To dlip Leach is starting to come across here as quite the stupid ****. Any coach who relegates a player to a ****ing closet is stupid if not only for the reason that it could come back to bite the coach in their ass. To be honest though out of all of this dlip has lost a lot of respect for ESPN and their biased reporting. On top of this dlip feels the one who comes out looking the worst here (and rightfully so are the) is the James family. Adam James seems like a ****ing entitled cornhole whose ass should be be dismissed from Tech ASAP. Craig James seems even worse because he should know better than to use his position to leverage his personal agenda for his son on the football field. Leach should have told him to **** off right off the bat and remind him that he was a parent and should act just like the rest of the parents with no exceptions. dlip feels Craig will get his sooner than later in some form or another. dlip is sure that he is not the only one who has lost all respect for this asshole and will enjoy when Craig's lack of professionalism and objectivity is truly exposed.

The whole issue I had with this whole Texas Tech thing is that Leech was initially supsended because of the incident, then Leech goes to the courts and then Texas Tech ends up firing him?  Maybe Frank can add something about this but it seems like Leech might have a case here now against Texas Tech.

Leach forced the school's hand, from the way I understood it.  Technically, the school could not suspend the coach in this fashion because of some clause in his contract that provided specific steps for suspension.  That's why Leach was seeking the injunction.  In order to prevent Leach from having a leg to stand on in court that day, the school had no other way to prevent him from coaching in the Alamo Bowl but to terminate him.  Was it the money or Leach's force play in the court that got him fired?  We'll never know for sure.  But to answer your question, the school needs to show that it had independent rationale for reprimanding Leach in the first place and had no other option but to fire him in order to prevent further damage.  I don't think he has good legal standing here since he did something that is against public policy in the first place (so whether or not contract law applies, public policy is an important consideration in a case like this where the harm to student-athletes could be prevented by removing him in the school's/courts' eyes).  Likely, we will see a settlement in the vicinity of $500,000 to just end this nightmare for both Leach and the school.  That's all Leach can really hope for here, reasonably.

Thats kind of what I was thinking, if it was Leach's force play in the court that got him fired, I think he might get some money out of it..  but it will come down to whether or not Leech wanted James to stand up in a small space or not.  I mean, if the school knew he did this and didn't fire him, that says something as well.  If James was just told to ice up in some garage where there was no sun, thats a different story. 

Theres also the fact that Leach has now came out publicly and started bashing everyone.  That isn't going to help him.

I still have a feeling that Leach is going to make out in this thing in the end.
