Congrats to Coach Cragg on 100 wins.

To weigh in, belatedly, from my handheld on the DewCrew-Frank Rossi feud:

1. Yeah, ATE is a little too in love with Utica. Sorry, man.
2. 'Laying an egg' is NOT synonymous with getting shut out.

Doid,
What is up with your Wolverine's??  Getting punched in the mouth by MSU.

Fake punk on 4th & 4 inside your own 20?  Has RichRod lost his mind?

I knew it was a mistake for RichRod to stop providing hookers to the players after "PracticeGate" settled down. But I don't blame RichRod, he just wants to be just like every other UM coach, losing to random opponents. I saw this coming, and so did Vegas, given the 3 point line. Typical Michigan.

Luckily, had to step out after the half and coach my son's football and then lacrosse games, so I avoided watching the final half, and having a mini-Jackcat (heart attack) that was inevitable given my reaction to the first half.   I substituted the heart attack with screaming at an 8 year old to play some god-damn defense, or come sit next to his sister on the bench. They actually LIKE when you yell at the kids in sports down here, because they're all nuts.

Hmmm, maybe I should get some hookers for the kids.....

See this is why we need more Union guys on here......classic.....+1K for the rest of the week.

That post was ****in awesome Doid23! U89 did you listen to the game last night or watch the stat tracker? What did you think about U. It was kind of a weird game but overall U pretty much dominated the game (not indicitive of the score). Still lots of mistakes and inconsistencies by the O and D that needs tweaking. dlip feels this team still has serious potential, especially on O. dlip does not think they have touched their potential yet.

Hey Dlip,
I was at dinner last night and did not see or hear any of the game.  As you stated, statistically, it appears that Union dominated.  It would have been nice if there was a bit more breathing room on the scoreboard.

Did you hear the great news??  With Unions win, LD is going to elevate the Dutchmen to #1 in his ERFP!!

Eh, ok. I try to be as fair as possible. duly noted.

Solid win by the team from Roch.  No excuses either.   RPI entertained an opportunistic team that was hungry for a win and outplayed RPI for 3 1/2 quarters yesterday.

The Engineer simply didn't finish off some opportunties and couldn't get a stop on numerous 3rd down chances.  Roch played very well and dominated TOP as they intelligently played dink and dunk on many key plays.  TB ran hard and he converted when they called his number.

I still think that they will come back of the break and have a solid second half.  From the looks of the league, it is wide open.  Can forsee RPI getting hot and winning out or 1 loss.

Yesterday was disapointing but not a dealbreaker.  They can beat Susq, Hobart will be at their place and RPI would love to thank them for last year and squash some resurgent post season hopes of the Statesman,  Union will be a typical hard fought "shoes" affair either way, and if I am a player on the RPI team I remember MMA down on a really crappy day (in multiple ways) in NY last year.

Let's get healthy and see what happens.

Doid: this is why i'm a columnist, not in Vegas or playing the ponies in Saratoga! Thanks for reading the column, seriously.

"Columnist" looks a lot better on a resume, though.

(Now if only there were a profitable industry that needed columnists,  :-[ but that's a different issue for a different board.)

Wow, editorial dirty laundry being aired in public.

Maybe it's time for d3football.com to appoint an ombudsman.

redswarm... it's ok. I can handle the criticism. I try to do the column as fair as possible, but sometimes I go overboard. I admit it, but I just want to see my team do well and compete with the Ithacas, RPIs, etc. Sometimes it's good to hear that I'm being biased a little bit or putting to much about my alma mater or whatever. It makes me a better writer and a better fan and a better columnist. But I think Pat would agree that I do a pretty good job with the column, just as Tom did before I started.

As for this week's column, I'll try my best!  ;D

Michigan State is a random opponent for Michigan?

Agreed. Wanted to say inferior, but that obviously isn't correct given that they beat them. Wrong choice of words.

Thanks Gro, she's still bringing it at 52.

I remember the Elf and I seeing her as we were at one of the depressing local malls trying to spend his $50 Christmas gift certificate to Chess King (he must have been running low on skinny red leather ties, or maybe the new Cavariche and Capizzio line was out), and stalking her for quite some time.

Now that I know her new name, I will recommence the stalking.
