Say it ain't so... pitchman Billy Mays found dead

http://www.forbes.com/feeds/ap/2009/06/28/ap6595135.html

Someone probably finally cracked from watching all his annoying commercials

wild stuff he was on that u.s. airways flight that blew out its front tires on landing and billy got hit in the head w/ luggage. they arent sure whether he just had a heart attack or head injury (similiar to natasha richardsons) if so lesson learned always get any head injury checked out by the hospital

That is all speculation right now.  Autopsy to occur today.

Just read about preliminary autopsy findings ... Mr. Mays had an enlarged heart (17 oz. vs normal of 10-13 oz.) and likely suffered a pulmonary embolism, although nothing is official yet. No evidence of head trauma.

yeowzah...that is a big difference...pbr will miss billy mays....where is KS at today? doesnt he work for 1 of these companies?

R.I.P....what an amazing soldier/man...cant believe everything he did and survived.

Most-decorated Marine pilot dies at 89

CLACKAMAS (AP) — Retired Marine Corps Col. Kenneth L. Reusser, called the most decorated Marine aviator in history and was shot down in three wars, has died at age 89.

Reusser flew 253 combat missions in World War II, Korea and Vietnam and was shot down in all three, five times in all.

His 59 medals included two Navy Crosses, four Purple Hearts and two Legions of Merit.

In 1945, while based in Okinawa, he stripped down his F4U-4 Corsair fighter and intercepted a Japanese observation plane at a high altidude. When his guns froze, he flew his fighter into the observation plane, hacking off its tail with his propeller.

In 1950 in Korea led an attack on a North Korean tank-repair facility at Inchon, then destroyed an oil tanker almost blowing himself out of the sky.

In Vietnam he flew helicopters and was leading a rescue mission when his Huey was shot down. He needed skin grafts over 35 percent of his badly burned body.

Reusser, who lived in the Portland suburb of Milwaukie, was born Jan. 27, 1920, the son of a minister.

Reusser raced motorcycles to help pay for college and earning a pilots license before WWII.

After retiring from the Marine Corps he worked for Lockheed Aircraft and the Piasecki Helicopter Corp. He remained active in veterans groups.

Reusser died June 20 of natural causes. He is survived by his wife, Trudy; and sons, Richard C. and Kenneth L. Jr. Interment was Friday in Willamette National Cemetery.

Wow!  Betcha he was a nice, humble guy.  JT's met more than a few of these types, and you'd never know about their heroism from talking to them.  You'd always hear about it from others.

Yeah, guys that saw off the tails off planes with their propellers IN MID AIR are normally nice, humble guys.

Man that would be a cool story to have for an ice breaker at work.

KS has solid alibis for Saturday and Sunday.  KS is wondering where the boss was on Sat though.

This happens.  JT's met a few Medal of Honor winners among others with major citations.  One guy JT met (over a decade ago) just seemed like a nice grandfather looking after his grand daughters.   JT's Dad mentioned that the guy was a Medal of Honor winner.

The guy and two of his severely injured buddies were in a hut and surrounded by North Koreans.  He started killing them with his sidearm as they came through the door, and when he ran out of ammo, killed six more with only an entrenching tool (small shovel).

U89 - it saves money on scuba gear.

Me thinks the dutchmen will be very envious of the new diggs across the hudson.  Not that there's anything wrong with Frank Bailey field. I mean, you added some new bleachers, so you got that going for you.

Jealousy obviously has a lot to do with it.....but, any time U89 has an opportunity to point out a homophobic RPI comparison...he's going for it!!
