warning sniper ....wtf did pbr say to get dinged? azz whoever u r...  +k to everyone to offset the sniper

From the looks of the logs, someone who didn't like your gun stance. Smited you and one other person.

dlip gonna hit the last two pages with some k as a result of the sniper striking. To be honest even though it seems as if everyone disagrees with dlip's gun stance he still felt there were some good points made for both sides. One thing dlip knows he needs to work on is the way he debates when he is talking about things he is passionate about. dlip tends to let his emotions take over a bit and when this happens he tends to make some comments that border on personal attacks against others he likes. Gun control is just something dlip is very passionate about as a result of his uncle being shot at a hold up when dlip was a child. It was very emotional and scary. One thing that stuck with dlip was that his uncle, who at the time was a world ranked power lifter and a bad ass mother****er to say the least. While working late one night he was shot by some punk mother****ers and almost died. The bullet remains lodged in his stomach mucles to this day. If those ****ers attempted that robbery with almost anything aside from a hand gun they would have gotton their ****ing asses kicked. Needless to say all involved are out and about and no longer incarcerated.

Knowing that one is going up against an unarmed man makes many a thug very brave.

JT, you are so predictable! :P

Did dlip give ANY hint that the thugs would have known his uncle was unarmed?

I'd venture to guess that 98% of 'thug' guns come from 1) burglaries from legitimate gun owners and 2) rogue dealers, who could care less about background checks.  Gun control would seriously reduce #1; proper enforcement of gun control would chip away at #2.

Rather than raising the issue of how far the Columbine shooters would have gotten were it not for 'gun show' exemptions to the laws, I'll re-raise the suggestion that this discussion move to 'politics'. ;)

[And lest anyone think I am anti-gun, I used to routinely score 390+ (of 400) on the 'prone, sitting, kneeling, standing ('offhand')' competitions, and am willing to bet I'm the only one with a 30-caliber casing with a .22 through the middle.]

If someone breaks into my home, I want them to at the very least, be worried that I have a piece too.

On to bigger and better things, hopefully the mother****in lamp is lit here in the LLPP for the weekend. Man dlip loves the weekends! Anyone have any thoughts on Boise State ending the year at #4 going undefeated?

Trade you. I've got to help coach a lacrosse clinic today, which normally is no problem, except it's 15 degrees outside with the brutal Dallas wind coming out of West Texas. A year out of New York, and I'm already a pansy about cold weather. Oh, and J-E-T-S JETS! JETS! JETS!

Personal safety is not a political issue. Criminals will always find a way to get guns if they want them.  Starting out of college, JT didn't always live of work in the best neighborhoods.  Thankfully, at time he lived in states where he could carry.

Like the Rev., he wanted people to see it.  Never had a problem. With the short hair, he looked like an off duty cop.

JT is hoping to sneak peeks at the Jets game.  We're off to visit Mom in law in the hospital.  Looks like she'll be release Monday.  So at least that's good news.

Good to hear JT glad she is O.K. Jets win a big one today running the ball. Cincy stacked the box but could not stop Greene and Jones on the ground. Sanchez also played mistake free football with a TD pass and no picks. Congrats to the Jets.

Tuberville to Texas Tech & Pete Carroll to the Seahawks?

In U89's opinion, both moves will fail miserably.  Carroll has the world by the nuts at USC....I don't see his rah, rah stuff working at the NFL level.  Tuberville, walked into a powerhouse at Auburn and eventually drained the life out of the program.....let's see him recruit kids to come to Lubbock, TX.

pumkinattack

PA went to the GTech - Duke BB game earlier.  Couple of comments:

1.  G Tech has all this talent and the worst X and O's gut around (blew the last TO then needed it 30 sec later).
2.  Duke fans suck.  Calling Rev:  The hottest Dookie there was this fit Asian bird with a tight Dook jersey on.
3.  Duke sucks.  They've got like eight white guys in their ten man rotation, the brothers are ok, #55 with the Amish chin strap is a stiff and Scheyer is overrrated - a poor man's Redick w/o the players around him.
4.  The ACC probably can't carry the Big East's jockstrap this year based on what I've seen.
5.  FSU looked better two weeks ago then Duke.

JT thinks its really uphill for the Jets now, but ya gotta be in it to win it.
