pbr has to say, in using google chrome now for awhile and pbr is a big believer...uses a ton less memory than firefox/i.e. and so much faster....pbr sends a +k to google for a solid app...now pbr asks good WHERE IS MY WAVE INVITE!

EDIT: scratch that...pbr's friend the works for google just hit him up w/ a wave invite...

JT is trying chrome now.  JT isn't a professional browser scout but he thinks chrome has blazing speed.

A year ago, Chrome was not ready for prime time.  I guess I'll have to check it out again.  Does it still do that creepy "here are thumbnails of the pages you've looked at the most" when you open a new tab?

It still has it, but The Rev kind of likes it.  LLPP is always right there ready to be clicked on.

A lot of companies are not up on their browsers, and so some stuff like on-line forms cannot be filled out on Chrome.  I can't believe it, but it happens.  Then again, The Rev sees some websites that don't even support Firefox, which is bizarre.

A breaking LLPP update.  JT's mouse in the house is not Mighty Mouse who broke free from a glue trap.  Mighty Mouse is actually a grey squirrel, who was caught today a released in the woods a mile away.

Why release?  He'll just come back.

He won't be back.  He has to cross two major roads. Navigate side streets and find JT house, all while leaving woods chock full of nuts on the ground.  Plus, JT blasted him with mint oil on his chest.  He'll probably stay out of out houses.  That smell (harmless) will bother him for days.

Thoughts on today's game: (dlip will preface this by saying he respects the players, coaches, and officials but feels as a dedicated fan he can question/comment on any of the aforementioned)

-Hobart played a very good game from start to finish with one major mistake; fumble on Union's 2 yard line with the chance to go up 14-0. Being completely honest dlip feels if bart does not fumble there and scores they win. dlip felt officiating was ****ing atrocious and Bart got the worst of it. This bush league **** has got to stop. Where they get some of these officials from dlip does not know but all he knows is these athletes are out there busting their assess and deserve better officiating than dlip sees on a consistent basis at Frank Bailey.

Union was completely out coached on the defensive side of the ball period. dlip cannot remember a team, aside from Springfield, running so well against the U. This may not be reresented by total yards per scrimmage but it is definitely represented by time of possesion and #2's 100 yard game. ****ing Union run D was atrocious and the D coaching was even worse. dlip and co literally sat and before every Bart O play in the first half and said before the snap: "Handoff coming to #2." Sure ****ing enough, we were right. U D coaching should really be ashamed of themselves today and seriously needs to go back to the tool shed. Union D players need to finish tackles and stop overshooting. Missed tackles are becoming a pattern here and not a good one. In dlips mind the Union defensive players have too much ability and skill to not be helped out with making coaching adjusments.

Union O was very solid in the air (Gallo is a ****in stud). Yet even though Coney had a solid game the U running game was sporatic and not consistent in helping the O sustain drives. How many ****in times are you going to set up with no fullback? You have a SO fullback in Grassia who is ****in HUGE and a very good blocker. In the thrid Q especially Coney was left to dry as a result of poor O-line blocking and spread offensive sets. When taking time off the clock get in the I and run the ball down their throat with your FB guiding the way for the leagues most potent rusher to react and adjust to what he sees in front of him.

Overall dlip is estatic over the W but just didn't leave Frank Bailey feeling like this team, right now, can make a serious run to the playoffs without defending the run better, making better adjustments on D, and learning how to sustain drives on O. Maybe dlip is being critical but he is just looking the big picture. Overall his hat goes off to the U players who played hard and gave a great effort in the W.

10 point win over a big league rival. 2nd half shutout. You may be overreacting a little bit dlip. Not saying I dont agree with you....just that when good teams play each other, plays are going to be made on both sides of the ball. The U came out with a big W. They will continue to go to practice and work hard to improve those things that are frustrting you. Try to enjoy the win a little bit though guy, its a big one!

Cant be satisfied though. Gotta win out!

Dude the pest guy told my brother that squirrels are very territorial and will come back if you dont go at least 10 miles away pref over a body of water to release them.  I always sort of questioned this theory so I will be curious to see if he returns....

dlip concurrs Reno and after some dinner out and relaxing dlip feels he was just being a bit "emotional" when posting earlier. There were many positives today which dlip should have noted and looking back his intention was not to be negative ****in Nancy about a 10 pt W over Bart. Hats off to Zach Epply! This kid has done a 180 from 08 and is becoming very consistent. Great field goal today to give U the lead. Boy it feels great to have a kicking game! Also Ancona is kicking the **** out of the ball on kickoffs and punts as well. Great punt in the 2nd half which actually could have gone another two yards to the 1 if left alone....but dlip will take the 3  ;D. Connelly was solid and dlip loves how he adapted to the Bart blitz. He has to realize he must adjust when the Blitz is coming and change plays or react accordingly. Also want to add Gourrier makes that ****in beautiful catch draggin the foot for the first down in the 2nd half. The athletic ability of Jared is amazing. dlip feels he must be one of the best pure athletes in D3 ball. Anyway thanks Reno for the thoughts and reminder. dlip hates being negative and looking back feels he was to much. Heah, we are 3-0 in the LL baby! Go U!

Nice to meet the guys from inside the hudLLe at the`Bart game.Hope you liked the tailgate!Anyhow, this game was back and forth all 1st half. Both teams made adjustments at the break and thus, a scoreless 3rd. The f@$*in 4th however, was decided by the f@$*in refs!Haven`t seen such BS officiating at a college game. All started with a strip of Coney and #52 Guidetti running to the end zone...touchdown `Bart? Nope ,ref says he blew the whistle.Since when does a RB still on his feet and fighting for yards have a play "stopped".I think the ref blew something else.Hobart D was insane...stopping Unionwhen needed...****,there`s another flag down..oops and another.WTF??Every time `Bart held or made a spectacular play on Union`s last scoring drive, the drive continued with help from the officials.Anyone at the game knows what I`m saying..even my Union friends were disgusted.Pass interference my ass! Should have been offensive if any call and the last pass interference call was made by the far side official...about 4 seconds AFTER the play was over.Gotta bad taste in my mouth after watching that series of BS calls one after the other.24-21 and `Bart was rollin`. Doesn`t matter anymore, but a game like this should not be decided by the officiating. That crew was a fn joke and the LL and the NCAA should watch that game tape.DISGUSTING!!!TOTAL BS!!!Feelin` bad for the pumpkin heads, but hold your heads high. You all played your asses off and deserve credit where credit is due.Union was very lucky and will still have a tough time winning the LL.Go `Bart!!!
Geez Ward, don`t you think you were a little rough on the Beaver last night?

Noted.  We've made it very inhospitable for squirrels once we found out it was a squirrel.  First figured it might be a couple mice, because of the grey hair.  Ate apples, hot dog buns, and bananas... OK. MF'er then eats raw plantains, that ain't mice.

Congrats to Union.  There are some things I'm frustrated with from the game, but I really believed and still do until proven otherwise, that the winner of that game wins the LL (for Bart, the momentum of winning on the road against a good team, which no one has done in the LL this year would've proven a changer for the team).  Considering RPI has a loss and they have both Bart and Union on the road this year (meaning I don't believe they will win both on the road).

Dlip, I've been pining for more normal rushing, yesterday was almost over the top, about lining up Marlier and running him 15-25 times.  Everyone thought Bart had no running game, but how do you know when your two top backs are splitting 18 carries.  They've gotten good push all year on the O-Line, as opposed to their pass blocking, so don't take that too badly.  It's really a function of the playcalling being shaky all year (and last year with the personnel we have).  Look at some of the funky plays, toss back could've been a 5-6 yard rush instead its a sack on the QB.  Vella isn't Strom, so let's stop trying to recreate that.  In fact, they retrenched to the pass game a lot more in the second half and it didn't do much for them.  Vella could be good, but he doesn't have any poise or football IQ right now.  Can't believe Vincent dropped that third down conversion in the 3rd.  That was unusual for him.  D played pretty well, but missed tackles and gave up a couple of big plays (Union's three scores in the 1st half were on two long pass plays, one a short pass and no tackling, and a long rush).

Very frustrating, but that's the end of Bart's playoff run.  If everyone ignored them before I can't wait to see it now.  More stories about Utica  and Hartwick in teh ATR while Bart just killed their five straight year run in the playoffs (7 of 9 including 2000 and 2002).

Bart37 while I am in agreement regarding some of your thoughts on the officiating (having mentioned it earlier in a deleted post) Bart had plenty of opportunties to win this game and dlip firmly believes as poor as the officiating was, it was consistent. The whistle was blown onn the Guidetti play because of forward progress, dlip was right there and saw it clearly. Was it an early whistle? Yes, but a whislte none the less. Secondly on the PI calls they were consistent. Again dlip feels they were soft calls, but both times the Bart player clearly impedded the reciever and it was obvious the way those idiots were calling the game they were going to throw flags any ****in chance they had. Overall dlip feels Bart lost because of one reason; they stopped running the ball in the second half. Union could not, dlip repeats, could not stop the straight on run from the I and even out of a spread type formation. Once Cragg started calling pass plays and fancy **** Bart's O feel a bit out of flow. Barts O-line was very impressive throughout and Marlier showed he can put his head down and follow blockers well, he impressed dip. Anyway dlip concurrs about the porr officiating but this is nothing new to Bart/Union and really the LL as a whole. The officiating must be addressed at some point because as dlip stated earlier, these kids work to hard to be dicked around by 50 year old men who would be better off playing ****ing shuffle board than calling a college football game.

Remember how much The Rev ranted and raved after coming all the way from AZ to see Bart play and lose?  Imagine if The Rev had come all the way back from Korea as he considered doing a couple months ago.  The Rev would be so out of his tree with anger that The Rev would probably be in a TSA holding cell right now being questioned by the Feds for ranting and raving in the airport.

As it is, The Rev just finished off a couple of beers and some chicken with some random girl he met at a bar last week.  Not that great looking, but at 38 what can The Rev really hope for at this point, eh?  The Rev just hopes she's good at cooking and cleaning.

38 should be shooting for a junior in college Rev.

BTW, to the Hobart guys, if you care, they had a fallball tournament at Annapolis vs. Georgetown and Harvard yesterday.  The FR class is light on accolades (bc of how Hanna handled Kerwick and the dropping to DIII situation), but I've heard its the best team in terms of no stars from Georgetown Prep or Boys Latin being selfish in a number of years.
