it to begin. Maybe some soothing warm purple drank with marshmellows by the fire will keep me warm until 11am kickoff tomorrow. The old man and I are having an cholesteral breakfast extravaganza as we watch the Stagg tomorrow. Still having visions of the Dutch going undefeated next year...wishful thinking most likely but the potential may be there. Hopefully Andrew Connelly will be like Santa and throw gifts all over the freakin field to his fellow dutch elf recievers.......kids are in music and I am taking a 2 minute break from planning. Where to go???? LLPP baby!

roger that dl...mpbr is w/ the kids and their grandmother arrived now so they also have some more family now staying w/ them at their house. still havent heard anything from friends who went to s.c. yesterday. as when it rains it pours to make matters worse their car broke down going down so they ended up flying into charleston where her husband is located. so his truck is down in paris island, her car is in northern virginia and she and a family friend are in charleston. we know the chaplain met her at the airport last night, so things are not good obviously.  BUT on a positive note its absolutely dumping here today!! snowing like a m'fr out there and call is for 6-10 at pbr's house and up to a foot in the mountains...so tomorrow is pow pow day!! first tracks on the mountain and at the lift by 7am to wait for the opening!!

Update...unfortunately word has come down friend has passed away. his wife pulled the plug early this morning. KS pbr cant say how great the marines have been, they are taking care of everything and making sure a former navy man gets home, and their support system is just incredible. their chaplain is at the house w/ the sons and our chaplain. she went and saw her son graduate from boot camp today and the marines are getting everyone home and taking care of everything.  semper fi indeed....

Rev,

Are there any foreclosures in the area?  I have heard banks are basically taking any offer on those properties....
Since this is december, you might be in even better shape as far as timing goes (I'll defer to TGP on that)

Leave no one behind.  People can learn a lot from the Marines.  God Bless the family.
