K-Mack

Now that this little Kickoff '09 thing is out of the way, K-Mack would like to discuss the much ballyhooed-but-never-follow-throughed "ATN and the LLPP go to a game"

Would probably be best if you made suggestions on the ATN thread, as I work way too much to stay current here. :)

panther pride is no match for that purple drank!

sip sip sip!

Speaking of which, K-Mack is playing poker with the fellas this spring and a dude walks in with one of these:

K-Mack is taken aback, because not only is it called Purple Drank, but it says "Slow Your Roll" on the can.

K-Mack wonders which came first, the chicken or the egg. Did an LLPPer invent this with an eye on trying to do like 50 Cent and get $400 milly for his drink company?

Kickoff looks GREAT by the way. What else could be better pre-season reading for D3 football. dippiel is very appreciative of all the hard work and preparation that goes into making the kickoff so great. The U gets ranked 74th and RPI gets the nod at 70th in the rankings. Very interesting to dlippiel that U is ranked that low, let alone behind RPI who does not even have an established QB. Yet dlippiel feels this may be the theme of the U's season, underated and something to prove. Honestly to dlippiel with the U's lack of recruiting info available and the recent struggles he would most likely not give the U much love until they earned it. dlippiel just feels, he knows he is saying it again, that U will sneak up this year and have one of those memorible U years. To dlippiel anything short of NCAA birth is disappointing.

Looks like you'll be pretty disappointed...

Quite possibly the truth Dogg, yet us ducking futchmen fans have to hold this program to high expectations because if we don't who knows what'll happen to it. Seems as if the mediocre records at the U are becoming more and more tolerated and accepted. By the way, have fun with Endicott. Looks like we might have a barn burner over in Troy with this NEFC powerhouse. Can't remember a year when they had a decent shot at defeating RPI. dlippiel thinks this may be one... :D

MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Fans listening to Wisconsin football games on the radio this fall won't hear many beer ads for the first time in years.

The university has decided to end long-standing sponsorship agreements with MillerCoors and Anheuser-Busch InBev for Badgers sports broadcasts.

The deals brought the university $425,000 in revenue per year but were not renewed after a campus committee recommended ending them as part of its efforts to fight binge drinking.

Can someone tell me, how a radio commercial contributes to binge drinking?  I mean talk about a stretch!  The people totally wasted are the ones AT THE GAME or WATCHING it at home, not driving in their cars listening to the radio!!!

Secondly, is the person binge drinking really thinking to themself "You know, that commercial was right, this ML tastes great!...I should probably drink 45 more of them while tailgating and then do a couple keg stands before heading in with my flask of JD just because I love the flavor so much! YUM....Delicious!

And you have groups wanting to put health warning labels on hot dogs. The slope is getting very slippery.

It's probably about a week to early to do any kind of LL pick-ems but I thought I'd throw out the schedule for the first two weeks and see if anyone wanted to start talking.

1:00 pm Ithaca at St. Lawrence
1:00 pm Merchant Marine at Gallaudet
7:00 pm Salve Regina at WPI

Friday, September 11
7:00 pm WPI at Worcester State

Saturday, September 12
12:00 pm Hobart at Dickinson
