this restaurant in pennsy shows how the LLPP rolls...

That's the seven pounder, gotta eat it in a hour in order get your name and pic on the wall.  A TV food guy tried it recently and failed.  Only got through 2/3.

negative ghostrider...that burger shown is 80lbs of angus beef w/ a total burger weight of 123lbs. denny beer barrel pub has a 15 lb. burger also  that a dood just whoofed down in 2 hrs. 23 mins for a new record crazy stuff most pro eaters go to denny's to try and set burger records.

Ah ok this joint was in Pittsburgh

LD, good luck on your diet.  Don't think of me and my Anna's Taqueria steak quesadilla I just had.

JU goes to Eagles Deli in Brighton, MA for great 1/2 pound burgers.  Then of course there is the "Challenge Burger", 5 pounds, 20 slices of cheese, 20 pieces of bacon, and another 5 pounds of fries.  I think you get a free roll of toilet paper if you finish it.

JT saw a guy win on TV. Then he was offered two more 1/2 pound burgers to have the burger (and new challenge) named after him.  He gobbled the two and then booted.  Funny ish.  He still got the photo on the wall for the original challenge.

You guys all suck.  You know i'm dying for a Prime Rib peppercorn from Quiznos, Super Steak Burrito from Anna's, and a bacon cheese burger from 5-guys, washed down with about 47 beers.  I'm gonna go munch on a tomato or something.  Jerks.

LD, try some Tofu and sprouts if you get sick of the tomatos....

LD, Gus's mini dogs means you're eating smaller portions... and that's healthy right?

I'll take 50, and a diet coke.

That looks good.

JT thought that Anna's opened up a new spot in NYC, but is a different Anna's.

round o' k+ to all for pertinent discussions on burgers, fries etc.

this why after long days at work (when TGP didn't have time to lurk) TGP loves the LLPP.

a Five Guys just opened up near where gro works, and you would think they are slinging crack from the way people pack this place. They make a good burger, but my buddy said the wait time was almost 20min from the time you walk in the door to the time you are handed a greasy paper bag.  Everyone goes crazy when a new restaurant opens. Gro is considering opening up a Big Kahuna Burger franchise.

Mmm-mmmm. That is a tasty burger.

Owned by a Union Alum.....thought you RPI guys might want to know!
ENJOY!

Best burger and fries KS has ever had is the Park Tavern in Jersey City.  Burger is probably about 3/4 lb before cooking and is fresh ground meat delivered every morning.  Served on a toated kaiser roll and fresh cut fries.  Nothing fancy, no special sauces, just fresh meat and potatoes cooked how you tell them.  Last time KS was there they had Guiness, Smithwicks, Bass, Harp, ML, Coors and Bud on tap.  Place used to be a speakeasy during prohibition, they still have the sliding door panel and pull down panels for the bar.  The tables are cable spools.  Nice Irish bar.

Best I've ever had was at RF O'Sullivan's in Somerville, MA (on the Cambridge/Somerville line).  Half pound (maybe more) burger with awesome cooked onions.  I'd often get it rare there because the meat was just so damned good.  The fries were the large pub fries and they soaked the juices from the burger in great fashion.  Start there with the boneless buffalo chicken wings (I know, but they're awesome with blue cheese) and some good beer and you're good to go for the day.

I am sorry but Red Robin's burgers are fantastic. All the fries you can eat plus a pleathera yes plethera of burgers to choose from. It is a GONG SHOW of delightful burger eating in that place. should be some +k for the mention of gus' hot dogs!

pbr's friend got 1 of these over xmas and they just rock. we set up a terrain park in his back yard and cranked it up to build a huge cooler for a keg and just keep the keg in the snow and now crank the lights and music and rip. pbr is seriously thinking about getting one whats the llpp thoughts....

Pbr,

Are you losing it?  Please don't tell me you want to spend $2400 on a device that makes ice to keep a keg cold?!?

What else would you use it for?

Dude, this is like saying Fuddruckers has the best burgers.  Come on now!  I know you are in Schenectady and there isn't much to choose from, but there is no comparison.  Gus's burgers kill Red Robin.  It's like saying Johnny Rockets is the best burger.  Come on!
