EDIT:  Of course, Snopes.com says this is not true.     http://www.snopes.com/movies/actors/costner.asp

Not sure who Snopes' sources are but, I have heard that rumor re-told around people that would know if it was true or not and never heard it refuted.

Just saying...

Quote from: dlippiel on September 21, 2009, 03:52:07 PMDude it was just a tough game to watch. The Mules deserved a lot of credit but U was a totally different team than the previous week. U89 said it best that if they played Ithaca the way they played the Mules the bombers would have won by at least 3-4 TD's. The D, dlip thought played decent, the O was just not there. Two early picks, getting stuffed on the run (Coney had 60 I think). dlip saw both him and Kyle Holmes go off hurt. Saw Coney return but don't know about Kyle. dlip thinks U just read the papers and came in to high and lost focus. First dlip believes the Mules are a good team but feels U should/could have won the game if they played to their potential. Anyway the kids did play hard and dlip thinks/hopes this will be a huge lesson for them. It's funny how the game of football plays out. So up one week and so down the next. Anyway dlip was riding last weeks emotion as well and just got very frustrated watching the game. Let's hope this weekend turns out better. U of R is going to be pumped.

Ummmm....you wanna go back and edit that post DLip?  There isn't one **** in the whole thing.  Why risk your unprecedented streak of getting *ed in every post?

It's like watching Ripken roll into the skipper's office and ask for a day off.

U89 was just thinking.....U89 could be the only dude in all of Post Patterns who enjoyed his favorite teams thrilling last minute victories (Union & New England Patriots).

On the flip side of it, tough weekend to be a Bomber fan from Buffalo.....honestly, not a jab....just an interesting parallel.

Wow....how quickly one's world can be flipped 180 degrees...... >:(

****ing flip for sure U89. dlip can't even tell you how many times he almost tossed the laptop out the ****in window during the game!

Nice story re Hobart OT Anthony Catalano and other Hobart student athletes raising money to support the Wounded Warrior Project.

As part of the project Hobart is going to sport these camo unis next weekend at home vs. SLU.

You can support the WWP by purhcasing one of these limited jerseys or other football merch online @ www.shopgraph-tex.com

TGP has his order in.

How is that not an advantage over the competition?  Does SLU get to wear uni's made from turf?

I'm not so sure it's a total advantage to the home team.  How will the QB be able to see his receivers?  On the other hand, the visiting O-line might have trouble finding whom to block.

Did any of you guys ever have a "holy **** I'm lucky," moment? dlip, wife, and in-laws just picked up our crib for the baby. After, as my in-laws are pulling out of the driveway, dlip is walking back towards to house after taking his garbage to the curb and looks at his house. He looks around and sees a light on with his wife standing in the window holding the cat waving. dlip stopped and thought to himself, "man with all the **** going on in the world, to have ones health, family, home, job, and friends is amazing." Felt seriously ****ing thankful and definitely had a moment there. Gotta be thankful for what the **** you've got and smile. +k to the LLPP tonight just for being the ****in LLPP!

On a side note what is with ****in ball players showing hand (gang, whatever the ****) signs when they are shown on TV after making big plays. Saw the VT QB get a Vid shot after his TD against the Cornhuskers and what the **** does he do? Flashes some ****in hand sign. WTF  ??? can someone please explain that **** to dlip! It is some of the most childesh **** dlip has seen.

It's official, LD11's team just eclipsed the 200 mark in his $$$ FF league.  I'm pretty much the nastiest team anyone has ever seen.
