PBR & the LLPP- I understand the whole executive cap is a good thing, but $500k is a really big swag for some of these guys!! 
I see this having a large effect of companies being able to pull out of this slump, due to senior leadership jumping ship early. (no direction, uneasy feeling with employees, etc)  Why would any of these guys stick around for $500 large a year?  The way I see it, they could jump to a better paying job elsewhere, even if it means taking a lesser position.

its a tough call because public perception is that these doods got us into this mess and now we are giving them huge bonuses for what? the other side of the coin is what your saying top talent is going to fly to a better spot which makes these big companies in more trouble w/ lesser talent leading them in these troubled times....In reality does it matter anymore? might be time to pull the plug and go live off the land again....

   

Come on PBR, expecting lesser talent to improve these companies is like asking me to step into a rally car and win a huge race and I'm qualified to run just bc I know how to drive.

But then on the other hand I think, obviously, if these guys are taking huge bonuses and lavish vacations on the company dime, how much loyalty to the business do they actually have??  It is like they are trying to drive the business into the ground and don't care as long as they get paid!

Who knows the right answer....this is getting out of hand....

whoa...pbr aint necessarily agreeing w/ it, just giving the perception and facts out there....that is a big concern in losing top flight talent and having a j.v. qb step in, there is a reason he is on the j.v. team....this whole thing sux...so many people are out of work and its only going to get worse. no matter what anyone says no one knows the right/quick way to fix this...whether its cash infusion, cut taxes or a combo no one knows for sure and anyone saying otherwise is blowing smoke up yer azz...

There needs to be some responsibility out there in corporate amurrica.  One of the main competitors to gro's company gave bonuses to their top brass (for a dismal year where their stock dropped 80%) that were up to 50% of their salary and they made a special arraingement to pay them in cash instead of stock since the stock was so low.  2 weeks later they file for ch11.

Bman did a little pre-investigating into the West region.   Given that Pat's definition of "Late" is somewhat subjective...Bman looked at West region posters posting after 12:30am during the last 2 weeks...

I haven't been around since the end of the playoffs, but I wanted to come on for anyone that follows Hobart, or is around N NJ.  While not a football player, a soph Lax player at Hobart by the name of Warren Kimber was found dead off campus over the weekend.  At our school, something like this will affect the whole community. 

From what I hear he was a very personable and well known guy.  He was from Summit, NJ. 

Sorry to come on with this kind of news, but thought it deserved mention for the Hobart folks or anyone else who cares.

You can take me off that list...it's not me.  I'll admit that I've serial dinged some PP members in the past (RU Fan, Snoop Dawg, TDT (that one is out of love)) but I don't waste my time coming on a board that I don't read that often to ding people that are not doing anything but being entertaining. 

Also, there is no way I can see D O.C. doing that either.  Just not in his style.
