in reality most of the press would ask the question knowing full well how it would be answered but have to ask it anyway

Agreed. You have to ask that question.

JT would have rolled with... Given that it was proven statistically impossible for you to have won the election, why did you crack down on your own citizens and kill dozens of innocent people?

I hope JT would have had at least a regiment of marines around him when he asked that. ;)

A regiment yes, but short by the one platoon holding down the Berkeley front (3:10 - 3:30!).

HUGE win for the Dutchmen, nice to see them pick themselves up after the Bombers stormed back in the fourth. Survived that heart attack, then watched my Wolverines try to give me another one.

Mules will be tough next week, but a good start for UColl. U89, nice prediction. +1 on the DLIP comments, sitting next to Fiji since 1984 very strong.

Doid,
Nice weekend for you.....I just wish your G-Men went down.

Plus, you win $10 from the Wooden Guy......that's icing on the cake.

Problem is, Wooden Guy doesn't do anything for under 1G nowadays, so won't even have his secretary send me a check.

U89, you've got company on the come from behind victorys last week, Dutchmen and Wolverines in classic finishes, and G-Men and J-E-T-S rolling. You got a cheapy with the Pats, the Elf must have thrown his fake teeth at the flat screen after that one. Throw in Ohio State losing, and not sure I've had a better weekend.

Just scored tix for the Cowboys-Gints game Sunday night, gotta see the big screen for myself.

Scared of the Mules,  especially in PA. Think U can pull it out, but it's going to be tough to get back up after the big win vs. the Cornbombers.

All kidding aside, here's an annual refresher of how you can listen to and view Union Football games this season, starting with tomorrow's opener at Frank Bailey Field against #8 Ithaca:

Radio:

There are expected to be two options this season for radio.  All games, not just road games, will be broadcast on a wide-ranging commercial station -- 1160AM WABY-Mechanicville, a station that reaches the Saratoga region down to the Albany region.  Frank Rossi, Tom Santa Barbara and Alex Audino will bring you the action (with Carm Audino joining them later in the season as time allows since he is now the head football coach of Catholic High in the Capital District).

In addition, it is expected that 89.7FM WRUC-Schenectady (Union's student-run station) will simulcast the games -- although this is not 100% definite.  However, WRUC has a very narrow range and should only be used by listeners on campus.

Internet Audio:

The main feed will be from WABY's web server -- located at http://saratogamoon.com.  Click the "Listen" button near the top of the page.  Should this not function, open Windows Media Player, hit "Control-U" to open a URL box, and type in:  http://shoutatme.com:7264/

Historically, that feed has had some issues -- and we invite you to also go to http://teamline.cc for another online audio option.  Union's team code, ironically, is 1160.

Enjoy the game, and remember that we are interactive -- Email us at rossif@yahoo.com with any questions, comments or concerns during the broadcast.  Thanks.

- Frank

Sorry for my MIA status this week.  I'll be back with insights all week next week.  Here are the listening options for LL/Union fans this week.  We've fixed our main audio issues from last week.  No Union-based video since it's a road game this week.

I'll be watching the boards during the game, so feel free to post any comments here or email me at rossif@yahoo.com during the game.

Here are a couple audio clips from the Ithaca/Union last weekend.

There IS Muhlenberg video, although it appears that there is no audio on the video feed, if the info on the Mules' football page is correct.  Here is the Windows Media Player address:

I'm not sure how in-sync our audio will be with the video -- however, we always advocate opening our audio with the video streams simultaneously.

Frank.....Teamline is not working.

From an article on the Golden Gophers giving students that get kicked out of the stadium breath tests:

"It is aimed primarily at fans who get blitzed at tailgate parties before entering the Golden Gophers' brand-new TCF Bank Stadium."

"Blitzed" is in AP parlance now?

It's funny how football works out. Last week the Union Dutchmen were on top of the world and today, after a dismal dismal performance and some injuries, Union must feel awful as a result of their poor performance. The Mules honestly should have/could have won by more. Today was a very very poor day for the Dutchmen all around. Let's hope these guys can refocus, have a very hard, effective week of practice, and come back strong next week. Aside from this dlip does not know what else to say. dlip is afraid if he says anymore he will regret it. Let's take a night, reflect and maybe come back tomorrow with some positives for the future. **** today hurts! By the way congrats to Bart for bouncing back and again, ****in RPI pulls it out. They do this **** every year. Play like **** early and then bring it on when it counts. No doubt in dlips mind this Engineer team will continue to grow and develop, especially with the play of their QB.

Side rant.

Tim Tebow's a good kid and a great football player, but does anyone else think his rah rah attitude is going to be totally ridiculed in the pros?

He has spent 4 years at UF to be able to lead the way he wants.  NFL is a different story and I am sure he is smart enough not to start out that way if he gets the chance.
