The MIAC knows how we roll (if the sniper were from the MIAC gro would be very disappointed), pick another board and a time and it's on.

This sniper is obviously very sneaky waiting until no one is on the board to strike.  What we need is for someone to not be logged in and be undercover and to pull a few all-nighters and keep an eye on nerds reading the board.  Any volunteers?

Does anyone else play beat the streak on espn?  Good way to try and win $1million...Highly recommended...You gottta pick 27 games in a row.  LD11 has a current streak of 7, and i'm already counting the $$$...Not encouraged to count the $$$...After my last streak of 6, I lost 8 in a row.

PBR & the LLPP- I understand the whole executive cap is a good thing, but $500k is a really big swag for some of these guys!!
I see this having a large effect of companies being able to pull out of this slump, due to senior leadership jumping ship early. (no direction, uneasy feeling with employees, etc)  Why would any of these guys stick around for $500 large a year?  The way I see it, they could jump to a better paying job elsewhere, even if it means taking a lesser position.

Thoughts?

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Barack Obama kicks off a campaign on Wednesday to rein in corporate compensation with rules limiting executive pay to $500,000 a year for companies getting taxpayer bailout funds in the future.

its a tough call because public perception is that these doods got us into this mess and now we are giving them huge bonuses for what? the other side of the coin is what your saying top talent is going to fly to a better spot which makes these big companies in more trouble w/ lesser talent leading them in these troubled times....In reality does it matter anymore? might be time to pull the plug and go live off the land again....

Feb. 3  -- Eric Sprott, the Canadian money
manager who last year predicted banking stocks would collapse,
said the U.S. is at the beginning of an economic depression that
will help gold prices more than double.
Bullion may top $2,000 an ounce in coming years amid a
series of financial catastrophes, the chairman and founder of
Toronto-based Sprott Asset Management Inc. said yesterday in an
interview. Banks will battle to replenish capital, Treasury
auctions stand the risk of failing and the moribund economy will
create a dire operating outlook for many companies, he said.
"The trend is down, and there's not one signpost that says
it's changing yet," Sprott said yesterday from Toronto. "We'll
stand by to wait to see those, and until it does, you have to
assume it gets worse."
Sprott, who manages $4.5 billion, said in March that the
world was in a "systemic financial meltdown," a call that
presaged the collapse of financial institutions including Bear Stearns and Lehman....

Come on PBR, expecting lesser talent to improve these companies is like asking me to step into a rally car and win a huge race and I'm qualified to run just bc I know how to drive.

But then on the other hand I think, obviously, if these guys are taking huge bonuses and lavish vacations on the company dime, how much loyalty to the business do they actually have??  It is like they are trying to drive the business into the ground and don't care as long as they get paid!

Who knows the right answer....this is getting out of hand....
How long until TARP reaching the magical "Trillion"

Rant off
