Drew Brees. I'm cool. I like my team.

With Colston, Adrian Peterson and Philip Rivers KS is pretty confident.

Anyone with Chad Pennington as their starting QB should not be bragging that their team is 'stacked'.

Dude, in an 18 team league, I'm lucky I even have a QB.  Not to mention, Chad Pennington last year threw 19 TDs vs. 7 INTs.  Efficiency wins you the LLPPFFL.  Check out week 1 projected points.  18 teams, LD has the most projected.  It's really just all science.

Just because your only decent position is Tom Brady at QB, and MAYBE Boldin, I wouldn't get too jazzed up.  I mean, Devin hester is your # 2 WR???

... it's science.

Gro was excited to see people pick up Westbrook and LT before Chris Johnson, Gro thinks he could be a top 5 RB and finding him at #10 was nice. Also snagged Ray Rice (thanks are in order to JT) and Leon Washington. Wish I had another quality RB but really don't need one if CJ and Rice stay healthy.

Top that with Ryan at QB, Jennings and Royal at WR, with Breaston and Percy Harvin backing them up... are there really 18 teams in this league? In the words of Brian Fantana "I'm very aroused"

Read this:

Looks like LD should have 3 teams to choose trades from for his RBs...

I have Derrick Ward s my back up to Forte

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

LJ will carry KC on his shoulders. Every thug gets a second shot at getting back to the top and this year will be his. dlip knows he done ****ed up with two D's, still has no recolection of drafting pitt but it'll work out. There was a long time between picks but dlip really enjoyed BSing during it so it was cool to wait. You ****ing guys are hilarious! Dr. Rosenpenis is going to surprise. Dlip will call it Shock and Awe or SHock and full of ****...whatever ;)

With the expansion of the league JT wasn't sure how the newbees were going to affect draft.  And going 30 or so picks in between created a lot of uncertainty of who would be left at various points.  So he adjusted his strategy.

JT would be happy with either Rice or Parker.

TGP thinks the LLPPFFL may end up like the NBA (i.e., you can finish 7th in your conference and still make the play-offs).

I too think that RPI should be throwing their junk on Endicott's collective forehead.  I was shocked by the comment in Kickoff that RPI could have trouble with them.

That being said, it is a tall task to replace a four year QB and your top receiver.  They really need Fil to step up early.

And I'm shocked that you think the following was some sort of indication that RPI could lose in that game:

"Capsule: Simply stated, the 2009 RPI Engineers football season is as unpredictable as it gets. It's not every day that a team loses such a huge asset like former quarterback Jimmy Robertson and his favorite target, receiver Eren Savasli. However, it is also not every day that a team brings back nine starters on offense. There is no doubt that offensively, RPI will likely take a slower start out of the gate than the Engineers saw in 2007 and 2008. Whether this will result in losses is anyone's guess, though, as the Engineers' schedule is somewhat stacked in the team's favor. RPI starts with [Endicott]College and Utica at home on Sept. 12 and 19, respectively, and waits until Oct. 31 and Nov. 7 before the team visits Union and Hobart. The season really will hinge on whether the team gels enough to win at least three out of its first four Liberty League matchups, leading up to the main rival games. With that equation, RPI would have a solid chance to win the Liberty League crown -- but RPI's defensive line must continue its 2008 domination (16.3 points per game allowed) for that to become a reality."

Just because you "take a slower start out of the gate" offensively doesn't mean you lose a game to an inferior team.  It just means you don't hang 50 on them necessarily.

- Frank

I think you just got suckered into giving away Kickoff for free. :)

Also, Union and RPI need to stagger those starts! That Ithaca/Endicott weekend has the makings of an ATN visit. (I might be the only one that cares though)

JT was conflicted over Willie Parker vs. Ray Rice.  Flipped a coin took Parker.  If Kenny Britt and Hakeem Nicks can bring camp performance into the season and Greene splits carries with Thomas Jones, JT will have a good bench.  Otherwise JT's bench is a gamble.

Sounds like a real New York/North Jersey-influenced roster you got there.

Its a about half who you may know as a player, and half how the players go in the draft.  Many times JT was watching his board get chewed up while waiting for his next pick.
