POLITICS ALERT
I hadn't really even heard of this Eric Massa stuff until I saw Saturday Night Live last night, but this quote is classic stuff:

"Now they are saying I groped a male staffer,'' he told Mr. Beck. "Yeah I did. Not only did I grope him. I tickled him until he couldn't breathe and then four guys jumped on top of me. It was my 50th birthday. It was kill the old guy. You can take anything out of context.''

So that everyone's clear, that was Massa's OWN quote, not an SNL quote. Sometimes, the real thing is funnier (or sadder, as the case may be) than what you could make up. This dude is a clown.

Did you see him on Larry King Live trying to explain his other quotes?

KING: And we're back with Congressman Eric -- former Congressman Eric Massa.

It may be silly, but I guess we have to ask it, are your -- are you gay?

MASSA: Well, here's that answer, I'm not going to answer that.

In -- in year 2010?

Why don't you ask my wife, ask my friends, ask the 10,000 sailors I served with in the Navy.

Don't think that last line helped him...

Could a fellow Jet's fan (or anyone, for that matter) explain to me why the Jet's want LT? LT 5 years ago I get, LT now? Not so much. Unless we're looking for a 3rd and 1 back who can't get the 1...

Doid,
At least you're not a Browns fan.  Would you rather have Brady Quinn attempt to continue to grow at QB or have the old, inept Jake Delhomme inserted??

Brady Quinn is no longer an option.  Traded to Denver today.  Quinn gone, Anderson gone, Seneca Wallace and Delhomme added.  I don't like any of those options.

I think Jake and/or other veteran QBs is the only option for teams like the Browns.  Unless you can get a sure #1 pick at QB, you can't waste any time on guys like Quinn, J. Russell, etc.

I think Quinn could have matured into something......You already know what you have in Delhomme and that 'aint good.  Brady Quinn for Peyton Hillis and a 6th Rounder seems silly to me, but it is the Browns.

dont be surprised to see 1 of the eagles qb's traded to the browns. either mcnabb or kolb are most likely although how ironic to have vick and the dawg pound! andy reid and holmgren are good friends and tom heckert was the eagles g.m. the last several years and knows all the eagles qb's well. pbr is thinking 1 of the 3 eagles qb's will be coming west soon

Well, you know what I say, you can never have enough 32 year running backs in this league, especially ones with 3,000 carries.

I dig LT, one of the most fun RB's to watch in his prime,  so don't want to hate on him, but this is a weak signing. I'll be interested to hear what he's making. I can't imagine it's less than the $5M over 2 years they passed on with Thomas Jones. And I thought the Jones decision was the right one, and he was a hell of a lot more productive than LT last year.

Man, let Greene be the back we hope he is.

KS, is that what you guys did in your spare time on the electric boat---grope and tickle each other until you giggled like giddy school girls?

Rev,

Just so we are all clear:

It is USN policy to neither confirm nor deny the practice of tickling to improve morale and retention.  Such information is classified on a "need to know" basis only.

As a Broncos fan dlip is quite pleased with the addition of Quinn. dlip feels he is smart and has some potential if he is given the time to develop. dlip feels the Broncos should give Quinn both the time and opportunity to do so in 10. Not like they're going to the ****ing Superbowl either way.

Congrats to the Union College Hockey Dutchmen for defeating Q-pac and heading to the Times Union Center for thje ECAC final four. dlip will be there for sure! The U may just have a solid chance to get to the finals drawing SLU for the first game. The U defeated SLU both times this season and have the potential to beat them a third here where it counts the most. We shall see though. SLU is VERY well coached and hard working team. It will be interesting for sure. Congrats Union and maybe RPI can fill up your bus with gas on the way to the TU center Friday morning since they have nothing else to ****ing do. ;)

Wow, I did not see that, crazy ish. And a few of the sailors who served under him (pun intended) are coming out (pun intended) and outing him (pun intended) for his behavior (the famous "Massa Massage") as their commanding officer. I guess the question remains, how did someone this clueless get elected?

Brutal....a good deal of my friends homes have been flooded.  Boston is expected to get over 10 inches of rain when all is said and done tomorrow.

I can neither confirm nor deny groping or tickling on board United States Naval vessels.

It's reading reports like this that quickly b-slap TGP back into reality.

TGP will often wax poetic about living back east whilst paying regotdamdiculous CA prop taxes, LADWP bills, worrying about private school tuition b/c the public schools here are worse than third world countries, the fact our CA state gov't is f-ed, etc.

TGP also thinks about ditching sunny SoCal for personal/professional reasons, but it's crap like these storms TGP needs to remember before greenlighting a move - especially given its about 75 degrees and sunny here in LA at the moment.

Anyone in the LLPP running brackets?
