Weather forecast for the LAA vs. NYY is 40 degrees and with the wind chill will feel like the 20's.  Ouch.  This ain't baseball.

It could easily be solved by the Yankees agreeing to play all games at LAA! ;D

JT could be off by a few days, but right about now Reggie was hitting three jacks to end it all against the Dodgers in 1977.  At least there are half innings to warm up.  A weak El Nino is supposed to be to blame.  JT is used to hitting dudes in football gear when its this cold, not a baseball.

Baseball cannot be played well in the cold, it can't be played well in the rain, even a warm rain.

Reggie hit those three HRs on October 18.  None of the players was wearing a frickin' ski mask.

Willie Mays made "The Catch," considered by many to be the greatest play ever made in a World Series game, on September 29.

Fargin' Gators win, thanks in part to referees making TWO lame calls in their last TD drive, thanks in part to Arkansas' failure to convert several opportunities.

Charlie Weis is not slim.  I thought USC-ND was always played in LA.

Wasn't it just this week that you said you never complain about officiating??  This could be the 3rd or 4th post this week from you on the subject.

I used the word "loath."

I'm not the biggest fan of Joe Buck, but he had the best line of the playoffs so far: "Remember kids, when catching a popup, always use four hands."  (After A-Rod and Mariano Rivera converged to catch a popped up bunt)

PHHHEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWw

That was TGP and the entire city of LA exhaling after SC finally held on to win at ND.

Wow - HTF did the Trojans let those guys back in this game?

Credit Clausen and ND - they gave SC a good fight.

Woh - wait a sec.  The zebras giving ND 1 more chance (like the 5th one more chance on this drive).

Ok -

The Rev was just looking over the standings and is now kind of amazed how different this year seems to be compared to the past few years.

The Rev is a little disappointed that Rochester beat Merchant Marine, not because Rev has suddenly become a USMMA fan, but because The Rev has enjoyed seeing a perennial bottom-dweller rise up to the top.  Third in the LL is nothing to sniff, though.  They are having a great year.

The Rev finds himself pulling for Susquehanna.  Again, The Rev has not suddenly become a Susq fan, but rather The Rev simply enjoys seeing a team that is normally not at the top doing so well.  Too bad it is their last year in the LL.  The Rev would also like to point out that The Rev is not pulling for the Crusaders because The Rev is anti-Union.  The Rev respects Union and will root for them if they end up winning the league and going to the play-offs.  We keeps it real in the LLPP.

Rev.....to pull for a team which is going to take the crown to another conference next year seems kind of silly.

Only because I was asleep when these posts went down. :)

Same to you guys. Deleted a couple this time.

The deletes were gratuitous, since, as you may not have noticed before pulling the trigger, a key phrase in The Rev's post, "But this is a discussion for the Politics Board," and brought the subject back to the important thing: how the birds look.

Michelle Malkin: Fit.
Ann Coulter: Emaciated Poultry.

I did.

However, it also was part of the discussion and quoted the discussion, therefore it was excised with the discussion.

Just got back from the GT/VT game (GT's GT's homecoming amazingly), which was fun as hell, considering they just dropped top five VT.  Have to say, I'll root for Union vs. Anyone in the playoffs, but the LL is kind of like jockeying for the.best seat on the little yellow bus this year.  Odds are pretty good that the ceiling the the second round of the NCAA's.  I actually feel worse for Alfred who's been knocking on the door for a few years and may ne the best in the East this year, but its such a weak year in the East that its just not the same.  GO JACKETS!!!!!!!

If it gets any worse for the LL champion record-wise, they may have a hard ceiling of the first round, as in a trip to Alliance, Ohio.  ( I think this could only happen if Union were to lose to Salisbury or if Susq somehow ended up the champion)

If any of you guys are around, what's the protocol woth neighbor above your apartment of the south amaerican persuasian blasting spansogh house music?  It's only 12ish, I'm drunk from the Tech/Tech game, but my wife is in bed and has to be in work at 9:30 tomorrow (she's a retail mgr).  Should I just let it go, party with the latina faction, or go up there and ask them to take it down a notch?

My instinct is to habg w/those cats, who I've done shots with beforea but I've been married about a year now and don't want to fight her either,  Maybe I'll just pass out on the couch and reassess the LL in the AM

Unless the LL Champ has 3 losses, they will not be the #8 seed.  There's just no precedent for pushing a conference champion that low without that poor of a record.

Then who would go in that coveted 8th spot?

I guess the likelihood is that a 2 loss LL champion would not be playing Mount Union in the first round, but it is still possible to have 3 losses and still be the LL champion, in which case then there might be a problem.

Wait for the seeds.....as Frank said, the LL Champ could have 3 losses and in that case maybe be a #8 seed.  The # 8 could go anywhere at this point....at this point for you to ask, "if the LL Champ is not the #8 seed...then who"...is ridiculously short sighted.

PG, you talk about how bad it is for the LL, 'record wise'....Union is 5-1.  I may b1tch and moan about how they have gotten to 5-1, but you can't scoff at a 5-1 record.
