Nice work JT.  That guy is probably someone that would throw his own mother down the stairs if it meant making two dollars.

Todays WTF! News Item of the Day.

OK ... after seeing the pic of his girlfriend I sort of understand about the calves.

Another example of why I could never be a 21st Century journalist.

Outrage!

Headline: Judge Dismisses Animal Cruelty Charges Against Police Officer Robert Melia for Sex with Cows

Oh, by the way, . . .

Buried in the story: [Melia], along with girlfriend Heather Lewis, was arrested in April 2008 for sexually assaulting three girls over a five-year-period.

Calling Dr. Lew and any other FF studs,

I switched out LT for Ray Rice for Sat (Knowshon is questionable), but I was wondering if I should swap out Colston (vs. the Bills) for either Roy Williams (va. Carolina) or Hines Ward (vs. Cin).

Thoughts?

Go  LL!  (I'll be listening to Bart at the GT-UNC game)

Off to Charlotte.  God luck to all today...

Gro, hook a brother up with some updates.  Or if you decide to be a man, meet me in Charlotte.  Nooge.

10 pm Saturday night, Korea time.  The Rev is finally conscious and has only a mild headache.  Earlier attempts to wake up were aborted due to a brain that felt like throbbing wet cement.

Thanks for the photo of The Rev with lampshade over my head.  The Rev has to admit there were no fit birds out last night, hence the need to cover my eyes.

Now The Rev is ready to stay up all night and listen to the Hobart v Susq game.

Union vs. Rochester

Union faithful have to look for the team to re-focus itself tonight vs. Rochester.  Rochester is sporting 9-10 new starters, mostly underclassmen with limited or no experience. UR offense looks good Clarence Onyiriuka seems to be their only run threat while QB's Patrick Keegan Jr and Braezen Subick So., are look strong going to;

RECEIVING            GP  No.  Yds   Avg  TD Long Avg/G
------------------------------------------------------
Pedro Sosa            2   11  118  10.7   0   20  59.0
Mike Coolbaugh        2   11   89   8.1   1   12  44.5
Clarence Onyiriuka    2    7  117  16.7   3   57  58.5

Elvis Njoku           2    7   85  12.1   1   41  42.5
Adam Barrett          2    4   75  18.8   0   32  37.5

2009 Team Stats
Category       Union    Rochester
Scoring          15.5 avg.   23.5 avg.
Scoring Defense    19.0 avg.   40.0 avg.
First Downs       32       38
Rushing Attempts    74       59
Rushing- Net/Avg.    301/ 150.5   146/ 73.0
Rushing - Defense/Avg.    337/ 168.5   73/141.5
Passing - Yards/Avg.    316/ 158.0   538/ 269.0
Passing - Defense/Avg.    238/ 119.0   590/ 295.0
Total Offense/Avg.    617/ 308.5   684/ 342.0
Total Defense/Avg.    575/ 287.5   873/ 436.5

Defense and special teams will be the key for both teams.  Union needs to put pressure on the QB to force errors while stuffing UR running attack which (averages 2.5 yard per carry), if they can stuff the run and apply pressure to the QB's UR will have a long night. No breakdown on special teams this week!!!! Union got dinged up last week and will have a couple new faces tonight whom need to step up and execute.

The Union's offense should be able to run and pass creating issues for the UR defense. Connolly should have time in the passing game to stretch the inexperience UR Defense which has allowed an avg of 295 YPG so far this year vs Union pass defense which has only avg. 119 YPG

Union 28 over Rochester  17

The Rev was having trouble getting the feed.  Had to switch over to Internet Explorer.  Now the game is on and The Rev is watching.  The Rev turned the sound down on the video.  Listening to WEOS fed because the sound quality is much better.

Let's go U today out at U of R with a 6pm start. dlip sees the keys to this game as the following:

U Offense: Tonight starts with the line. Last week they were unable to open enough running room for Coney to be effective. Coney himself needs to come in more focused, and Drew is going to need to more time in the pocket and some one on one coverage to exploit the U of R defense. Last week Muhlenburg clearly disrupted the U focus taking away the run and contributed to Connelly making some poor decisions. U recievers need to run thorough routes and ALWAYS expect the ball. This week if the line allows too much penatration the U O may be in for another struggle scoring points.

U Defense: Played a decent game last week but penalties and broken coverage hurt them in the long run. The D-Line needs to have sustained pressure tonight. Without it the small secondary is left out in the cold. Secondary seemed to have some moments last week with pics and showed it is capable. Yet here in 09 there must be saftey help making appropriate reads to assist the DB's in coverage. LB's must finish tackles and stay home (at times) and clog up the middle to stop the U of R run. If the D tackles well today and keeps the U of R O on its heels and U may have a solid day.

U Special Teams: Please, please cover today on kickoffs! For the past two seasons this group has allowed momentum to come and go faster than the ****ing weather changes on top of Mt. Washington. This unit (kickoff) is loaded with solid athletes and smart football players. They must execute and have solid coverage. dlip feels last weeks game was lost on the kick return after half. Get hungry here U and take care of buisness. As far as extra points and kicking U has improved ten-fold thus far. Keep it up.

Closing: Us U fans are very passionate and always support our players. We feel this team (even with adversity) has the potential to be special. Today is a big test and one this team must pass if it hopes to contend for an LL title. dlip has said this before and will say it again, week #1 means **** if we don't continue to grow and raise our expectations. Go Union!
