hmmmm...lots of smoke (where smoke theres fire...) that chucky gruden is going to be named the next HC of notre dame and the extremely overrated round mound of rebound weis will be dumped right after LOI day....(classy ND move not allowing recruits to bail after the coach that recruited them is canned)

Is Gruden really a step up over Weis?  That is an expensive dumping.  JT was thinking one more year for Weis to go a minimum of 10-3 with a major bowl win, else throw major bank at Urban and allow Meyer some special admits.

I think Gruden could actually be a better college coach than Pete Carroll, as Carroll was not a good NFL coach but a decent motivator for younger players.  Gruden has a much higher level of success in the pros and an even higher leve of motivation abilities.  His firing at TB was a shock to me and really shows me a team that takes for granted its recent success.  I'm sure several schools are going to chase him (although the firing would have been better timed a few weeks ago to allow him full opportunities).

40 degrees this morning in Miami... coldest I've experienced in South Florida ever.  The puffy winter jackets are in effect.  Something is just wrong with this scene,

right on LD. love the restaurant, hate the long lines. There's one closer to my house and it's nowhere near as packed.

p.s. the cajun fries are a must.

p.p.s. "no onions on a burger!"

p.p.p.s I wouldn't be suprised if one burger w/ fries is equal to 3 days worth of calories.

Had my first one at BWI when I flew Jetblue from Lauderdale to Dulles for the Stagg Bowl.  I'd go back... several times.  They just opened one in Clifton Park (about 15 minutes from Union off Exit 9 on I-87).  I'll be hitting that one hard now that I know about it.

Closest Five Guys is about .5 miles uptown from the office.  JT goes for bacon cheesh burger.  Fresh beef. The fries are awesome, twice fried and crispy.  If it was cold, JT might go today.  He has been there since Oct.

JT just stumbled on it.  JT likes a really good burger every once in a while.  Noticed that there were no Five Guys in North Jersey.  So he checked into buying a franchise.  Needless to say, JT is a little short. Can the LLPP spare a couple of hundred thou?  Anyway, JT can start his own great burger joint with liquor license for a lot less.

Here's the Five Guys breakdown:

    * Business ownership and employee management experience
    * Ability to purchase the rights to open five (5) or more locations

KS now has to try Five Guys, the closest to KS work is Bleeker St.  Too far for lunch, there is one in Hoboken on Washington, may head there with MKS and Stalkerette this weekend.

Does the burger and fries also include a defibralator?

JU meets one of the above criteria

Best burger and fries KS has ever had is the Park Tavern in Jersey City.  Burger is probably about 3/4 lb before cooking and is fresh ground meat delivered every morning.  Served on a toated kaiser roll and fresh cut fries.  Nothing fancy, no special sauces, just fresh meat and potatoes cooked how you tell them.  Last time KS was there they had Guiness, Smithwicks, Bass, Harp, ML, Coors and Bud on tap.  Place used to be a speakeasy during prohibition, they still have the sliding door panel and pull down panels for the bar.  The tables are cable spools.  Nice Irish bar.

JT

JT's thinking he would do a fresh ground thing of prime cuts of veal and beef, fresh made hot dogs.  Really great fries, rings, shakes, and beer. And lot's of big screens, tuned to sports.  Probably about $250-$300K

Dude, the 5 guys burgers are all doubles, unless you get the kiddie burger.  They have a list of stuff you can ask for.(bacon, jalapenos, mayo, ketchup, fried onions, fried mushrooms, etc etc)  They come out in this greasy paper bag with about a million fries in the small.  It's nothing short of amazing.
