John Sterling just called to let me know that I can buy my bleacher seat from the old Yankee Stadium (pictured below my handle) for $400 plus $70 S/H.  I'd love to have it, but I just don't think it's worth it.  Thoughts from the LLPP?

Let me put it this way; I have never, ever changed a team I rooted for in my life. I have loved the Yanks since I first saw Reggie play. Once I found out how much those seats behind home plate cost, and realized that Micheal Kay "literally" wants to perform oral sex on Jeter, I have begun watching the Mets on a nightly basis. I realize I may take some heat for this, and rightfully so, but it is the way I feel. I have had enough of the Yankee crap that I can give no more to that team. So basically AUkaz00 I wouldn't give them an actual piece of **** for one of those old seats. To me the memories are worth the most and I don't have to pay those bums anything for those.

By the way dlippiel and Mrs. dlippiel are expecting for the first time! Very happy!

LLPP Economic Forum topic of the day:

How about the government stops giving AIG billions of dollars and let's them fold like a cheap suit.

Throwing good money after bad never works, no matter how bad you want it to. Now they've got their hand out for more, and eventually it must stop.

I am tired of it! Let these crooks fail and hit bottom like the bunch of dirtbags they are! I am getting really annoyed with all this handing out of money. All of us who have been playing by the rules, paying our bills, being honest, doing the "right" things get nothing from Mr. Obama. COuld you imagine someone actually being held acountable for something?

By the way anyone on the LLPP listen to Clemens yesterday on Mike and Mike. He is simply pathetic and just a total idiot. I think this jerk actually helped book sales by addressing it on the day of its release; real smart. I am glad he is paying a company a bunch of money to help him with his PR that keeps giving him this great advice that just reiterates what we all know (or should know). That he is a liar :-*

This might be just a litte too simplistic of a solution, but what if the governemtn just got a list of clients (not stockbrokers) of AIG, give AIGs competitors/peers the names of all these clients, and simply give that money to these other american companies or clients to use the services of the new companies?  You could probably even throw in a bone to old stockbrokers to AIG, and let the AIG staff rot in hell?  It seems to me that that would cost a lot less money that what is being spent now on a failing company.

As for Clemens, hes in the old "this is my story and Im sticking to it" bit.  He has no choice but to continue the lie.  Hes gone past the point of no return I think.  Unless he comes out and really explains why he lied this whole time, he has dug himself a hole that he is not going to get out of.

Yea I would think that pilots must have some sort of official database with logged in hours, training, tests and the whole nine yards.  Thats crazy.

Now I have a rant.  It's not as important as airline safety, but it's something that bugged me this past weekend.

So JU is getting two free months of all the movie channels (Max, showtime, encore, TMC, etc).  Last night I'm flipping through and see the movie 'There Will Be Blood' on ShowtimeHD.  The movie is in the middle, and I wanted to see the movie, so I go ondemand to look for it so I can start from the begining.  So I look through the ShowtimeHD movie selection and 'There Will Be Blood' isn't there!  WTF?  I mean, I can DVR it the next time it comes on, but what is the point on not having these movies on demand that they show on the regular station?  And then there are all the movies that they show on HD during the regular time, but the HD versions aren't availabe ondemand, just the regular ones?  Id even be willing to sit through some commercials ondemand for the "luxury" of watching these things when I want to.  How does Showtime benefit by not having these movies ondemand?

good rants on the LLPP today...you are correct JU you would think that 1 of the cable/dish providers would come up w/ this business model...its not rocket science here...pbr is sure this ticks reg off as well....if need be will comcast/dish network/at&t/verizon pls report to the principals office (the LLPP) so we can hammer into their skulls what we want to watch on tv and when we want to watch it

That hole he's dug himself is going to be surrounded by steel bars after the investigation is done.

So JU notices that the Cornell/Hobart lax game was a thiller last week, as Hobart came back from an 8-1 early deficit to lose a close game 8-7.  So I go online to see some highlights and videos of the game, and I see that in the boxsore and from the tape that barely 1,000 people were at the game (at Cornell).

Is this a sign that d3 football is bigger at Hobart than lax is there (or even at Cornell?).  I mean, this looked like a nice day and I was just suprised that such a big game with fans less than an hour from both schools didn't provide more people.

LD11's thoughts of the day:

1.  dlipp - Congrats...
2.  LD11<glad it is you and not him>
3.  Had a cheeseteak at Pat's in Philly this afternoon...Divine...having heart palpitations...
4.  Drank a bunch of beers at the Philly airport and stared at bums...This is one of LD11's favorite pastimes.  While some are gross, others are so worth it.  LD11 is amazed at some of the outfits chicks wear on planes.  I especially enjoy the skin tight polyester sweatpants, with extra lines...See that Russ?  No lines!
5.  People movers at airports are not f'ing rides!!!  They are to help you get from point A to point B FASTER!!!  Your fat lazy azz could use the walk anyway!  Not to mention, when you don't walk, your too fing fat to leave room for the next person to get by you.  I hate you!
6.  Chinese people really baffle me.  They are always in a rush...and they never swear!!!
7.  The lady who won the Biggest Loser made me want to barf when she lifted her arms up and it looked like my ball bag.
8.  Ray Allen is filthy when he needs to be.
9.  LD11 aspires to make homemade go-karts cool again, for people our age.
10.  I would love to hang out with Mark Cuban.

That is all.  Carry on...
