Coup D'Etat...LD11 is leading it...There NEEDS to be a change of the GUARD!!!  There is no excuse.  F**KING RE-diculous.

may gro play devil's advocate for a second?

Ok where were we? I'll say this LD, RPI always seems to have these games where they NEVER MAKE ADJUSTMENTS or change their play calling if it is not working. Its frustrating. Gro is frustrated. Gro needs to de-frustify for a while.

What was up with Coach King warming up Hermann with under 2 minutes to go in the contest?  He can either play or he can't play.  If he could play, he should have been warming much earlier.....if he couldn't play, why even dress him?

Best line of the day today on the broadcast.....(i only listened to about 1Q and 5 minutes)

Kurt:  There are a lot of people here today.

Sidekick:  Yeah, more than we've seen so far at the new stadium.

Kurt:  Well except there seems to be a lot of empty seats in front of the president's section.

Sidekick:  It's probably because of the security surrounding her...

I remember way back when, when the old president actually was introducing himself to fans, including my parents, in the stands, while he sat like a normal fan.  He didn't need the secret service there covering his every move.  What a joke.  Does anyone REALLY care that the president of the college is there?  Gimme a friggin break...just adds to the rest of the circus.

I was confused, I thought Michael Moore was doing a sequel documentary to "Supersize Me". Good god, he's growing exponentially! One word for you Michael: Salad.

Back to football, the WPI-UColl game will go a long way in determining whether the Dutchmen are the team that beat Ithaca, or the one who laid an egg at Muleville. I think they win this one in a squeaker, 21-17.

you read my column. excellent.  :D

Yes, I did. Reread it to see what you were talking about, I now realize what you mean. I guess we'll have to go to the honor review panel to see if that was plagiarism :) Hope it goes better than my last one of those.

The one difference, of course, was that I predicted the game exactly, and you, well, not so much.

Yes, except the harsh criticism of "laying an egg" would denote zero points by a team (the derivation of the phrase being a "goose egg" based on its shape being like a zero).  Union lost 17-7 to Muhlenberg.  In addition, the defense was responsible for just 7 points given up in that game.  Three points should be credited against the offense for turning the ball over at the 16 and seven to special teams for the kickoff return for a touchdown to open the second half.  U89 points out correctly that the Muhlenberg game meant more because of the injuries to Union than because of the result.

Your usage of "laying an egg" is akin to calling a 14-point win a "stomp."

Lighten up, Francis. Go pick a fight with Roger Wehland. Call it whatever the hell you want, they didn't show up against a mediocre team.

Speaking of local news personalities, I always had a thing for Chris Kapostoshe (sp?) myself.

Doid,
What is up with your Wolverine's??  Getting punched in the mouth by MSU.

Fake punk on 4th & 4 inside your own 20?  Has RichRod lost his mind?

I knew it was a mistake for RichRod to stop providing hookers to the players after "PracticeGate" settled down. But I don't blame RichRod, he just wants to be just like every other UM coach, losing to random opponents. I saw this coming, and so did Vegas, given the 3 point line. Typical Michigan.

Luckily, had to step out after the half and coach my son's football and then lacrosse games, so I avoided watching the final half, and having a mini-Jackcat (heart attack) that was inevitable given my reaction to the first half.   I substituted the heart attack with screaming at an 8 year old to play some god-damn defense, or come sit next to his sister on the bench. They actually LIKE when you yell at the kids in sports down here, because they're all nuts.

Hmmm, maybe I should get some hookers for the kids.....

Actually, it was 4th and 4 INCHES at about the 22.  Should have just gone for it straight up - if you can't get 4 inches, you deserve to lose anyway.  Hiking it all the way back to Mesko for a fake was insane.  Mesko is an AA-quality punter, but no athlete: if MSU wasn't even on the field, there was a 50-50 chance he would have tripped before the first down anyway! >:(

For 57 minutes, UM deserved to lose.  After that 92-yard drive in a pounding rain to tie it with 2 seconds left, it was a total shame they lost the OT. :(

Doid: this is why i'm a columnist, not in Vegas or playing the ponies in Saratoga! Thanks for reading the column, seriously.
