This just in:

TGP's sources telling him a "gift announcement" coming from Hobart (re: athletics).

TGP thinks it has to do with renovations to the ole Boz.

AUPepBand

Pep just realized yesterday that AU and Hobart both have nine games on their schedule and share an open date on Oct. 17. Pep thinks the Saxons, already with five home games, should make a trip to the Boz on Oct. 17, where the Statesmen have only four games scheduled for 2009....

+K for excellent suggestion.  The Rev would love to see the Saxons and Statesmen duke it out old school.

And if that doesn't work out, perhaps we can still get together during the bye week and use my old Electronic Football to simulate the game.
Check out the official card game of the AU Pep Band - Str8 Eight!

Completely agree.  TGP's going to email Coach Cragg and Mike Hanna ASAP.

Not like Hobart can't afford an extra game now - check out this nice donation for Athletics:

as forrest gump said..."hit me right in the buttocks..."

HENNIKER, N.H. (AP) — Police in New Hampshire say two
college students have been arrested over a pledging ceremony
where fraternity initiates were burned with a hot World War II-
era bayonet.
Henniker police say 25-year-old Nicholas Weiss and 22
-yeasr-old Kevin Phelps were each charged with four misdemeanor
counts of student hazing this week. Police say the two used the
heated bayonet to brand at least seven other New England College
students at the Sigma Alpha Beta fraternity house last fall.
The seven who were branded were charged in March over a
separate ceremony that night.
Police started investigating after pledges went to the
school infirmary with severe burns to their chests. One had
burns to his buttocks.

KS is doing a little bragging but it is D3 related.  KS nephew has just started as the Head coach for Track and Field and Cross Country at Eastern Mennonite University.  Matt Dougherty
