just remember its preseason....eagles were playing the most basic 2 deep zone coverage almost everydown. no stunting up front and little blitzing at all pbr or any LLPP member could of stood in that backfield and fired lazers downfield like that. come on its football 101 ...science

The corner route he completed to Moss showed he is back.  He drove the ball in there over one defender but without leading Moss into the safety, who was over top.  I'm not a Patriots fan, but I like seeing good QB play.  I do think this another "FU year" for the Pats.  I wouldn't want the Bengals to be on their schedule in 09.

You're right, LD.  The Palmer reference doesn't compute. .. it took Palmer about a year and half to actually come back as well.

And to PBR and the rest of the Eagles crybabies...

Vick is an amazing football talent.  If your a PETA person or something like that and you're gonna hate people your entire life, fine, go burn your bra, but as a football lover, I am excited to see how Vick does.  I wish it were in a different uniform because he's so talented, he could change the dynamic of a team very easily.  After seeing the typical boring old Eagles last night, I think getting Vick was genius.

Give a guy a chance.  He came from some pretty messed up stuff, and did some cruel and stupid things.  BUT, he hasn't been arrested 47 times with guns in strip clubs in Vegas, he didn't get drunk and run over a PERSON, he wasn't injecting himself with needles and lying about it to congress, or shooting people outside his bar, or picking up hookers at the Super Bowl, etc etc.  He was in a sick and twisted gambling ring that got out of hand.  He's owned up to it.  He's paid the price and spent more than 30 days in jail.  Get over it.

Or, just be your normal miserable A-Hole Philly fan selves, and b!tch about it until Santa comes back and then have your POS good for nothing Senator look into Andy Reid's diet.

LD u got just about every fact in the above statement wrong.... where did pbr cry about the signing? all pbr said was he didnt see the fit. especially when the eagles president said 1 week ago that they had the best roster in the nfl? if so joe banner either sold everyone a bill of goods and/or didnt believe it or this move didnt make sense. when you have westbrook/mccoy/jackson/maclin as weapons not sure where vick fits. in fact the eagles need a tight end and oline/dline much more than another wr/rb.

pbr was reporting was sports radio was saying here. for eagles fans the majority are saying on the radio its tough for people to get past electrocuting dogs, stringing them up like a hammock and body slamming them into the ground until they died and holding their heads under water until they drowned. As well as the weed problem he had in atlanta. As well as his teammates in atlanta saying he had horrible study habits and work out habits in atlanta.

santa pls...let it go that was 60 years ago and your standing here giving pbr a speech about moving on? pot meet kettle....(if u saw any pix of that santa he deserved to get pelted that was 1 awful costume/attempt at trying to look like santa).

pbr would rather of seen the money spent on a tight end since they only have 1 on the roster and he separated his shoulder last night. or an oline/dline since they have 3 oline guys  injured right now and could really use a outside pass rusher since trent cole went down hurt as well. pbr is with holding judgement as pbr saw needs that were more immediate then signing vick.

also another wrong fact andy reid has lost a ton of weight and is losing more since he is now on this new diet change and lifestyle change. but in reality who cares about that not me...guess you have some man love for seeing reid in a speedo?

peta is a bunch of whack jobs always have been always will be...pbr enjoys steak, hamburgers, dawgs, cheese steaks more than most fools out there...

now back to our regularly scheduled llpp programming....

I've been watching ESPN all morning and hearing people say that Vick deserves to be executed like the dogs, and all this other crap from, who else, Philly fans, were the cause of my rant.  it was not meant to be directed at you or your post PBR, i'm just sick and tired of hearing these guys bash the guy so much.  This guy actually SERVED time.  Real time!  Yet people can't give him another chance.  Isn't that what jail is for?

I just can't stand how badly people want to crucify the guy STILL.  It makes me sick.  Most of the people being interviewed are non-educated illiterate idiots though, but they seem to give the responses that make people like me pissed off, so i guess they do it for a reason.

Be careful saying that you like to eat dawgs...you may get a battery thrown at you.

Although I also agree that Vick deserves another chance, I really can't fault people who don't want to give Vick a chance.

I mean, here is a man who willfully, intentionally, and maliciously, tortured and murdered helpless animals.  It takes a different kind of human being to do that kind of thing.

On the other hand, I would not be able to butcher a cow, chicken or pig the way our farmers have to.  And there is the whole southern culture where you simply grow up in an enviornment where dog fighting, cockfighting, hunting, trapping etc is a part of your day-to-day life.

The way someone like I grew up in the surburban northeast is different than the way someone in the rural south grows up.  There is something to be said for the the type of enviornment someone grows up in.

The Rev saw in the news that the Eagles have taken a chance on Vick.

Vick was reported as saying, "I  know now that we should not have dogs fight.  We should have them for dinner...like they do in Korea."

Rev, I was wondering if churches in Korea look like the new one that's going up in my hometown.  Its kind of starting a little bit of controversy as it may be the ugliest church in the world.  I guess there is this law in Massachusetts called the Dover Amendment which basically says that religious and some educational buildings can ignore local zoning laws and basically build whatever they want.  Anyway, here is the monstrosity that now sits in what was once a decent looking Brookline Village...

Catholic and Anglicans are building completely ass church structures, as are Presbyterian mega-churches.  On the other hand, small Presbyterian churches build rather nice, but unoriginal, traditionally-minded structures.

Sample Catholic Church:

The Rev can barely step foot in these monstrosities.  Obviously more money than taste.  Unfortunately, cruddy structures win awards.

My thoughts exactly.  People do a lot worse ISH and end up with getting similar or less than the amount of time Vick did.  Get off him already

I will admit that I am an eagles fan (most likely would not be if i lived anywhere close to philly) and I'm not sure how I feel about the vick signing.  It certainly gives them some sick options at the skilled positions. I just hope it doesnt become to much of a circus

On a side note driving around this am listening to boston radio i think its funny how everyone has been calling in and saying how tom brady is the 2nd coming of christ.  I think according to them brady is at gillette right now curing blind child of there afflictions with a simple touch on the forehead.  Said typical boston fans are highlighted in this movie

In my neverending quest to defend Dixie to IC, I just heard a report that the President of the Philly Humane Soceity is happy about the Vick signing because Philly has the highest rate of dogfighting in the US and he wants Vick to work as a spokesman.

I haven't looked for the story online to confirm any of that though.

Instead of Southern I should have said "backwoods".  Although dogfighting and cockfighting is a problem in the urban northeast as well.

Yeah I heard Mix98.5 took the place of it...Mix 98.5 makes me sick.  They are worthless, play the same 10 songs on repeat, and their DJs are the biggest ass-clowns known to man.  ALMOST as bad as Ramiro the freakin Puerto Rican.

It is a sorry state of affairs.  I even heard Blind Melon on WAAF recently.  Nothing against Blind Melon, but they belong on 98.5, not WAAF.

Although I did hear Metallica on 92.9 recently!  That station hasn't figured itself out yet.
