In my $$$FFL, we have 3 divisions, NFL style playoffs(3 division winners, 3 wild card).

I finished 10-3, tied for the best record out of 12, with a guy in my division.  He had more points...therefore, I get the 4 seed.  Friggin ridiculous, because I have no bye week next week, and I have to play the 5 seed rather than the 6 seed.  Typical.

I can't speak on God's behalf but, I can tell you that two NCs and a Heisman apparently aren't good enough for all the bandwagon Gator fans that have materialized as of late.

PBR...

tabloids have hit the gold mine right before the holidays...this after an ambulance took elin's mother away from the house last night at 2:30 am...crazy 'ish...tigers girls now at 10 w/ what at least another 10 for sure yet to come forward...

"He didn't use a condom...It wasn't even discussed. He just never used one." In addition, Grubbs claims that Tiger was never curious about whether or not she was on birth control.

This news comes with verification from another alleged Tiger Woods mistress: restaurant manager Mindy Lawton. What does this mean? While it is certainly not a crime to have unprotected sex, Tiger was surely taking a gamble by risking another addition to his family.

6) Randy White
7) Mean Joe Green (The North Texas teams are the "Mean Green". Not a nickname, but the official name).
8.) Reggie White
9) Leroy Selmon
10) Steve Emtman
11) Chris Zorich
12) Tony Casillas

Yup, it's December in the LL. How long until August? (thank god for lax)

KS had forgotten about Leroy Selmon, he used to throw O-lineman around for fun, he was a beast, so was his brother at LB.

I think Tebow is very good...but not an all-time great like some people have made him out to be.  Top 3 to 5 player of All-Time...really?  I mean he was a bit player on the first NC team (freshman year), monster sophomore year and the Heisman on an average team, great junior year and his first NC as a starter, and a good senior year.

I can name quite a few QB's who won a Heisman and won one NC as a starter.  When I hear All-Time great...I think you look for a guy with multiple, unanimous, first team All-American accolades.  Tebow doesn't have that...which doesn't make the kid "not great", just not one of the best players of All-Time.

Anyone willing to bet he finishes a distant 5th place in the Heisman voting and simply got the invite to NYC as kind of a token career achievement award?

Name 5 better players all time.

In 2006, he led the National Champs in rushing touchdowns ( 8 ) and threw for 5 more.

He had a total of 140 career TDs and rushed for more TDs than Hershel Walker, who is probably the best runner in the history of the SEC.

And he did it all against SEC defenses unlike all the record holders who got their numbers at Hawaii, McNeese State or Mount Union.

He was still a bit player in 2006...what else would you call a guy that rushed for 39 yards on 10 carries and a late TD and was 1/1 for 1 yard and 1 TD in garbage time during the NC game...a big time player???

I am not saying his stats aren't impressive, or that he isn't great...just not an all-time, once in a generation type player.  I think he was a great player in a system that was perfect for him.

Name 5 players that were better?  Let me know when you want me to stop...Jim Thorpe, Hershall Walker, Vince Young, Hugh Green, Archie Griffin, Dick Butcus, Glen Davis, Marcus Allen, Tony Dorsett, Earl Cambell, Jim Brown, Barry Sanders, Red Grange, Doak Walker, Charles Woodson, John Elway, Archie Manning, Roger Staubach, Tommy Frazier...

I have a question for you guys (honestly): how much do you consider how set up a player is for the NFL when talking about how good he is?

Yanks +k for the Jim Thorpe shoutout.... although I'm not sure you'd have any evidence to back that one up.

I consider it pretty strongly...when you consider a guy to be a top 3-5 player of all time...they should be able to have at least "some" success at the next level (I say some for guys like Vince Young...who the jury is still out on).  The rare exception is Frazier...who I think will only have a marginally worst career then Tebow in the pros, as I don't think Tebow will ever catch on in any sort of significant role in the pros.  I should state that I DO NOT think Frazier is one of the greatest 3-5 players of all time...but certainly in the running for the greatest QB of all time.

And how could we not mention Thorpe?  Impossible to compare eras...but I will take the two time AA and the guy that was named the greatest athlete of the first half century (with all reports saying football was his best sport) over Tebow...

C'mon LewDogg.  Records are NOT indicative of who had the best teams in this 18 team league.  Look at all the huge point totals that some teams had with mediocre or worse records.  This is why TDT favors a "rotisserie" style league as opposed to a Head-to-Head league.  In this case you wouldn't be continuing to cock off about how great your team is...
