JT would vote for Utah.  They probably couldn't beat Fla or Ok, but they deserve the chance.

Florida crawled by Alabama.  Utah ran by them from the get go.  I would think Utah CAN hang with both.

I know this will get answered tonight as to who's better, but here is my problem....

Oklahoma lost to Texas(12-1)...
Texas lost to Texas Tech.(11-2)...(second loss in bowl game)
Florida lost to Mississippi(9-4)...
Alabama lost to Florida(12-1)...but lost bowl game, and was behind FL anyway...
USC lost to Oregon St.(9-4)...

Utah was undefeated...

How was Utah not picked vs. Oklahoma???

The BCS is garbage. Those who say, "the season is the playoff" can go jump off a tall building. How is that statement true when teams play totally different schedules, some have championship games, it's ok for some teams to lose a game (UF/OU) while others can't (USC, Penn St, Texas... etc.) that's a pretty unfair "playoff".

p.s. Non-BCS teams are 3-1 in BCS bowls.

I don't buy the whole Utah thing.  Lets remember, these other bowl games (besides the national championship game) are really just ECAC games with parades.  What motivation did Alabama have in that game?  They mailed it in. 

What would we all be saying if Utah made the national championship game and lost to Florida or Oklahoma 55-10.  Remember what happend to Hawaii last year after people wanted then in the national championship game?

And if Florida is a 3-4 point favorite over Oklahoma shouldnt it be Utah vs Fla in that game?  I trust vegas a lot more than I trust the BCS computer.

The whole point is we'll never know without a playoff system.  Utah MIGHT not be as good, but they deserve it as much if not more than anyone else.

Regarding the Vegas spread...Florida is the popular vote right now.  All I have to say to that is:

Oklahoma's last 3 games
Oklahoma 65 (2)Texas Tech 21
Oklahoma 61 (12)Oklahoma St. 41
Oklahoma 62 (20)Missouri 21

Not taking anything away from Florida.  They have some really impressive wins too.  It's their loss that I have a problem with.

Champs are Utah in my mind without a doubt. I absolutely hate the BCS and feel it would only be effective if it was used to help get a set number of teams (more than 2) for a playoff. Enough with Father Tebow and his missionary stuff as well as Oklahoma and its heisman winner. Neither are undefeated and I really could give a #@!$ who wins. Again......John Adams, Utah, Tebow is annoying, Oklahoma would lose to Utah, and naked male ass hanging from a ski lift. What a week! Did they catch the New Jersey farm criminal yet?

I think it still comes down to the fact that the SEC and Big 12 are better than the Mountain West.  I do not think Utah would have gone undefeated in those conferences.

Im not saying its fair, because Utah did everything they could have done (except maybe scheduling tougher non-conference games than Michigan, Weber St, Utah St, and Oregon St).

And dont forget Mississippi beat Texas Tech in the Cotton Bowl.

roger that the dood was apprehended trying to hook up w/ his wife at a hotel. although he tried to steal a car across the street from pbr's work when someone saw him wed. night  and broke into another house down the street after spending the night outside in that wicked ice storm...now he has added another 5 years to his sentence when he was due to be paroled in 4 months...total idiot

I agree.  The game wasn't that exciting or impressive.  A few good hits.  Stoops' balls shrunk near the goal line.  OU should have had a 2 TD lead at the half and that bit them in the a$$.  Florida took care of business, but they weren't overly impressive which makes the thought of handing them the national championship even worse.
