Gro, story confirmed...

LD11 partying at his old digs in Boston.  Our neighbors were all Rochester dudes.  Some 5'7" black kid comes in and in a typical drunken LD phase, I say 'Man there was this punk sh!t talking fool from Rochester that looked JUST like you.'  Dude pulls out his ID, it was him.  LD11 immediately calls Gro...Needless to say, he was a pretty cool dude.  It's one of those things where if someone is on your team, you like them, but if they are on the other team, you think they are the biggest d-bags of all time.  Kinda like Rodney Harrison...I'm pretty sure EVERYONE thought Reg was a d-bag, except us...

AJ, i'll one up your puke story...LD11 once proceeded to puke on everyone in our own huddle, including, but not limited to, Reg's sweet white and red Nike kicks...

Great point LD. Most of the time we all love the dude on our team talking ****, pissing off the opposition, and getting your squad pumped up. Yet we know when that mother****er is on the other team we ****in hate'em. Funny though I too have met players from other teams who I couldn't stand on the ice and I know definitely couldn't stand me (usually rightfully so) and ended up partying with them. They almost always ended up being pretty cool.

By the way Blount has been suspended for the entire season by head coach. He is done in 09.

Just heard an interview with the beatwriter from the Oregonian who said he heard some discussion that the kid from Boise dropped the race card.  If true, does that justify Blount's reaction?

Yes.
But not everything that he did after with trying to get into the stands and taking a swing at his own teammate!

I've been called a white boy, honky, cracker, milk, snow flake, you name it...I never went berzerk about it...Enough with the excuses, the guy is obviously a head case thug.  We may have found our next Maurice Clarette...Just another guy with talent, not understanding when to keep his mouth shut and be grateful for God given talent.

Check the video - Hout is surrounded by black BSU teammates!  Methinks he would not drop the n-word at that time!

While I'm not an expert lip-reader, to me it appears he said "Scoreboard, b!tch."  Hardly appropriate, but since Blount had been running his mouth about the "a$$-kicking" OU would lay on BSU, it kinda should be expected.

dlip can't concurr reno. Lagarette acted like a thug life Tupac wanna be and there is no excuse for his actions no matter what the Boise dude said. If the setting was different, sure. At a bar, kick his ass but after a college football game there is no place for that and no excuse no matter what. Plus dlip is quite sure this racial slur never happened. At some point there needs to be a line with players actions. This action was horse**** and Blout ends up looking like a horsecock and is done for the season.

Blout =

...dlip does hope Blout can get his **** together and come back next season grown up and have success.

Not sure if it was said yet, but it's official -- LeGarrette Blount (SR - Oregon) has been suspended for the remainder of the season, effectively ending his collegiate football career and potentially killing any NFL Draft hopes he had before last night.

When (presumably) his last collegiate game is 13 carries for -5 yards, then pulling a Maurice Clarette, I'd suggest waiting by the phone on draft day might be an exercise in futility! ;)

Special thanks to all of our "In the HuddLLe" listeners last night, and more thanks to those who participated during what ended up being a three-hour show.  If you missed the show last night, you can still listen to the archive at http://www.inthehuddlle.com and hear:

- Frank Rossi and Eric Ren reveal the Top 8 of '08 clips from "In the HuddLLe's" 2008 debut season;

- Interviews with a player from each of the LL schools (except SLU) surrounded by analysis of each school's 2009 chances in the LL;

- Added analysis from James Baker from Los Angeles, CA, and D3football.com's Pat Coleman from Minneapolis, MN, discussing the LL's possible outcomes on an intra-league and inter-league basis; and

- A special unscheduled guest who became a special friend of the show in 2008.

It's worth a listen (or a download to your portable media player through the numerous methods available on the website).  Thanks again for making the 2009 debut episode of "In the HuddLLe" a success -- and please join us on Sunday, Sept. 13 at 7:30pm EDT for our next show, when we analyze LL interleague play from the first two Saturdays of the regular season!

22-10 Bentley @ the half.  Dem Spicey Boys don't look too bad.  Not overmatched @ the LOS but the secondary has gotten burned on a couple of big plays.

Was really hoping the purple drank could pull the W. Sounds as if they were at least competitive. Final was like 40 something to 17. Hopefully purple drank looked decent throughout.

43-17 final Bentley over Curry.

Impressions:

Score really not totally indicative of game.. Bentley with TD after pick then a pick six to put it away early in 3Q.. Curry secondary was a bit outmatched.. QB for Curry not able to make any plays with his feet like last year's QB.. Curry had only really one solid drive to start game.. front 7 for Curry played well..16-10 for most of 1st half then Bentley scored with < min to close out half..Bentley scored on first offensive playfrom scrimmage with ~ 70 passing TD.. Bentley was not really all that successful running ball.. starters were out for Bentley at start of 4th.. Curry really agressive with D scheme..blitzed 75% of time mostly OLB's.. Curry knocked Bentley QB (on blitz) out of game in 1st Q.. came back in middle of 2nd Q.. punter for Curry was very good..noticeable but not huge talent difference mostly in WR's of Bentley vs secondary of Curry.

All in all sad to see the score so lopsided for the D3 crowd essentially going up against a middle of the road D2 opponent..although again the game was not as bad as the score indicates.  Still think from what the Stim has seen of NEFC competition they will be near or at the top.  Predict Bentley will scuffle (.500?) in their league.

By the way, I love how every curse word gets bleeped out EXCEPT "horsecock."

That's awesome.

Unfortunately, Max thinks it's still a bigger deal to drop the n-bomb than any of the insults you mention... historical stigma etc etc

More unfortunately, Max would bet (if it did happen) it's not the first time Blount heard it in his life, nor will it be the last. Max thinks the level of maturity we saw from Blount (or lack thereof) is what separates a lot of college athletes from their peers... You gotta be able to let that stuff roll off your back sometimes.

EDIT: Just noticed your caption there LD.... ouch.

If U89 played in the same era as LD, U89 would have called LD a, "Non-engineering, Honky, Horsecock".
