KS would guess the beer.  KS found in his travels while in the Navy that beers from certain countries had an amazing secondary use as a laxative.   One that worked extremely well was an Israeli beer, KS can't remember the name but it sounded like WWIII breaking out in the head the next morning with all the explosions.

Hilarious.  TGP hasn't been to Korea but has experienced similiar events.

So TGP's lived in LA for 10+ years - seen fires, felt earthquakes but never was so startled as TGP was last night at 2:30 AM when a gigantic tree branch landed on our roof.  Damn thing actually punctured thru the bed room ceiling but fortunately didn't break anything (other than the roof) like the flat screen.

Looks like TGP will be on the horn soon with the tree service and the roofing guys.

TGP is lucky.  SF was at a house party on July 4th when a huge tree branch fell from a tree that had to be 150 years old.  It went through the house next door... and the house had to be condemned.  Luckily the family wasn't home.

dispensing karma so LD doesn't accuse SF of being the sniper.  +K except for TDT, who gets his usual negative karma.

Has anyone checked on gro?  Those floods in the area look nasty

The Rev is sitting here in Language Arts class (1 pm Korea time) looking at LLPP when all of a sudden, The Rev is wondering if he'll be able to make it home before unloosing a destructive tsunami of molten turd.

This is not a comfortable moment.  I can't even finish reading LLPP.

oofahh...not good...+k for trying to make it home...did u make it? or pull the nyc homeless person move and find the nearest doorway to squat in?

pbr, you sound like you know what you're talking about.

OK, OK... SF is guilty too... golf course (furthest point out)... 7 years ago

pbr has seen many homeless person stop-drop-flop a hunk right on the city sidewalks...even seen some squat w/ pants still up then reach in the back of their pants and pull out the log and fling it and keep walking...cities are interesting places where you see all kinds of things and never ceases to amaze pbr

This ish happens more often than people think.   The best time is when they do it right in front of NYC tourists.  The shock and awe is soooo funny.

Probably the most creative homeless guy JT ever saw was when they still had parking meters in NYC (now they have that main thing that spits out tickets to put on your dash).  He'd circle the heavy meter traffic areas offering four quarters for a dollar.  Once you made the swap, he'd ask for one quarter.  Its already in your hands and he provided a service.  25% on every successful deal.

phew not sure what to say here...stupid is as stupid does...

IMPERIAL, Mo.,  Sept. 22 (UPI) -- Alcohol allegedly was a
factor in the death of a Missouri man who shot himself in the
head while teaching his girlfriend firearm safety, police said.
James Looney, 40, of Imperial shot himself while
demonstrating the safety mechanisms on three guns, Sheriff
Glenn Boyer told KSDK-TV, St. Louis, in a story aired Tuesday.
Looney put two guns to his head and pulled the triggers to
show his girlfriend they would not fire with the safety catch
in place, witnesses said.
The third gun fired, Boyer said, adding deputies believed
Looney had been drinking.
Looney had planned to take his girlfriend to a shooting
range the next day but insisted on her learning firearm safety
the day before, Boyer said.

This rain has hammered the Atl area.  I actually live on the Chattahoochie (just inside Cobb Co), but we haven't had problems here as much as west (Austell area) and south Atl.

Feel a bit better about Bart after Sat (I was at a Mtn house and had to go down to a little coffee shop in this hippie town in NC, Brevard, with my lapto to listen to the game - pretty funny scene).  Vella improved quite a bit.  If he's the guy, and it looks like he is, don't bring Earl in.  Muratori stepping up is important, but the receivers still dropped a number of passes (though I hear Vella overthrows short and mid range passes with respect to velocity).  Another red-zone fumble, which has gotten no mention.  This game is over if they hold on a punch it in with first and goal from the six.  I still hate the play calling and lack of confidence in the run game.  Marlier has proven that with 15 - 20 carries he'll break his share of 7+ yarders and gets stronger as the game goes on.  8 carries each for Marlier and Tritten isn't enough against a strong pass D.  Defense played markedly better.  Something like 6-7 tackles for a loss, CMU held to 2.5 yds/carry and RB's getting hit right around the LOS on nearly every play.  Interesting to see FR Klindera, who someone on the OAC board thought highly of, get some run and pick up a couple of tackles.  Still don't like that Woodard is the #2 tackler, but that may be in part because he's that special a talent as much as any deficiencies on the DLine.  Considering the rest of the league Sat., it feels much more wide open.  SU lost to a team that I doubt is improved over last year and their first two opponents are looking particularly weak.  WPI does this every year, so we'll see.  Union got beat by maybe the #3 or #4 in the CC, gave up a lot to the RB and their O was shaky.  Should be hard for RPI to feel great about a win (nonetheless a W) against what's likely no better than the #4 in the E8 (if your talking about contending for the LL title unless everyone here thinks the E8 is head and shoulders better this year, but the IC/Union game should put that to rest early).  It really looks like the team that plays best on the road wins the league, which sets up best for Union and worst for RPI.

On another note, PA is doing a fantasy league that's starting late for the first time.  Draft is tonight and I don't have any idea what I"m doing.  Any suggestions from the LLPP pros here?  LewDogg what's you recipe for success?

Always depends on when you draft.  It's never too early to get the guy you want...(i.e. - took Chris Johnson at 6 - so far so good)  RBs are key.  Either get a top 4 QB(Brees, Brady, Rodgers, Manning) or wait...Don't waste a 6th round on Big Ben or some other turd.  You can get a Hasslebeck(hurt now) or Schaub/Eli/Edwards/Warner later on...

And this year, don't fear the tight end...I started Carlson AND Dallas Clark in my other league.  it's deep, and in a PPR league TE's are nice this year.

And as DLIP says, don't draft 2 defenses.  I usually pick my kicker and D in the last 2 rounds, and just matchup play them each week.

pumkinattack

I was thinking Celek at TE or Witten, but not until the 6th round or so.  It's only a 6 team league.  If Cutler isn't a good FF QB, does that mean Forte should score well?  I feel like the WR's overall are weak, but that there's a surplus of quality RB's.  Won't know the draft order until late.  My flyer pick late is Joey Galloway.  What the hell does BN mean?

It means Bench.  Forte is over-rated me thinks.  Andre Johnson is easily the top WR.  Moss isn't bad either.  If you pick Joey Galloway you should be banished from LLPP for life.
