The Rev lost his job at the airport today.  No chance in hell The Rev can earn the same kind of cabbage at another job in Yuma, so he is bailing out.

The Rev is headed back to his old stomping grounds in South Korea.  Things are ugly there, too, but at least The Rev won't be paying taxes.  We're talking a 50% cut in pay.  Considering that a) the Rev will work a lot fewer hours, b) no income tax or payroll deductions, etc., c) free housing,  d) probably lose weight on the korean diet of kimchi and rice, and e) will once again be surrounded by Korean chicks, The Rev is OK with the trade-off.  Especially e.  The desert is dry in more than one way, boys.

The only catch is that the Rev needs to be there and ready to start by March 16.  The Rev doesn't know about you guys, but it's tough to get my stuff sold (or packed up and shipped off) and house leased in a couple weeks.  Also, The Rev plans to drive his car and few worthwhile worldly belongings back to Norwich, NY from Yuma, AZ (about a 4 day trip of non-stop hauling ass).

Didn't know it was going to happen like this or be so quick.  Darn.  Guess The Rev won't be seeing you at the Hobart v RPI or Union in 2009.

Rev,

Hope everything goes smoothly. Cheers.  Stay in touch.

I have been using the FIOS package for over a year now.  The experience has been trouble free and top quality.  I have fewer movie chanels due to the package I chose but I do get other stations that Cablevision does not carry.  The kicker is I pay about $50/month less for FIOS than IO triple play.

Garnet curious about your quality issues and contract situation with Verizon. Seriously trouble free? Mdlippiel and I are looking into switching to Fios in an attempt to shave off some $ from our monthly bill for 3 in 1 w/ Time Warner. Did you have to sign a two year contract like with the phones? If so do they jack the rates after the two years. Thoughts from anyone on this would be appreciated. Time Warner has a ****ing monopoly here in the Capital Region. They do show some solid local sports though and dlippiel doesn't know if he would want to lose that. We are also considering getting rid of the landline (because we always use our cell phones) and only keeping internet and TV. Just looking to give less to the man thats all.

a nice thing verizon did for pbr was currently pbr has comcast cable and veriz internet and fon which was reup'd in oct. for a 2 year contract, right before they had switched to yearly contracts. by going to the bundle w/ fios tv included w/ internet and fon they ripped up that contract and gave pbr a 1 yr. contract. basically shaves 9 months of the existing contract which pbr is fine with as it doesnt lock pbr in long term.

KS got his, Quiznos down the street here in NY doesn't take coupons.  KS will have a sub after rehearsal tomorrow night.  Passes a quiznos on Rt 23 on way to guitarist house, stop and get free sub, and nuke when KS gets home.  KS already can taste jam night dinner.

KS had dinner of champions last night.  The recession buster special at Grays Papaya on 8th.  Two dogs with kraut, onions and mustard and a small papaya.  Still the best dogs KS ever had.

I don't have any issues with FIOS quality. It is great.  I did lock in for two years. To me, it was not a problem since  CVC was raising rates just about every quarter.

Through a neighbor(employed by VZ), I got the family and friends discount, a free 19in HDTV and a totally unexpected $100 AXP gift card.

At the end of the first year I lost one of many credits so my monthly bill went up by $5/ month.  Still saving $45/ month based on CVC's rates and then some when factoring in the other bonuses.

I expect most if not all the other credits(ex: $4 HBO & $8 DVR credit) to expire at the end of year two.  If it does happen, I will look to play CVC off VZ to see what deal I can get.

Best of luck my friend.  U89 wants to tell you to keep it in your pants, but what fun would that be?

Be safe Pal....

If this works for normal foreclosures, why doesn't everyone in America just say this?
