So Michael Moore, a multi-millionaire film director/producer, is pimping his newest crappy anti-American flick and says capitalism didn't do anything for him.  Yeah, and all those Big Mac's didn't make him fat slob.

You really think he hates America, or is just brutally honest in pointing out some of the obvious flaws?

He takes full advantage of the gifts that this country offers, then puts out hate America crap filled with falsehoods and spin.  He's entitled to do what he wants, but pretending that capitalism did nothing for him, is completely disingenuous.

This is my biggest beef with him.

On to more important things... for those of you that pray please send a few towards the Philippines.  JT has got family there.  They were hit last week with a month of rain in 12 hours.  Now a typhoon is bearing down on them.  All are currently well [physically] but still trying to dig out from last week.

Will do JT, dlip will be hoping for the best here and will say some prayers for your fam. Keep your head up dude. By the way didn't mean to be forward about the politics stuff but after dlips experience on the Political Boards he just likes to stay away from that **** here.

Done, bro.

Its a good thing that a $1 US is about $47 peso.  Those here in America can help them rebuild.  I hope their neighbors have the same help.  This may be JT's next project.  JT also has workers in the Philippines that do web work for him.  Somehow JT has to find three weeks off or so to actually meet family soon.

Dude, U89 has gotten to know you over the past 6 years......you have an ulterior motive beside seeing family in the Philippines to go to the Philippines..... ;)

Just sayin'.....

WPI vs Union preview:

WPI comes into Frank Bailey with a 3-1 (0-1 LL) record after their loss to RPI last week at WPI. Union heads home sporting a 2-1 (1-0 LL) record coming off a last minute victory over U of R out in Rochester. Both teams would do well to add a conference win here. A W would put WPI at 500 and gain momentum carrying into conference play. Union looks to go 2-0 in the LL and desperately needs confidence as well as an identity heading into Hobart the following week.

WPI Offense: This offense thus far has been quite efficient and effective. The question mark here (which is the same ? as every year for WPI going into league play) is the strength of their competition and wins. Their first test last week at home vs RPI did not go very well. WPI managed to score some points but was handed a loss by the Engineers. WPI has outscored opponents 144-62 averaging 36.0 ppg. WPI avgs 221.8 yards on the ground having scored 14TD's and 186.8 in the air scoring 5TD's respectively. In regards to league play WPI ranks 1st in the LL in total offense and 1st in the LL in rushing.

WPI Defense: WPI gives up 15.5 ppg allowing 154.2 yds per game and 164.2 through the air. As a Defense they have given up 9TDs in 09. In the league the Bizarroneers are ranked 4th in total defense and 2nd in scoring defense.

Thoughts on WPI: Well every year this team starts strong but plays against **** competition. This year has been more of the same with the lone somewhat impressive W coming against a Salve Regina team that may...may challenge Plymouth State and the Purple Drank for the NEFC title. This team is almost always a question mark. Yet this year the Dutch were given some idea as to the Bizarroneers prowess or lack there of from the result of their loss to RPI last week. RPI comes into week 5 sporting a #3 ERFP ranking which gives WPI some credibility in their hard fought effort in the loss last week. WPI could not handle RPI Fresh QB Mike Hermanan and couldn't put up enough points on O to offset RPI. From this dlip feels that even with the loss WPI has the potential to come into Frank Bailey and leave with a W if Union does not play and execute the way they can. WPI has a nasty QB in Sr Mike Swanton who is both a threat in the air and especially on the ground. Swanton is 49-93 with 2 int and 4td in the air and 41-239 with 4TD's on the ground. This kid is very athletic and can kill a D if he is left unchecked. Others to mention: RB Ernie Mello (39-209-4TDs), RB Aaron Champagne (35-195-4TDs), Back-up QB Pat McAvley (13-195-1TD on the ground). R.C. Grady WR 249yds and 2 TDs avg 15.6 ypg and Nick Bean 133 yards 0TDS avg 11.1ypg. The Bizarroneers have some talent on the O side of the ball and some strength on the defensive side.

Union LL rankings: The Dutch come in ranked 5th in the LL in total offense. They are 2nd in passing and 6th in rushing respectively. On defense the U is 4th in total D and 2nd in scoring D.

Prediction: WPI gives U a very tough game but Audino's boys know they must come out of this night home game with a W. Swanton will give U some fits early but will not be able to keep up with Unions skilled offense thoughout 4 quarters. Unions secondary must make proper reads and not bite on Swantons running because as stated earlier he can/will hurt them through the air if they make mistakes. As usual the Union D will need to get some pressure which will be harder with the absence of Charles Hovespian on the d-line. LB's must also stay home and make Swanton beat them in the air. If Swanton is unable to get the run going because of tough U D and Union forces the pass, Swanton will struggle when Unions secondary can predict the pass. Union comes out on top 34-21.

Nice job .. K+ ... what are your thoughts on Rochester vs RPI??

Anyone else remember a couple of years ago, PITT didn't want to be known as PITT anymore.

What happened to that?

U89 likes 'PITT' and hates that the institution tried to flex their muscles a few years ago.....glad they failed in this BS move.

Hope things are OK!  That typhoon is a beast, akin to Hurricane Andrew was here, apparently.  Any chance it will veer away?

2016 Summer Olympiad will be held in Rio de Janeiro.

Start making plans now, because that is going to be party of the millennium.

Can you believe Chicago didn't get it?  Hmmm...Rio or Chicago? Rio or Chicago?  Rio or Chicago?

DUH!!!

By the way, today is Korea's Thanksgiving Day, and there's not even a football game on (and they don't have or like Turkey).  So it boils down to having a Saturday with nothing to do because all of the restaurants and shops are closed.  The Rev is probably going to take his motorcycle and just drive around town.  It will be The Rev's only chance to enjoy the town in daylight without 10,000 other vehicles trying to occupy the same 5 parking spaces.

I was confused, I thought Michael Moore was doing a sequel documentary to "Supersize Me". Good god, he's growing exponentially! One word for you Michael: Salad.

Back to football, the WPI-UColl game will go a long way in determining whether the Dutchmen are the team that beat Ithaca, or the one who laid an egg at Muleville. I think they win this one in a squeaker, 21-17.

Doid a ton of injuries from the Muhleberg game that will never let them reach the potential I think they had in '09.

Even so.....Union 30.....WPI 17.

The lost bodies will show vs. RPI, 'Bard & Salisbury.

Yes, except the harsh criticism of "laying an egg" would denote zero points by a team (the derivation of the phrase being a "goose egg" based on its shape being like a zero).  Union lost 17-7 to Muhlenberg.  In addition, the defense was responsible for just 7 points given up in that game.  Three points should be credited against the offense for turning the ball over at the 16 and seven to special teams for the kickoff return for a touchdown to open the second half.  U89 points out correctly that the Muhlenberg game meant more because of the injuries to Union than because of the result.

Your usage of "laying an egg" is akin to calling a 14-point win a "stomp."

dlip feels he should have mentioned this: Inside LB for the Dutch John Peters has been named Liberty League Defensice player of the week 3 weeks in a row! This kid has been playing like a ****in defensive freight train and has been nothing short of impressive. Look for him to watch Swanton and read and react to the option this evening.

LL Pick of the week
Today's keys - Ball control no turnovers
12:00 pm St. Lawrence at Hobart – Hobart will need to run effectively and control the ball no mistakes today in LL play.  SLU is only averaging 260 yard of total Offense per game Hobart defense should be too much ..
SLU 17 vs. Hobart 34
1:00 pm Rochester  at Rensselaer  – if Roc stingy run defense can hold RPI down and make them have to pass their maybe an upset today. Utica was RPI's closest game and they were +3 on turnovers and rushed for 200+ yards.  Roc was +3 vs. Union but lost on the last plays of the game, Roc needs to score in the red zone today and force RPI in to a passing battle, to get their first LL win.
Roc 21 vs. RPI 17
2:30 pm Susquehanna at Merchant Marine – this one could be ugly Susquehanna looks to be the real deal and compete for LL title this year. They are averaging 27.5 pts per game and 367 in offense. MM was held to 7 yards on the ground and 200 in the air vs. SLU last week. Long day for the MM cadets ...
Sus 42 vs. MM 14
6:00 pm WPI at Union – Unions run Defense needs to bottle up Ernie Mello  51.5, Aaron Champagne  48.8, Pat McAuley  47.5,and  Mike Swanton  45.0. WPI is run first then pass. This will for Swanton and McAuley (back up) in to passing 150 and 43 ypg respectively.  WPI was + 1 in turnovers vs. RPI. Union needs to run Coney pounding WPI d-line and then Connolly can pass down field to Gallo, Gourrier, and Concannon. Finally balls security will surely be a focus today after last week's -3 day with turnovers
WPI 17 vs. Union 31
