Regulator: Can you recap what happened at the awards ceremony last night?  TDT was watching the football game....

I caught it this morning on the news.  He just got up on stage when taylor swift (you have her record, right TDT?) was accepting her award and grabbed the mic and made a scene about how good Beyonce's video was. (As in she should be up here rather than you Taylor)

Back stage he went into a mad rant about how the whole thing is rigged.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_-631TgPP2s

Swift's "You Belong With Me" clip beat out Beyonce's "Single Ladies" in the
best female video category.
As Swift, 19, was expressing her thanks for the honor, West took the stage,
grabbed the microphone away from her and proclaimed Beyonce's video one of the
best of all time. His behavior prompted booing from the crowd.

Usmagazine.com said Swift told reporters after the show she didn't intend to
hold a grudge against West, who the magazine said was seen drinking from a
Hennessy liquor bottle throughout the night.
"I don't want to start anything because I had a great night tonight," Swift
said.
Upon later winning the evening's top award for video of the year for "Single
Ladies," Beyonce invited Swift back on stage to finish her acceptance speech.

*** at least beyonce has some class and style...

NICE...pink was stopped by security as she went after west...

Pink, who reportedly was stopped by security as she tried to tell West what she
thought of him in person, Tweeted: "Kanye West is the biggest piece of

sweet and talented girl and deserved her moment."

I can't take smack talk serious from a program I consider beneath IC.

Besides, NNR has extra axes to grind with JoseQ because the high school team he coaches can't beat JQV's alma mater.

Union Dutchmen catapulted to a #22 national ranking. Well is dlip happy? Absolutely, but all he can say is baby steps here, baby steps. Congrats to the U for a great start to 09 and let's get focused and ready for the Mules. Needless to say this is going to be a long and very challenging season. If the U loses focus or becomes in any way complacent kiss it goodbye. Great jobs boys keep it up! We believe in U.
Agree small steps 1 game at a time here are some thoughts for this week match up vs Muhlenberg ..

Muhlenberg's defense
will be similar to last season and be very good. They have lost 4 starting players to graduation their leading tackler Rathbum he and 3 other seniors accounted for 160 tackles, 25.5  tackles for loss, 6 sacks  9 picks and 16 pass break ups.   Their defensive unit is the strength of the team and only allowed 109 YPG rushing and 154.2 YPG passing last season. Union rushed for 43 and passed for 141 last year. This year vs. Wilkes they held them to 80 yards rushing and 181 passing in a 12 to 14 loss in game 1, that being said a solid defensive unit.

The area of interest is Muhlenberg's offense, (very similar to Ithica with a new QB and 3 new OL starters) also how good is freshman running back Terrence Dandridge he rushed 29 time for 120 yards vs. Wilkes and freshman QB Justin Kreamer seemed to played well against Wilkes, he went 30 – 17 for 212 yards but had 3 picks (freshman first game) in a 14 -12 loss.

The key weapons in the pass game are:
         Catches     Yards      Long
Phil Cresta                6         80          36
Steve Liparini          4         49          20
MJ Rus                     3         25          11
Bobby Bushong           2         41          35
Terrence Dandridge     2         29          22

The concern is the long ball they had 4 balls over 20 yards.

Union's offense seemed to pick up where it left off last week, last season they rushed for 177.3 YPG and passed for 201.6 YPG on average. (vs. Ithica they rushed for 177 and passed 175 against a very good defense) Connolly is now a sophomore with 6 starts behind him (Ithica, Hobart, RPI etc.) he will continue to improve on his passing efficiency rating from last season average of  134.88, Coney is now a junior last season he average 142 YPG . The receiving core has sophomore Gallo and senior Gourrier back, Gourrier also runs the wildcat O when necessary.

Union D last season allow 132.7 YPG rushing and 208.7 YPG passing on average. Last week U D allowed 144 rushing with a 59 yard broken play and 175 passing. Union's LB's  & DB's cover the 6 2" #11 VOSSLER and #37 L. BAUMGARTNER out of the back for Ithica. Union's D-Line introduce themselves to Mr. Grastorf last week with 2 sacks and several hurries and knock downs.

Special team's needs to say focused and execute like last week.

My thoughts for this week are that the D will pressure the QB to force errors from the young QB, forcing early throws etc. Also they will be tougher on the run holding Dandridge to under 100 yards.  UNION 31 Muhlenberg 17
