LD has a little dude's trip scheduled for Saturday.  Going to see the Zac Brown Band in Charlotte.  It is going to be what some may call a sh!t show.  Today can't come to an end quick enough.

Thanks Lew (and anyone else with suggestions).  It it makes you feel better about the FF consulting service you provided, I'm playing against a group of bankers I know in NYC.  I assume you'd all like me to run up the score on these guys.  One of them took Rivers as a backup and is already offering him in a trade.  I don't know how you do it in a 17 team league and not end up with Rae Carruth on your roster.

On the LL front, this is going to be a really interesting week for RPI, WPI, SU and Bart.  I really think Union is going to crush UofR and if Roch wins I think it says more about Union's prospects than UofR's ability to contend.  The loser of the other two are still in it, but are starting off in a hole.  I know others think the winner could have 2 conference losses, but I still think one will emerge either undefeated or with one loss (probably one).  I think, in general, both Hobart and RPI have tended to improve throughout the season and this year will be no different considering the personnel replacement at both.

Closed circuit to Gro,

I have to be in Nashville for a mediation next week and have an event I have to make it back for the same night.  How long is the drive from downtown Nashville to the airport going to take me and how early do I need to be in the airport?  Give me some dirt on travelling in Music City

BNA (most obscure airport code, ever) is a terrific airport for a large city. Never had any problems there with wait times or security, so your trip back should be a breeze. You could probably show up 1 hour before your flight and be ok. Sounds like you won't have any checked bags so if you check in online and have your boarding pass printed then even less than 1 hour would be ok.

Downtown is a 10-15min trip from the airport, all interstate. There's some rush hour slowdowns but you're from Tampa so you're used to that.

No problem. Now, can you write up some legal statement that absolves me of all blame if you miss your flight?

That's my job as LL General Counsel.  If you leave it to E8 Counsel, you'll find "Saterday" and "Ithica" spelled differently in the document... And you might be fooled to give over your supply of purple drank in the agreement.  Those E8ers are shifty... Why do you think Norwich bailed on them??

PBR...

Counselor are we still doing halftime for WPI? let dlip know. He understands if something came/comes up and/or a better guest, but dlip is still interested and excited. He will be well prepared. It will be a first to talk D3 FB for dlip using clean language but there is always a first for everything  ;). Big game this weekend for the Garnet boys. Hearing this week they are very focused and working hard to take care of buisness on Saturday. Funny, but a W and some continuous soldi play could propel the U forward through the LL season. To dlip there is no question this team has the potential to run the table in the LL but wheter it happens or not is going to be another story. dlip feels there are two other teams who may be able to do the same, can anyone guess? Here is a hint...Pumpkins and ****in Red.

Huge weekend in the LL.....no one will be punching their ticket to a championship, but some teams can take HUGE steps backward and put themselves behind the 8-Ball.

Speaking of 8-balls.... a Troy-native basketballer is in some trouble.  So the scholly wasn't enough, you had to deal some ya-yo on the side?

New column's up!

"The ball ended up in the holder's hands, who pulled a Garo Yepremian, trying to throw a pass."

Pulitzer material.  Seriously.

It's the best way to describe that play... :)

Any 'Bart fans making the trip to lovely Selinsgrove this weekend? If so, let me know - I can recommend some grub for you.

But if you're not, you can still catch the game online: http://www.b2livetv.com/partner_members.asp?id=297&s=4183&stype=Sports%20Football%20Men%27s

Have a large family contingent meeting halfway for the Susq game in a few weeks.. in other words would love to hear your recommendations for food.

Two years ago when in Selinsgreove for the first time I was stunned to learn there are no stores to buy a few beers before the game. I was directed to a bar if I needed beer??

Stopped in to a small store and asked where I might go to get a sub.  Woman looked at me cross-eyed and after defining what a sub was she asked her coworker where I could get a sandwich at this time of day...

It was 12 noon

Ah yes, well, more like "funny state that Pennsylvania" when it comes to the beer. If you want to buy beer, you either get a six pack at the bar or you can buy a case at a beer distributor. Now, the state recently did relent a bit and now select grocery stores can carry beer under certain conditions. There is now a grocery story in Sunbury, right across the river, that has one of these new-fangled setups.

Now, I'm not sure why someone was confused by you wanting a sub... there's a "Selinsgrove Sub Shop" right here in town... or by you wanting a sandwich at noon. What store did you stop in????

Anyway, as for the good stuff: grub. My utmost recommendation is BJ's on Market St., right up from campus. It's a "pit barbecue and pub" - lots of steak, sandwiches, barbecued items, etc. If you go, you must try the Bongo-Bongo Dip as an appetizer. And if you're not driving, you must have a Bomber or a Toxic Waste (depending on your taste in drinks - the Bomber is red and a bit more fruity, the TW is green and more citrusy). Emphasis on the "if you're not driving" part, though, because they both have nine different liquors and come out in a gigantic glass... on fire!

If you're looking for just a sandwich and coffee, there's either the Campus Cafe or the Kind Cafe, also on Market St. and across from BJ's. The Kind Cafe has odd hours, so I'm not entirely sure they'd be open after the game.

If you go up 11/15, there's several of your basic chain restaurants - Applebee's, Denny's, Garfield's (inside the mall), Friendly's. And if you want some fine dining, there's Tedd's Landing up at the 11/15 split. Or if you're into some barbeque, Skeeter's BBQ is up the hill behind Tedd's.

But yeah, if you want the real Selinsgrove experience that all SU alumni still drool about in their dreams, go to BJ's. Seriously, I have friends who are jealous that I live in Selinsgrove because they think I eat there every night. Would be nice....
