very informative posts from the rev and lyco80...you learn something new here everyday on the LLPP. lyco80 thank you again for your service, especially during these very trying times.

J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS!

Proud to wear the cloth of the Nation.

Haiti is indescribably tragic - reports from friends are almost too sad to even read.

I urge everyone to do even a little as if we all give some it will have a big impact.

Pray for your armed forces - everywhere - they are our sons and daughters, neighbors, brothers, fathers, mothers, sisters - and walk in some very dangerous neighborhoods most of the time.

JT prays daily for the military.  Would their actions be heroic in Haiti?  As long as they are not air raiding villages and killing civilians.  I will NEVER forget who said that.  Sorry excuse for a human being that he is.

The Rev has been asked to teach 8-12 graders how to play American Football for an hour a week.
Rev knows he only has time to do some basics and to let kids play a five-on-five version of touch football.
Any suggestions about how to set up four one-hour football sessions?

J-E-T-S. Thud. But you know, I'll take it. Can't complain about the Jet's effort today, they showed up and made a game of it for 3 quarters, but the better team won. Great season, didn't expect to get to the AFC Championship Game, now let's hope it's not another decade+ until they get to another one.

If it's any comfort, a large part of the loss was due to a d3 guy.  Pierre Garcon (MUC) had 11 receptions for 151 yards and a TD.

+k Ypsi to the Garcon reference. That mother****er was on a mission and was nothign short of awesome! Boy did he represent D3 today! Yeah the Jets lost but I agree with Doid that they played hard and left it on the field. Manning is just "that good," and the Jets couldn't hang for the duration. Great season for the Jets. By the way dlip blames JT for jinxing the Jets today :P!

Nope, no comfort in that, none at all.

Now, Brett Favre just throwing a classic Brett Favre pick at the end of the Saints game? Yup, that provided me comfort.

Did it seem like Farve could have run for an easy 10 yards on that INT play?

correct-a-mundo...obviously he should have but 2 things pbr thinks worked against it. first was favre said in the post game interview he wasnt sure how many yards they needed to get for a decent shot for their field goal kicker. so he passed thinking he could get more yards than running. part 2 was w/ the bad ankle not sure how much favre thought he could get again going to being unsure about where they needed to get for their field goal kicker.

**** btw...pbr watched the movie "deliverance" on sat. night again...man that movie is just disturbing to watch and freaks pbr out everytime. that kid that plays banjo is one scary cat

Kira & Jaxon's Dad

I was thinking the same thing with ankle, but usually in games the adrenaline takes over.

It looked like there was a receiver along the sidelines (about 8 yards down the field) who was more open than the one he threw to though.

cuz I am bored...

the compiled predictions are as follows:

Colts 29
Jets   17

Saints 31
Vikes   26

....so that means both favorites cover, Colts go over and Saints stay under.

That is exactly the opposite of how I was going to bet.  I had both dogs covering, the Jets and under and the Vikes and over....now what???

Wow...82...not bad...off by one point in the Colts-Jets game (30-17) and two points in the Vikes-Saints game (31-28)...

Has anyone else indulged int he show on Spike 'Blue Mountain State'?  It's about a college football team and the shenanigans at college.  It's basically all about getting wasted, getting stank on the hang-low, and pocket pu$$ies.  It's pretty awesome.  I would highly recommend to check it out.
