PBR...

amen to that PA....well said. its exactly why pbr doesnt go the political boards on here anymore in a long time. Got to the point of reminding pbr of his kids nursery school where some kids would stand in the corner of the same room and scream out loud and never listen to anyone....got to be like a bunch of 4 year olds over there on the political boards. pbr likes good discussion and learning but some people get so wound up in insisting they are right and no one else can ever be right or have a good idea its ridiculous. pbr has found good political boards/chats where its great all opinions are discussed and encouraged. no 4 year olds standing in the corner screaming i am right...i am right...i am right...politics gets people so wound they can never step back and listen and look at the whole picture.

Please can we keep the ****in political **** off here! dlip won't even go near the ****in political boards anymore because people are ****in nuts!

U89, dlip thinks you are right about the top teams perception of the East and really if they did or do feel this way could we blame them? It's a good point that maybe some of us (definitely me) don't really like to face.

All Moore had to say was something like this.... This country provides me with the benefits to do what I want to do, when and how I want do it.  I can speak my mind without fear of retribution from the government.  I can show the imperfections within my country and still love it.  It has also given me an income to live my life the way I want.

To even say that he has not benefited is typical of his type. In fact, JT would venture that if Moore got everything he wished for politically in his movies, he wouldn't be able to make his movies.

JT was calling Moore out for being an azz (an LLPP thing), Dr. Lew made it political.

On to more important things... for those of you that pray please send a few towards the Philippines.  JT has got family there.  They were hit last week with a month of rain in 12 hours.  Now a typhoon is bearing down on them.  All are currently well [physically] but still trying to dig out from last week.

Its a good thing that a $1 US is about $47 peso.  Those here in America can help them rebuild.  I hope their neighbors have the same help.  This may be JT's next project.  JT also has workers in the Philippines that do web work for him.  Somehow JT has to find three weeks off or so to actually meet family soon.

WPI vs Union preview:

WPI comes into Frank Bailey with a 3-1 (0-1 LL) record after their loss to RPI last week at WPI. Union heads home sporting a 2-1 (1-0 LL) record coming off a last minute victory over U of R out in Rochester. Both teams would do well to add a conference win here. A W would put WPI at 500 and gain momentum carrying into conference play. Union looks to go 2-0 in the LL and desperately needs confidence as well as an identity heading into Hobart the following week.

WPI Offense: This offense thus far has been quite efficient and effective. The question mark here (which is the same ? as every year for WPI going into league play) is the strength of their competition and wins. Their first test last week at home vs RPI did not go very well. WPI managed to score some points but was handed a loss by the Engineers. WPI has outscored opponents 144-62 averaging 36.0 ppg. WPI avgs 221.8 yards on the ground having scored 14TD's and 186.8 in the air scoring 5TD's respectively. In regards to league play WPI ranks 1st in the LL in total offense and 1st in the LL in rushing.

WPI Defense: WPI gives up 15.5 ppg allowing 154.2 yds per game and 164.2 through the air. As a Defense they have given up 9TDs in 09. In the league the Bizarroneers are ranked 4th in total defense and 2nd in scoring defense.

Thoughts on WPI: Well every year this team starts strong but plays against **** competition. This year has been more of the same with the lone somewhat impressive W coming against a Salve Regina team that may...may challenge Plymouth State and the Purple Drank for the NEFC title. This team is almost always a question mark. Yet this year the Dutch were given some idea as to the Bizarroneers prowess or lack there of from the result of their loss to RPI last week. RPI comes into week 5 sporting a #3 ERFP ranking which gives WPI some credibility in their hard fought effort in the loss last week. WPI could not handle RPI Fresh QB Mike Hermanan and couldn't put up enough points on O to offset RPI. From this dlip feels that even with the loss WPI has the potential to come into Frank Bailey and leave with a W if Union does not play and execute the way they can. WPI has a nasty QB in Sr Mike Swanton who is both a threat in the air and especially on the ground. Swanton is 49-93 with 2 int and 4td in the air and 41-239 with 4TD's on the ground. This kid is very athletic and can kill a D if he is left unchecked. Others to mention: RB Ernie Mello (39-209-4TDs), RB Aaron Champagne (35-195-4TDs), Back-up QB Pat McAvley (13-195-1TD on the ground). R.C. Grady WR 249yds and 2 TDs avg 15.6 ypg and Nick Bean 133 yards 0TDS avg 11.1ypg. The Bizarroneers have some talent on the O side of the ball and some strength on the defensive side.

Union LL rankings: The Dutch come in ranked 5th in the LL in total offense. They are 2nd in passing and 6th in rushing respectively. On defense the U is 4th in total D and 2nd in scoring D.

Prediction: WPI gives U a very tough game but Audino's boys know they must come out of this night home game with a W. Swanton will give U some fits early but will not be able to keep up with Unions skilled offense thoughout 4 quarters. Unions secondary must make proper reads and not bite on Swantons running because as stated earlier he can/will hurt them through the air if they make mistakes. As usual the Union D will need to get some pressure which will be harder with the absence of Charles Hovespian on the d-line. LB's must also stay home and make Swanton beat them in the air. If Swanton is unable to get the run going because of tough U D and Union forces the pass, Swanton will struggle when Unions secondary can predict the pass. Union comes out on top 34-21.
