lamp is lit...pbr is heading for the barn...

WTF, about an hour ago boss calls a 6:00 meeting. Argghhhhhh! +K to the rest of you lucky bastages, enjoy the weekend.

Good news, no more meeting at 6:00. Bad news, moved to 6:30. Motherdlipper!

At least I got to read Simmon's column on Tiger:

Mr. Ypsi

Thanks to all you wage-slaves for lighting the lamp.  Mr. Ypsi is retired and otherwise doesn't know when the weekend begins! ;D

JT

JT forgot Scarface... JT once forgot the in-laws were over.  He just started doing Tony.  JT just flips into Tony when no body is watching.  Hard to explain to people that have never seen the flick.  Oh well.

Tonight was haircut time for the Mrs.  we go back to the old neighborhood.  Cut and color is like $55 instead of $125 in the new hood.  Plus the guy that owns the salon owns the attached bar.  MJT gets the hair worked on and JT goes to happy hour.  Then we go to the Italian BYO... for JT that would be lighting of the lamps.

Speaking of in-laws and movies, reminds me of when now wife and I were dating, were up skiing with Chief High Socks when was coaching at Penn, he says that he and Toop go to see Reservoir Dogs, went back and saw it again the next night it was so good, and that I have to see it.  Wife hears this, doesn't realize that both are demented (doesn't know Toop), so when I go over to her parents house over Easter a few weeks later, she says she rented a movie. Turns out she took the Psycho Twins advice, and as she's putting Reservoir Dogs into the VCR, says that "Doid's friends saw it twice it was so good". Before I know what's happening, the move starts into the scene with the group talking raunchy ish, Madonna blow j*bs, etc. The grandmother was the first to leave, followed by the mother, and finally the sister and father 4 minutes later. My brother in law is laughing his ass off at me, and wife's looking at me like who in thee hell are your friends. I just sit there silently, and slip out about 30 minutes later. Good times...

dlip currently watching the Siena vs Butler Bracketbuster game. dlip feels if the Saints win this one, and win all their remaining games with the exception of one (maybe in MAAC tourney) they should receive an at-large. Siena losses today then they must mother****in win the Maac to get in.

let's go saints!

Siena gets homogenized in the second half and is blown out, ****!

"Chief High Socks" & Tooper......I would take their advice before Ebert & Roeper....that may not be a good thing though.

We had an alumnus at the Hobart Sigma Chi house who would occasionally send a shoebox with his own poop in it.  The return address was always labeled: "Uncle Ernie"

The Rev would see the box and just chuckle.  The NIBs would always want to open the box to see what was in it.  "Go ahead, NIB.  It's just a box with some newspaper and poop."
"Oh, like you really know, Rev."
"Yep."
The Rev would walk away, perhaps down to the kitchen to make a Steak-um Sammich.  He'd hear the shouting, some laughter, and a scuffle.  Then someone would run down to accuse the Rev of sending it.  Obviously, it was the only way I could have known.  No, I was a NIB once and was delighted by the first box I came across.  Every time I saw another box arrive, I knew someone was thinking of us.

Now that the "E-X" house at Hobart is gone and has been defiled by the presence of non-substance abusing women, I wonder if Brother Uncle Ernie still sends the occasional box of poop to the dismay of some William Smith student who makes the mistake of opening it?  The Rev deeply hopes that he does.  That's love.

dlip gives the Bulldogs a ton of credit. Siena's stars played like **** yesterday but a lot of that (aside from the lackadasical play from Ubiles) was a result of the Bulldogs second half tenacity and hard work in the paint. Many have speculated about Edwin Ubiles's chances of making it to the NBA. After yesterday's bull**** showing dlip thinks that question has been answered on a national stage. He may just end up playing some pick-up at the local Y, ****in shame.
