Good game so far tonight, Smokey Williams just loves playing the Jets.  KS loves that Channing Crowder and Leon Washington still hate each other since their college days.

Shadenfreude: What Jet fans feel when watching Mangini's QB go 2 for 17, 23 yards, 15.1 QB rating.

I hate the Phins, but for some reason dig those Monday night uni's.

Of course Ted Ginn and Mark Sanchez are having great games tonite.  Looks like Cincy Bowties are going down to the worst team in the league because of this.. At least its been fun to watch.. And Braylon Edwards is finally out of Cleveland and trying again on the football field.

Yes, the East Region Fan poll page has absolutely been blown up by The Unabomber... Wow

;D ;D ;D

I don't watch MNF very often, but couldn't resist the first Jets game of (Michigan's) Braylon Edwards (who scored one TD, and set up two others) vs. the sub qb Chad Henne (from Michigan), who played GREAT (20/26, 241 yds, 2 TD, 0 INT; some speculated whether Pennington just got 'Pipped', but they were all UM fans, so who knows! ;D).  In my totally unbiased opinion, Miami's Jake Long (also UM, who woulda guessed? 8)) was also the dominant lineman tonite.

The hidden secret to NFL success: have more Wolverines than the opponent! :D

Dr. Rosenpenis was estatic with 1 W in the LLPPFFL let alone 2. Holy **** now at 2-3 Rosenpenis has some momentum!

Pep saw two NFL games this past weekend. Both games had Pep laughing, but for different reasons.

One game was a hilarious display of total ineptness that was downright awful. Pep was laughing when not once, but TWICE Buffalo was pinned inside its one-yard-line and not once but TWICE an offensive lineman jumped early. In both cases, it made no difference because there was no room to assess even a half-the-distance penalty.  ::)  Neither offense seemed to want to win and a muffed punt in the final minutes led Cleveland to the game-winning FG in a 6-3 barn burner. Thank God the fans were spared another 15 minutes of agony in a bound-to-be scoreless overtime.

The other was a glorious display of intense creative, productive competition that was a delight. The lead changed five times in the fourth quarter and fans were treated all night to Miami's wildcat offense, a very effective Chad Henne, the Jets' successful fake punts, Mark Sanchez finding a go-to guy in Braylon Edwards....gosh that was fun....the 31-27 Fins win was more like a D3 game! Which got Pep thinking...the NFL has cheerleaders but perhaps it's time to introduce NFL Pep Bands. Think of all those unemployed musicians who could add to the atmosphere!

Pep thinks Braylon Edwards, even with the Jets loss, has got to be happy he was in Miami last night and not in Orchard Park on Sunday.

Dr LD,

I'd like to thank you for your FF help.  PA is dropping some wood on the rest of his league, now up 3-0 and 40 pts ahead of next closest (through three weeks) 2-1 competitor.  Thought I was screwed last week because I picked up Flacco (thinking about the secondary issuse for Cinci when watching hard knocks) and didn't do much, but I also had Rice in there for LT (last second switch and was also considering Moreno), so that 70 yard screen from Flacco to Rice was excellent.  Peterson and A Johnson haven't done anything exceptional yet and Colston (and Witten) have been disappointments, but I'm getting by bc Gostkowski and the Raven's D are giving me double digit pts every week.

I need to pick up a TE for this week for Witten.  Would I be crazy to think Shockey might go off against the Giants?  Some other options are Heath Miller, John Carlson, Chris Cooley and Brent Celek (vs. Oak, my other interesting option, I just don't know since Maclin and Jackson are playing pretty well how much they'll go to the TE).  Any thoughts?

Ouch, that hurt. Well, actually, no it didn't. If it were true that would hurt, but of course, it's not even close, so, no pain. Never let the facts get in the way of a good line.

Fair enough Doid.  What if I modified it to:

Too bad that is also the secret to being totally irrelevant to anyone in major college football outside of of ESPN's offices.

PBR...

How do you get from Philly to LA?

You take Houston Street!
Heyyyyyyyy  Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

JQV

+k PBR.

No matter what Houston Street does as a pro, I will always remember him as Texas' starting 3B.  They played UF in the College World Series and, during the 8th inning, Texas would have a catcher outside their dugout so Street could start getting his arm loose to close from his position in the field.  He'd throw a pitcher or two from third base to this catcher between every pitch of the actual game.  Classic.

I'll buy that.
